We currently have an e-commerce website with a bunch of other features so accounts are necessary.
We're moving over the store over to Shopify but currently customers have to login on our website, then again on the shop. I've been unable to find any Single Sign On documentation, what would be the best solution?
I was considering making the login form post to both our back-end and Shopify to trick Shopify into creating a session but i'm not sure how reliable it'd be.
The website is PHP & MySQL.
Single sign-on is available but only in Enterprise plans. You need to contact Shopify for these plans and access to single sign-on.

I am writing rest api using one of the PHP cms for a eCommerce app.
The current cms has sessioncart which uses customer's session to fetch the customer detail and store the cart data.
I want to provide the api for add to cart functionality for android and ios app.
Apps and website will be linked so if user logs in through app or website he/she should be able to see the cart item.
What i cannot get is how to maintain or create the customer session for rest api
Am i doing it right?.
Any help or guidance will be really appreciated.
I am developing a online store application, which provides customized products, on CodeIgniter. I was looking for a possible shopping cart application that I can integrate with my app.
I understand that CodeIgniter has its own Cart Class. But it does not provide any credit card management facilities. And I would like a system which takes care of shipping, order management etc.
Are there any options out there?
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but there is GoCart which is built around codeigniter: http://gocartdv.com/
Tell me if this is a) possible and b) allowed.
I'd like to build a checkout page that takes credit cards and processes them inside Facebook, specifically inside a dedicated Facebook app that will be built for this.
Can I just put this in an iFrame with SSL in the application?
Shouldn't be a problem unless you're working with game in app purchase. Then FB requires you to use FB credits. As long as you can offer up the link securely you should be fine.
I'm currently building a simple ecommerce site for a client that will use solely Paypal to take payments. I want to display orders in the CMS I'm building for them, but only transactions that are made on the site I'm building.
I have achieved this so far by using the Paypal IPN to add transactions from the site into a database table (just the transaction id) and then borrowing heavily from the TransactionSearch.php file that Paypal supply with the API.
My concern is that at the moment, I'm fetching every transaction from the account (even ones not attributed to this site) and then filtering them by matching them against an array and only displaying the ones that are stored in the DB. It would be better if I could send the array I have through to Paypal and just receive those transactions - does any body know if that is possible?
The system works as is but I would prefer to make it more efficient if possible.
Thanks
I'd say a foreach with the GetTransactionDetails API should do the trick?

I am creating a website with a google checkout link that lets customers purchase a digital product. This digital product is a credit to their account on the site. Therefore, I need to know how to make the completion of a google checkout order change a field in my PHPMyAdmin database. I would very much appreciate your answers.
phpMyAdmin is merely an administration interface to a database called mySQL.
Consider working through a basic PHP / mySQL tutorial first to get a fundamental understanding how these things work - especially if you're programming things in connection with commercial activity.

You need to implement a web service on your server as described in the document Implementing the Notification API. You can do whatever you want in your web service when you receive a notification, including updating your data base.
