Google Checkout and PHPMyAdmin - php

I am creating a website with a google checkout link that lets customers purchase a digital product. This digital product is a credit to their account on the site. Therefore, I need to know how to make the completion of a google checkout order change a field in my PHPMyAdmin database. I would very much appreciate your answers.

phpMyAdmin is merely an administration interface to a database called mySQL.
Consider working through a basic PHP / mySQL tutorial first to get a fundamental understanding how these things work - especially if you're programming things in connection with commercial activity.

Good tutorial on how to update your Mysql database with a PHP form?

You need to implement a web service on your server as described in the document Implementing the Notification API. You can do whatever you want in your web service when you receive a notification, including updating your data base.

Connecting POS to E-Commerce RESTFUL API

I will have an e-commerce website connecting to my own REST API that will connect to a MySql Database.
I want to be able to connect a POS(Point of Sale) in a physical store to this same REST API and allow for real time syncing e.g. when an product is purchased online, the inventory is updated to reflect the quantity of that product remaining, and this updated inventory of that particular product will also be updated in the POS. I want this same behaviour to be achievable if the product was bought from the physical store using the POS. How do I achieve this?
I have no problem with the e-commerce website part, but I don't know where to begin with the POS part of the physical store. Do I have to create my own POS or can off-the-shelf POS achieve this?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated,
John
Not the platform to ask these kind of questions. But I try to help out anyway (at my own risks).
Most (if not all) POS come with their own ecosystem including the database. What you want is a POS that uses your own database to keep everything in sync between the website and the POS.
Do some research to see if any POS let you connect to your own database. But I doubt they will cause most POS already integrate their own data and features.
Since all you want is an interface. Put in your mind you are building a second website. Just this time it works on the desktop. There are tools that could help you with that such as Electron. With Electron, you use web technologies to build a desktop app. If you want to offer it on tablets however, you could just build a tablet app with React-native, Ionic or NativeScript. Last but not least, there are existing web-based POS already. So you could just build another website to act as POS and make it connect to the same API used by the e-com website. Sorted!

Paypal express checkout - buyer details

so I need to ask a question, I need to setup a simple paypal express checkout system, that one can allow users to change currencies, and two can then update the page with the updated currencies.
Then I need a way for me to get the order information. As I will be selling website templates so I need a way for me to get their email address, so I can then email them with the link to the template file download.
So my question is what data do I get if I set up an express checkout system. And what code do I need, Do i need to create a database to get the returned data back from paypal? Or do I just get an email or can i see that when i log into my paypal account and check orders and see their details that way, but the main important detail i need is their email address?
Can I also say that this is the first time I have looked into express shopping carts. So I am a complete novice in this field, So I will struggle with the coding aspect. But I think it is the route I need to go down.
Also I want to make it all in php as well. But also I don't want to use ready made systems. I just need the back-end code so that I can then just implement it into my current design. Not sure if paypal give you the code when you click the express shopping cart option in All tool section. I did notice though it redirects to a page that lists many partner sites. I couldn't find anywhere for any implementation advice or tips or code.
EDIT: Also I know I will also need to use either IPN or PDT but the documentation I read is highly confusing and just is making me unsure if I can even set a system up. I also read that you should implement both systems, but I also read that that had a risk of doing the payment twice. So yeah i am kinda a bit unsure how to even go about implementing a system I need.
Thanks in advance.

Output JIRA filter to website via REST query?

I'm creating a kind of portal for my team as part of our company's annual Hackathon and wanted to include results for a specific JIRA filter on the front page of said portal. Idea is so that when you log in, you bring up the portal and it'll show you a list of the latest issues say or upcoming changes or RFCs for your attention.
Could I do this via REST where a script automatically grabs the content and then updates a HTML or PHP file with it?
Yes, depends on your JQL I believe you can do it via REST API. Atlassian documentation contains couple of good examples of the REST API and JQL. You can take a look at it here.

Real Time Database on Android with Google Maps

we have a android project that needs the following objectives:
*we also have a web application for this app that needs to communicate with the same database as the android application
what I have done so far:
a view of a map with a pinpoint on my current Location
mysql db containing information (including latitude and longtitude position)
registration and login
Real Time Database Objectives:
state that people are online or offline(updating a database).
Google Map Objectives:
When I press a button, the map will show other users who are online within a given radius so basically I need to view online people who are near me
Send a message to them [2 ways]
2.1 I send them a message by clicking their icon
2.2 I send everyone[online people within the radius] the message
Questions:
I am currently using php mysql for login/register. Can I use this for a real time database or is there any other way?
is Firebase somehow similar to a hosting site?
if there are other needed information needed, pls inform me, I may not have included information that could help with my questions :)
ill update my question too if I have more questions.
thank you.
I think for your requirements its is more appropriate to use Firebase as it fulfills all your expectations and provides additional features.

How To Add "User Account" Functionality To Basic PHP Software?

I hired a programmer to make a basic program in for me that is written in PHP.
I am hosting it on my own web host.
It is basically a web crawler that returns data on certain websites that are entered into the database.
This software was created without any "user account" functionality- it is just a single instance that is not even properly protected by a login/password button.
I want to finish developing this cloud-hosted software and then be able to sell it to people on a monthly subscription. Obviously I will need a way to create an account for every person that signs up- so they can each access their own account of the software with their own database of whatever websites they want to enter into the software(in other words just how every cloud software works).
My question is definitely a newb one, but basically I want to know, what technology is used to do this? What kind of program/service/code is used to add simple "user account functionality to a basic cloud software?
P.S. I would ask the guy who made it but he took my money and ran after making a a piece of junk.
The way that this is done is to modify the PHP to add a login feature. There is unlikely to be an out of the box solution that will work. Rather than having to create a new database every time someone signs up, you would modify the existing database to add a user column to each table, and then update the code to only display the data for the currently logged in user.
Unless you want to spend a few months learning PHP and whatever database you are using, you're going to want to hire another programmer to do this for you. Someone good would charge $200-300 for this. Or you can try taking the lowest bidder for $50 or so, and hope they don't run off too.
