Am a trying to create a PHP (PHrets) script that downloads all real estate listing information from a specific area and saves all of the listings data (CSV file and photos) on my web server.
Note: A single listing may have up to 20 photos.
I am using PHrets to retrieve MLS listing data and it works great for creating a CSV of data. However, I would like to modify this code to loop through each listing's photos and download them onto my web server with the following name convention: MLSID-PHOTOID.
The error below is coming from the GetObject loop at the end of the code:
ERROR Message: HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
Thanks in advance!

I modified your while loop that processes each record to also get the photos for that record. I also tested this on a RETS server.
while ($record = $rets->FetchRow($search)) {
$this_record = array();
foreach ($fields_order as $fo) {
if ($fo == 'L_ListingID') {
$photos = $rets->GetObject("Property", "Photo", $record[$fo], "*", 1);
foreach ($photos as $photo) {
if ($photo['Success'] == true) {
file_put_contents("photos/{$photo['Content-ID']}-{$photo['Object-ID']}.jpg", $photo['Data']);
}
}
}
$this_record[] = $record[$fo];
}
fputcsv($fh, $this_record);
}
One thing I found is you have ListingID on this line:
$photos = $rets->GetObject("Property", "Photo", $record[ListingID], "*", 1);
But then in your search query you refer to ListingID as L_ListingID. Maybe the above line should have L_ListingID.
$search = $rets->SearchQuery("Property", $class, $query, array("Limit" => $limit, "Offset" => $offset, "Format" => "COMPACT", "Select" => "L_ListingID,L_Class,L_Type_,L_Status,L_AskingPrice,L_Keyword2,L_Keyword3,L_Keyword4,L_SquareFeet,L_Remarks,L_Address,L_City,L_State,LO1_OrganizationName,LA1_AgentLicenseID,LA1_UserFirstName,LA1_UserLastName,L_PictureCount", "Count" => 1));
What if the last parameter of GetObject is "0" :
$photos = $rets->GetObject("Property", "Photo", $record[$fo], "*", 1);
in this case "1" is for retreiving the location. some servers this is switched off and return the actual image I believe - that would require a different method.

I'm trying to display an image but I am running into the error of Not allowed to load local resource: file:///C:/xampp/htdocs/public/images/profile/jimmy/status/boned.jpg in the browser console. What I am trying to do is use the base path provided by Zend Framework 2 but I'm retrieving the images in the model so (as far as I know), I can't use $this->basePath() like I would in the view.
This is my json string I am returning but would like to just be able to return /images/profile/jimmy/status/boned.jpg and whatever other images are in there.
I'm getting all the files outside of the directory 'status'. I am trying to get the files inside the status directory. When I did a var_dump this is what I get string(43) "C:\xampp\htdocs/public/images/profile/jimmy" I'm unclear why it is omitting the status directory after '/jimmy'
json string being returned:
{"feed":{"username":"Timmy","status":["this is jimmy, test"],"images":["videos","status","sithtoon.jpg","sith.jpg","edited_photos","diploma.jpg","current","albums","Screenshot_2016-08-09_21_28_13_361272.jpg","Screenshot_2016-08-05_17_55_48_500802.jpg","515gIIJ-Imgur.png",".htaccess"]}}
Here is the relevant PHP code (in the model):
public function listFriendsStatus()
{
$user_id = $this->getUserId()['id'];
// get the friend ids based on user id
// and then compare the friend id to the id in status table
$friend_query = new Select('friends');
$friend_query->columns(array('friend_id'))
->where(array('user_id' => $user_id));
$query = $this->sql->getAdapter()->query(
$this->sql->buildSqlString($friend_query),
Adapter::QUERY_MODE_EXECUTE
);
if ($query->count() > 0) {
$friend_id = array();
foreach ($query as $result) {
$friend_id[] = $result['friend_id'];

$this->sql->buildSqlString($members),
Adapter::QUERY_MODE_EXECUTE
);
if ($image_query->count() > 0) {
foreach ($image_query as $value) {
if (is_dir(getcwd() . '/images/profile/' . $value['username'] . '/status/')) {
$status_dir = pathinfo(getcwd() . '/images/profile/' . $value['username'] . '/status/');
}
}
$images = array();
chdir($status_dir['dirname']);
var_dump($status_dir['dirname']);
// retrieve the image inside the status directory
foreach (array_diff(scandir($status_dir['dirname'], 1), array('.', '..')) as $values) {
$images[] = $values;
}
} else {
throw new FeedException("The user does not exist in the user table.");
}
$status = array();
// get all the statuses
foreach ($status_query as $rows) {
$status[] = $rows['status'];
}
return array('username' => ucfirst($value['username']), 'status' => $status, 'images' => $images); // how to just get the basePath path with zf2
} else {
throw new FeedException("No status was found for your friends.");
}
} else {

controller code:
public function getfriendstatusAction()
{
$layout = $this->layout();
$layout->setTerminal(true);
$view_model = new ViewModel();
$view_model->setTerminal(true);
try {
echo json_encode(array('feed' => $this->getStatusService()->listFriendsStatus()));
} catch (FeedException $e) {
echo json_encode(array('fail' => $e->getMessage()));
}
return $view_model;
}
jquery code:
$.getJSON('/members/feed/get-friend-status', function(data) {
$.each(data, function(i, item) {
$('.w3-container.w3-card-2.w3-white.w3-round.w3-margin').find('h4').html(data[i].username);
$('.w3-container.w3-card-2.w3-white.w3-round.w3-margin').find('p').html(data[i].status);
$('.w3-container.w3-card-2.w3-white.w3-round.w3-margin').find('img').attr('src', data[i].images);
});
}).fail(function(response) {
console.log(response);
});
I've been trying to use other directory functions provided with PHP but if I try anything, I run into the error directory could not be found. Basically what I am trying to do is use the similiar approach of $this->basePath() but in a model.
I hope that is clear enough..
Thanks!
Here is a screenshot of what I'm getting and how I want to get the status directory, not the directory outside of it.
I have an idea.
In your code is:
$status_dir = pathinfo(getcwd() . '/images/profile/' . $value['username'] . '/status/');
// ..............
chdir($status_dir['dirname']);
var_dump($status_dir['dirname']);
Try:
var_dump($status_dir);
I guess 'status' will be in 'basename' and / or in 'filename'
pathinfo gets last segment of argument string path as 'basename'.
Pathinfo only parses string as path and return array info, don't check it for isDir or isFile. Your correct chdir should looks like chdir($status_dir['dirname'] . '/' . $status_dir['basename'] ); if you need use of pathinfo.
In other words: dirname of 'images/profile/jimmy/status' is 'images/profile/jimmy' and its a reason why you don't see status in var_dump($status_dir['dirname']) and why chdir($status_dir['dirname']) not working correctly.
I usually work with web hosting companies but I decided to start learning working with servers to expand my knowledge.
I'll better give a real example to explain my question the best:
I have a web application that gathers data from a slow API that returns JSON data of products.
I have a function running every 1AM running a lot of queries on "id"s in my database.
Crontab:
0 1 * * * cd /var/www/html/tools; php index.php aso Cli_kas kas_alert
So this creates a process for the app (please correct me here if I'm wrong) and each process creates threads, and just to be more accurate, they are multi-threads since they do more than one thing: like pulling data from the DB to get the right variables and string them to the API queries, getting the data from the API, organizing it, searching the relevant data, and then inserting new data to the database.
The main PHP functions:
// MAIN: Cron Job Function
public function kas_alert() {
// 0. Deletes all the saved data from the `data` table 1 month+ ago.
// $this->kas_model->clean_old_rows();
// 1. Get 'prod' table
$data['table'] = $this->kas_model->prod_table();
// 2. Go through each row -
foreach ( $data['table'] as $row ) {
// 2.2. Gets all vars from the first query.
$last_row_query = $this->kas_model->get_last_row_of_tag($row->tag_id);
$last_row = $last_row_query[0];
$l_aaa_id = $last_row->prod_aaa_id;

For #Raptor, this is the function that get's the API data:

All threads are stacked one after an other, and when one thread is done, only then - the second thread can proceed, ect'.
And in technical view on this, all threads wait in the RAM until the one before them is done working "inside" the CPU. (correct me if I'm wrong again :] )
This doesn't even "tickle" the servers RAM or CPU when looking at it in the process manager (I use "htop"). RAM is at 400M/4.25G and CPU at ONLY 0.7%-1.3%.
Making me feel this isn't the best I can get from my current server, and getting slow results from my web app.
How do I get things done in a way that all threads work in parallel, but not to a point that my app crashes due to lacks of CPU or RAM?

How can I get the names of the metrics and elements in order to use them in this script? There is no way. I searched with all the possible tags on google and nothing worked !
I need the metrics and elements for this part of the code :
$data ='
{
"reportDescription":
{
"reportSuiteID":"XXXX",
"dateFrom":"'.$start_date.'",
"dateTo":"'.$end_date.'",
"metrics":[{"id":"visits"},{"id":"instances"},{"id":"pageviews"}],
"elements":[{"id":"lasttouchchannel","top":"50000"}]
}
}';
I cannot find 'date' as an element which is crucial. I cannot find all the other metrics as well. In Google Analytics we had this link :
Google Analytics Query
but in Adobe there is not any. I want something like that :
"metrics":[{"id":"instances"},{"id":"impressions"}],
"elements":[{"id":"date","top":"50000"}]
You would json_decode() as $data contains a JSON string. For example:
$data ='
{
"reportDescription":
{
"reportSuiteID":"XXXX",
"dateFrom":"'.$start_date.'",
"dateTo":"'.$end_date.'",
"metrics":[{"id":"visits"},{"id":"instances"},{"id":"pageviews"}],
"elements":[{"id":"lasttouchchannel","top":"50000"}]
}
}';
$json = json_decode($data, true);
echo $json['reportDescription']['dateFrom'];
print_r($json['reportDescription']['metrics']);
I am struggling to understand how to make use of the paging mechanism with batch requests to Facebook's Graph API.
My issue with the code below is that despite attempting to track an offset for each facebook_id that is in my database, I'm unable to determine when a particular request has come up empty and therefore shouldn't be requested again.
I'm parsing the facebook_id's from the paging array in the responses. At the point when no more posts are available, FB returns an empty data array and therefore I'm unable to recognize which request has no more pages, and thus reduce the subsequent requests. Each time I'm querying FB with $fb_batch_limit urls despite the fact not all requests have returned a paging token from the previous call.
How would a real programmer tackle this problem?

You have this line. It is returning the image URL, not the binary image data.
$photos = $rets->GetObject("Property", "Photo", $record[$fo], "*", 1);
The fifth argument should be a 0.
$photos = $rets->GetObject("Property", "Photo", $record[$fo], "*", 0);
According to the PHRETS documentation, a 1 returns the image URL and a 0 returns the binary image data.
