PHP Application Installer - php

I have a php application, I want to install it on another PC so they can use it but i want an automatic way that will install XAMP & copy my application files to that PC without me doing all these is there any installer I can use?
I need it to install XAMP automatically
Need it to copy files from installer & paste in the xamp folder.
Create a desktop icon so they can launch & start using it.
It will open browser, will run the apache in the background. and execute the php
anything to resolve?

Popular CMSs like Wordpress do installation just by copying the files and launching the SQL scripts for the database - create database and fill test data if needed. Which is fine.
The real question is how do you install XAMPP in the first place. Because for that it's not enough just to copy files. And even if you do manage to install XAMPP, you have to automatically start the Apache and MySQL. Don't say that it's impossible, but I think you should look for an easier way and deal with that another PC owners.

How to get running on a local dev environment from an existing and complex Magento2 project

At work we took back our existing store running on Magento 2 from an external development agency. I need to get the project running in local development (with docker).
I familiarized myself with a vanilla project from the official docs and managed to get it running by downloading the vanilla template with composer, granting the proper permissions on files and folder and running the magento setup:install command.
My question is how do one goes when kick starting from an existing (production running) project?
Do I need to run setup:install again? If I do, why?
What do I need to import from production to ensure any content or configuration created via the admin is also running on my local setup? Should I import the complete Database from production?
I know our setup is using more than just php and mysql, but env.php seems to be listing only db configuration and admin url. Where can I get the complete service configuration informations about what our setup uses?
Anything else I am missing to get started with an existing project for local development?
As someone who is running Magento 2 on a local environment myself, hopefully I can shed some light on this.
If you have a direct copy of the live site, you do not need to run setup:install again.
Ensure you have a copy of the entire Magento 2 site (you can technically ignore the vendor folder, as you can run composer install and it will redownload those files, but that's up to you). Also get a copy of the entire database. Magento 2 is notorious for copying the same data to multiple tables so something could break if you don't have everything.
What do you mean by "service configurations" If you are referring to Magento 2 extensions, that data is saved in the database, not the env.php file. env.php is only for server side configurations, such as the DB information, Caching, and things of that nature. On mine, I use Redis for site Cache, so that would be included in that file as well, as an example.
When you first unpack the site to your local environment, run composer update in the directory. This will ensure you have all the proper files installed. If you are going to run a local dev environment, set the mode to development with the following command: bin/magento deploy:mode:set developer. This will allow you to make changes and to view those changes by just refreshing the page, rather than flushing cache all the time.
All queries are replied correctly by Eric. I am also not sure about "service configurations" you have mentioned here. If this is about third-party extensions/services you can check config.php file for this.

How to setup web application created in PHP (with Xampp)?

I have created an administrative system for libraries which basically lets you register books, users, borrowings and all kind of stuff that happens in a library. To code and test it, I used XAMPP, in my own PC, using Apache PHP and MySQL to structure and develop the application.
It works, and has a very complete and efficient set of functions and utilities, that is why I plan to implement it in my school's library, that for years has been using Microsoft Excel as a tool to organize all the books and students.
The thing is: I don't understand how to setup this app as a local web application. The idea is to install the folders and files in the library computer so it can control the system locally and through a browser (using localhost to access the PHP application).
I know it is possible to simply install XAMPP manually and copy the folder to htdocs and then use it normally, but I want to eliminate the manual part, and have some sort of setup that lets any person install the app without having to understand how Apache or MySQL works.
Does anybody know what could I do? I have though of creating a series of batch files (the library PC uses Windows) and move folders, create shortcuts, etc. using normal cmd commands. It would be a better alternative, but still the user would need to go through XAMPP (or some other service) setup prompts.
Thanks very much
you can create a bash file to automate this process.

How to download and run an existing Zend Site?

I have not every used, or even installed the Zend Framework.
I have inherited a website built in the ZF and only have FTP access to the deployed version that is live.
Is it possible to simply download the files that are live and run then locally within XAMPP, as i have tried this but ther server has lots of short cut director mappings and no ZEND?
I am assuming not, so can i install Zend and then download the site to my local machine for it then to work?
Any assistance on this would be helpful as have no idea about it, whether i need source files or not.
Thanks
Shaun
once you have the project downloaded in xampp. make sure you have composer installed and configured.
delete the vendor folder inside your project then run
composer install
under the root of your application.

Convert Php Project to exe

I have created one project in Php/Mysql .Now i want to create .exe file for this project. So that if anyone runs this exe file automatically mysql/php/apache get installed in other word he don't need to install anything. Is this Possible?
Thanks
You need to learn to use the setup creators.. The WAMP does the same by installing mysql and apache on the target computer. So your installer will be similar to WAMP that will silently install the apache and mysql and copy your files to www directory and create the database using some sql script.

Custom installer to install a PHP web site?

Just a quick one about installing a PHP website, are there any tools out there that would allow me to create an install package to fully install this website on a Windows platform? If possible maybe even take details like company name and database connections which then maybe updates the necessary PHP files?
If the later cannot be done its fine, but a free tool for installation would be great!
Thank you!
Ash.
It's possible with a tool like innosetup.
It let you build setup , in which you can put what ever you want (webpage , other setup ...).
If you want to do something a little bit advanced (installing apache , configuring file ...) you will need to do some code (delphi) , but the documentation is pretty clear about all the possibility.
Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the tool , it's very powerfull. For example you can check if a specific service is running to lauch (or not) a specific part of your setup. (if httpd is running just copy the webpage a skip the apache installation for example).
You can combine innosetup with server2go
Download the package you want as a .ZIP file, extract it, put your website in "htdocs" folder and then create an installer with innosetup.
Edit: You can edit pms_config.ini too with your needs.
