Hi im useing googles api oauth2 for a login system and mostly i've got what i want,,, all except the email, after trying all day i have to ask for help. here is my code
<?php
$client_key = 'xxxxxxxx49-6gplrhtl5xxxxxxx5gerurei0o.apps.googleusercontent.com';
$client_secret = 'WLMQxxxxxxxxxxxxxxofyjv11';
$api_key = '9xxxxxxxx0749';
$scope = 'https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo#email';
if(!isset($_REQUEST['code'])){
echo "no Good";
} else {
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, TRUE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "code=".$_REQUEST['code']."&client_id=".$client_key."&client_secret=".$client_secret."&redirect_uri=https://localhost/admin/index.php&grant_type=authorization_code");
$data = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close();
$data = json_decode($data);
//var_dump($data);
$access_token = $data->access_token;
echo $access_token;
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "https://www.googleapis.com/plus/v1/people/me?access_token=".$access_token);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE);
$data = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close();
$data = json_decode($data);
echo $data->displayName;
//HERE IS WHERE IM HAVING DRAMA
echo $data->emails->values
echo "<img src=\"".$data->image->url."\"><br>";
echo '<pre>';
var_dump($data);
echo '</pre><br>';
}
?>
I must be close but .. im stumped
I also tried adding this
$scope = array('https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email','https://www.googleapis.com/plus/v1/people/me','https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile');
But i had no luck what so ever
Your scope string is wrong there at the top. The easiest one to use is just... "email" ! (as in the word, no quotes).
Make sure all your scopes are valid before signing people in - it looks like you want to use scopes email and profile. These shortened version replace https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email. The longer scopes will still work, but the others you have aren't looked at scopes at all - no scopes have # in them, and all URL form scopes are under googleapis.com/auth.
One other problem - the email will be in an emails array - so it will be $data->emails[0]->value you are looking for (and its worth checking that the type field is "account" too, in case more than one is returned).
You can try it on the API explorer: https://developers.google.com/+/api/latest/people/get - try selecting the Oauth 2.0 toggle, remove all scopes in there and put email and profile as two custom scopes.

I am working with dr chrono API and am trying to initialized the First step which is authorisation
The API documentation is here.
Here is an Authorisation sample:
https://drchrono.com/o/authorize/?redirect_uri=REDIRECT_URI_ENCODED&response_type=code&client_id=CLIENT_ID_ENCODED&scope=SCOPES_ENCODED
Here is what I have tried:
1.) I have tried the first code below
<?php
echo "<a href='https://drchrono.com/o/authorize/?redirect_uri=https://example_site.com/return_page.php&response_type=code&client_id=myclient-id-goeshere&scope=BASE_SCOPE:[read|write]'>Authorize</a>";
?>
but when the page redirects it displays error of Invalid_scope. Below is the error link returned.
https://example_site.com/return_page.php?error=invalid_scope
2.) Using Curl
$ci = 'my-client-id-goes-here';
$ci_encode = urlencode($ci);
$uri = 'https://example_site.com/return_page.php';
$uri_encode = $uri;
$url = "https://drchrono.com/o/authorize/";
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, http_build_query([
'response_type'=>'code',
'client_id'=>$ci_encode,
'redirect_uri'=>$uri_encode,
'scope'=>'BASE_SCOPE:[read|write]',
]));
$response = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
print_r($response);
Using curl code above does even redirect me at all.
I think the major problem is the scope not properly set. How can I solve this issue?
Update
Code section for curl:
$ci = 'my-client-id';
$ci_encode = urlencode($ci);
$uri = 'https://example_site.com/return_page.php';
$uri_encode = $uri;
$url = "https://drchrono.com/o/authorize/?";
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, http_build_query([
'response_type'=>'code',
'client_id'=>$ci,
'redirect_uri'=>$uri,
'scope'=>'patients:summary:read patients:summary:write calendar:read calendar:write clinical:read clinical:write'
]));
$response = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
print_r($response);
Instead of BASE_SCOPE:[read|write] I would use patients:summary:read patients:summary:write calendar:read calendar:write clinical:read clinical:write
The docs say that you can choose among user, calendar, patients, patients:summary, billing, clinical and labs and compose a scope out of these values.
I am trying to get additional parameters from Emma's API using php. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. I know that my problem is terminology and thnk I am struggling with the basics and just need to "get over the hump."
I have been able to successfully test getting the basic fields that Emma provides by using get curl https://api.e2ma.net/account_id/mailings and --header 'Authorization: Basic {{public_api_key}}:{{private_api_key}}'
My problem is that according to their documentation (url below), I should be able to include extra parameters (I need to get the with_html_body parameter).
http://api.myemma.com/api/external/mailings.html
The code below gives me the following error:
Error getting member: {"error": "Unable to parse JSON request"}
I know the $data array is the problem.
Any idea if this is my only problem?
I figure I need to pull in the with_html_body field as an array and then CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS the variable ($data).
Amy I way off base?
Thanks in advance for any help pointing me in the right direction.
<?php
// Authentication Variables
$account_id = "1111111";
$public_api_key = "99999999";
$private_api_key = "99898989";
// Set URL
$url = "https://api.e2ma.net/" . $account_id . "/mailings";
// Open connection
$ch = curl_init();
$data = array('with_html_body' => 'true');
// Make the curl call
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERPWD, $public_api_key . ":" . $private_api_key);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-type: application/json'));
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false);
$head = curl_exec($ch);
$http_code = curl_getinfo($ch, CURLINFO_HTTP_CODE);
//curl_close($ch);
// check for errors
if($http_code > 200) {
print "Error getting member:\r\n";
print_r($head);
} else {
/*
print "Member information:\r\n";
print_r($head);
*/
$decoded = json_decode($head, true);
echo "<pre>";
print_r($head);
echo "</pre>";
/*
*/
}
curl_close($ch);
?>
Typical me, I over-complicated the issue!
All I needed to do was adjust the $url to below.
$url = "https://api.e2ma.net/" . $account_id . "/mailings?with_html_body=true";
Yes, I feel like an idiot!
But making progress.
Now to put this code in a better form to use on a project.
I am new at programming Slash commands in Slack. For one of my commands, I have a username and need to retrieve the user icon URL. I am using PHP to code them.
I was planning on using users.profile.get, since the tutorial here shows that one of the fields returned is the user icon URL.
However, I am trying to find examples on how to make a call to this method and have not found any. Could anybody give me a quick example of the call, including how to send the parameters?
This is how far I got:
$slack_profile_url = "https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get";
$fields = urlencode($data);
$slack_call = curl_init($slack_profile_url);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $fields);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_CRLF, true);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
curl_setopt($slack_call, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array(
"Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded",
"Content-Length: " . strlen($fields))
);
$profile = curl_exec($slack_call);
curl_close($slack_call);
I basically have $token and $user_name and need to get the profile picture URL. How do I format $token and $username as $data? Is the call correct?
If anybody recommends doing this a different way, I would appreciate any advice as well.
Thank you so much!
To get data into the right format to post to Slack is pretty straight forward. There's two options (POST body or application/x-www-form-urlencoded).
The query string for application/x-www-form-urlencoded is formatted like a get URL string.
https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get?token={token}&user={user}
// Optionally you can add pretty=1 to make it more readable
https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get?token={token}&user={user}&pretty=1
Just request that URL and you will retrieve the data.
The POST body format will use a similar code to what you have above.
$loc = "https://slack.com/api/users.profile.get";
$POST['token'] = "{token}";
$POST['user'] = "{user}";
$ch = curl_init($loc);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, "POST");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $POST);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$result = curl_exec($ch);
if ($error = curl_errno($ch)) { echo $error; }
//close connection
curl_close($ch);
echo $result;
I've been working on a script that can be used for an internal wiki, that will remove the properties for a user who is inactive. I believe I'm almost there but having a problem with the api.
I think I need to use urlencode on the $delete path BUT only for the # in the email address and # in the property. I know how to use urlencode for the whole thing but not on just that. The way it works, is it loops through to get the properties and most of them include # in the name. Anyone who can help modify so that this works would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the script:
<?php
$user_id="john_smith#ourwiki.com";
$url=('http://admin:12345#192.168.245.133/#api/deki/users/=john_smith#ourwiki.com/properties');
$xmlString=file_get_contents($url);
$delete = "http://admin:12345#192.168.245.133/#api/deki/DELETE:users/$user_id/properties/%s";
$xml = new SimpleXMLElement($xmlString);
function curl_fetch($url,$username,$password,$method='DELETE')
{
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, $method);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, TRUE); // returns output as a string instead of echoing it
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_USERPWD,"$username:$password"); // if your server requires basic auth do this
return curl_exec($ch);
}
foreach($xml->property as $property) {
$name = $property['name']; // the name is stored in the attribute
curl_fetch(sprintf($delete, $name),'admin','12345');
}
?>
Like this?
$delete = "http://admin:12345#192.168.245.133/#api/deki/DELETE:users/".urlencode($user_id)."/properties/%s";
always: https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud
i got wordpress openid ok. so i think is is just discovery phase got some probelms..
<?php $ch = curl_init();
$url = 'https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id';
$url = $url.'?';
$url = $url.'openid.mode=checkid_setup';
$url = $url.'&openid.ns=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0';
$url = $url.'&openid.claimed_id=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select';
$url = $url.'&openid.identity=http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select';
$url = $url.'&openid.return_to='.site_url().'/user/openid/login_callback';
$url = $url.'&openid.realm=http://www.example.com/';
// set url
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);
//return the transfer as a string
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 2);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER,array("Accept: */*"));
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE);
// $output contains the output string
$xdr = curl_exec($ch);
if (!$xdr) {
die(curl_error($ch));
}
// close curl resource to free up system resources
curl_close($ch);
$xml = new SimpleXMLElement($xdr);
$url = $xml->XRD->Service->URI;
$request = $connection->begin($url);
$request always null...
Take a look at https://blog.stackoverflow.com/2009/11/google-offers-named-openids/ where Jeff explains this behavior and what the user can do about it:
Well, the good news is, now you can! Google just gave us a fantastic Thanksgiving Day present in the form of Google Profiles supporting OpenID. And with a Google Profile, you get to pick a named URL of your choice!
Your question has the right endpoint URL (the one ending in /ud), but your example code is sending the request to the identifier URL (/id), not the endpoint URL.
My above code do return https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud in $url, which is correct actually
the problem is, you do not need to use openid php lib, just redirect the user to https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud with query string like:
https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud?openid.mode=checkid_setup&......
