the theme is unable to upload featured image in wordpress? - php

recently I changed a theme that originally it was able to upload featured images, but this changed theme of mine! is unable of doing that.
I've tried replacing all the old files from old theme that I taught that I might have changed them, (one by one, and testing...) but I have no results. It's so frustrating please I put so much time on it, I just wanna know that I should focus on which files, I mean which files could have an effect on this problem???
I GET THIS ERROR ON UPLOADING: "An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later."
PS. I read this: wordpress featured image uploader not working
and it helped, but it's not an ultimate solution, I need this to be fixed.
REALLY Appreciate a HELP.
PSS. (I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THIS IS JUST A THEME PROBLEM)

I know this an old post but I was battling with this for some time and could not find a solution. I finally figured out my problem. For some reason after I updated the SIDEKICK plugin it started interfering with that function. As soon as I deleted SIDEKICK it worked. Not only that all the images I had tried to upload in my media center suddenly showed up. Hope this helps someone.

If it's a problem with uploading it either has something to do with your server or media settings? Did you change the location for media files.
Or it has something to do with the rights on your server. Maybe the folder where you are trying to upload to doesn't have the proper read/write permissions?
Hope this helps

All Media Uploads broken after database prefix change

I've recently changed my wordpress database prefix from wp_ to something else.
After doing so, none of my images are showing on the site.
When i go to Media within wp-admin, image thumbnails are all greyed out.
I've changed upload folder permissions and I've tried regenerating thumbnails but it's as if wordpress no longer knows the route to my uploads folder.
Has anyone come across this issue before?
Any help is much appreciated.

Wordpress CSS Lost After Migration

I am really new to Wordpress and I haven't use it before. So I have source code of Wordpress which is already installed somewhere on says www.theshop.com. I took out the source code and upload it into another server xx.xx.xx.xx/theshop. I have also set up the MySQL and the it's database is already there.
When I go to xx.xx.xx.xx/theshop in the browser, the page is successfully displayed, however the CSS is missing. The menu link also seems to hold the previous domain still like theshop.com/theshop/?pageid=1. I have changed the DB config in wp-config.php however I could not find how to solve this absolute path or domain issue maybe.
Sorry if I miss anything but please let me know if any other information required. Again this is my first involvement in Wordpress. There is no cPanel or any automated installer for Wordpress on my server. Plus the browser says my Wordpress is already installed. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

My magento product pictures has gone missing by themselves

I'm having a problem with my magento system.
For some reason some of the products pictures disappeared by themselves.
I noticed it today as i was surfing my site. all i know of the issue is that today earlier the pictures were there and now they're gone.. i did check my ftp to see if the pictures are still there and they are..
anyone suffered from this problem or knows what might be the problem?
Have you checked out your permissions? Does folder media have the right ones?

Cannot overwrite Wordpress file via FTP

I'm currently working on a wordpress website, of which I'm trying to overwrite content-extensions.php with a new version. On uploading this it appears to work, the file transfer is successful. However, there is no change in the browser even after refreshing and clearing the cache. I've also ensured that there are no plugin's caching within wordpress, and file permissions are what they should be within FileZilla.
Here's the odd bit.
If I go into theme editor, and locate content-extensions.php I can see the changes that I've made in the source code. For whatever reason they're just not appearing in the browser.
I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction for this one, as I haven't a pickle.
Many thanks.
Are you working with an extension or with a theme based function?
If it's an extension, remember to activate it, i often forget that, i upload code, see it in the extension manager but forget to activate it.
If it's in the theme, are you sure you are using the right theme and not the basic one?
I know this doesn't shed any light on why it's actually happening but I've had that before and just deleted the file and uploaded the new one rather than trying to overwrite it.
