Installing error Datastax-PHP driver on windows - php

I'm trying to run the vc_build.bat file.
But I always get the following:

If I look in that file then I find the following error:

I just clone the https://github.com/datastax/php-driver at my D:somefolder on windows 10 pc. After that it's working fine for me.

cannot run 'symfony' command on windows

I came from frontend stack so I can misanderstand something when I'm learning symfony3.
I downloaded Symfony according to documentation with:
php -r "readfile('https://symfony.com/installer');" > symfony
To make php command available i added some values to the enviroment PATH variable (according to this tutorial: https://seiler.it/installing-symfony-framework-into-xampp-for-windows/ - step 2.3) like this:
c:\xampp\mysql\bin;c:\xampp\php;c:\xampp\php\PEAR;C:\xampp\php\symfony
As you see I'm using xampp for PHP development. I added that last, because i copied that downloaded symfony file to c:\xampp\php\symfony directory.
OK, now if i want to use symfony command, like
symfony new project
I need to go to directory where there is that symfony file and add 'php' before, like
php symfony new project
Because simple 'symfony new project' doesn't work (error msg tells about that command isn't known by Windows). How can i fix it?
In frontend there is something like npm (node package manager) with which you can install library/tool locally in directory or globally (to run it in terminal from any place on the computer). Is there is any equivalent in PHP development? I tried to install this by pear (from mentioned tutorial in step 7), but it installed me symfony 1.x version (and error of running that command was that there is no task like 'new') and i want to learn 3, not 1.
I tried to get composer, but i don't see where can i install there symfony globally.
So, how to run symfony globally? What am I missing?
From this doc:
In Windows, move the symfony file to a directory that's included in the PATH environment variable to create the global command or move it to any other directory convenient for you
idea
Install and use Git Bash. Gives you more futures then the windows CLI.
Performance
To run a ten times more fast environment for Symfony i prefer a Linux OS.

PHP Composer does not clone symfony/assetic-bundle properly

I am trying to install Symfony on CentOS Linux wih PHP 5.6 and cPanel installed.
When I run composer require symfony/assetic-bundle , once adding bundle to the AppKernelphp, symfony (app/console too) stops working and keeps logging this error:
[10-Jun-2016 22:00:57 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class 'Symfony\Bundle\AsseticBundle\AsseticBundle' not found in /home/avid24/public_html/app/AppKernel.php on line 19
After checking the vendor directory, turns out that composer has downloaded a single compressed file with a random name, I could extract it with unzip. but problem still exists!
This environment works properly on windows and I could easily update symfony and its components using composer.
Any help? Anyone with the same experience ?
Well, I eventually figured out the problem!
I enabled suhosin extension which prevents the composer and other similar command prompt php scripts from a proper execution.
As a temporary solution I copied php.ini and disabled unnecessary extensions and put it next to my project and call composer this way
$php -c ../composer-php.ini ~/composer ......
I'll create a script to make the life easier
I didn't find any resource which describes coexistence of composer and suhosin extension, so I'm not sure if this is the ultimate solution but the root cause is identified.
If anybody makes workaround this subject I'd be more than happy to know about it.

installing cakephp 3 manually, without composer

I need to install CakePHP 3 in an old-fashioned upload-unzip-run way.
The archive I've downloaded from cakephp/cakephp/tags does not contain the default folders like webroot, Model etc., which means it's not complete.
The official documentation does not cover this. Here's a relevant Github issue I found, but the person ends up still using Composer.
There's also cakephp/app and it seems to include those missing files, but it's not mentioned in cakephp/cakephp's composer.json, and even if I download it I've no idea how to merge the packages.
Packaged app (cakephp/app) releases that include all dependencies (framework (cakephp/cakephp), standard CakePHP plugins (cakephp/debugkit, cakephp/bake, etc), required third party libraries) can be found on GitHub.
https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases
It's the download with the small package symbol, named like cake-3-x-x.zip.
However, it isn't a good idea to ditch the dependency manager, as keeping the code base and the autoloader up to date will be rather tedious, and, no offense, I have my doubts that you'll be able to handle this properly if you don't even know how to stitch the app and cake packages together.
You can install CakePhp 3 without Composer.
You need minimum requirements to install CakePhp 3 and CakePhp 3 boilerplate ( fresh copy of Cakephp 3 ).
You can download CakePhp 3 boilerplate from github.
Requirements
Server
HTTP Server. For example: Apache. Having mod_rewrite is preferred, but by no means required.
PHP 5.4.16 or greater.
mbstring extension
intl extension
Database :
MySQL (5.1.10 or greater)
PostgreSQL
Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or higher)
SQLite 3
All built-in drivers require PDO. You should make sure you have the correct PDO extensions installed.
CakePhp 3 Boilerplate:
Repository Home
https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases
CakePhp 3.1.4
https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases/download/3.1.4/cakephp-3-1-4.zip
CakePhp 3.0.15
https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases/download/3.0.15/cakephp-3-0-15.zip
Download one repository and unzip where you wanted to install it.
You may get one error like ( you may not get error if you are lucky!)
Fatal Error
Cake\Error\FatalErrorException
Error: Class 'Cake\Mailer\Email' not found
File D:\xampp\htdocs\practice\cakephp\cakephp-3-1-4\config\bootstrap.php
Line: 138
Then you have to comment two line in config/bootstrap.php
//Email::configTransport(Configure::consume('EmailTransport'));
//Email::config(Configure::consume('Email'));
And finally you got CakePhp 3 installed.
[I am also new in CakePhp 3.So Please inform me if there are any wrong in my given process.]
Thanks
Use Composer.
Install Composer locally, follow the Cake installation instructions, then upload the created folders to the target webhost.
Easy, For CakePHP 3.x you can just download the release you want from here
https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases (eg. https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/releases/tag/3.3.16).
For a complete installation select the first download link (.zip)
the other links are just for the src
Just run this command to get a clone of CakePHP 3.10.0
git clone -b 3.x git://github.com/cakephp/cakephp.git
Try simple steps
1. Download XAMPP Server.
2. Install XAMPP server.
3. Go to ..\xampp\php\php.ini and open.
4. Add this line (extension=php_intl.dll) or if exist uncomment.
5. Download Composer setup from https://github.com/composer/windows-setup/releases/
6. Install composer and give php.exe file in path
7. Open cmd and check now php version using command php -v. if its showing php version its means its working.
8. Now open cmd and cd on xampp\htdocs folder & run command composer create-project --prefer-dist cakephp/app app_name
9. Finished folder created in htdocs.

My Laravel installation error on localhost

I am new to Laravel, I have installed the Laravel on my localhost using
WAMP server but I am getting an error after all steps.
The errors are:
( ! ) Warning: require(C:\wamp\www\laravel/../bootstrap/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp\www\laravel\index.php on line 21
( ! ) Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'C:\wamp\www\laravel/../bootstrap/autoload.php' (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in C:\wamp\www\laravel\index.php on line 21
I have used below link for Laravel installation
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-Laravel-Framework-in-Windows
I have tried to debug the issue but haven't found success in the installation.
Please let me know what is missing in installation.
You need to install Composer, open up the command prompt and cd to your directory (or hold Shift while right-clicking on your directory and clicking Open command window here) and there run composer install.
You can simplify the Laravel installation with Composers create-project command.
composer create-project laravel/laravel path
Laravel dependencies are not installed yet. That is why it is giving you this error.
https://getcomposer.org/download/
Go to this link and download composer if you haven't already.
Move the composer file to /usr/bin and rename it to just composer.
Go into the root directory of your laravel application. And run:
composer update
This will install and update all required dependencies.
In case you are on windows, which is less likely, but if you are, just download and install composer via the installer and issue the same command in you project's root directory.
Composer is PHP's dependency manager.
In the root directory of your laravel installation you will find a composer.json file. It contains the list of all your project's dependencies. If you ever need to install a package in your project, it becomes very easy. You just have to edit the composer.json file and let it know which package you need. Issuing composer update will install new package listings and update all existing ones.
just to be clear I'm not big fan of wamp.
I've just took quick look at the
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-Laravel-Framework-in-Windows
and I suppose laravel framework is not going to work best with point 11 to 14 modifications.
Baseline for laravel to work is you need to http serve /public folder in a properly configured environment (after composer install and create-project as described earlier).
If you want to take full advantage of laravel you need to often cli `php or composer (at least)` efficiently.
While using laravel I suggest installing PHP and MYSQL yourself from scratch (it really takes few minutes) and using convenient IDE (like PHPSTORM for example).
Nowadays PHP has builtin http server, so you don't need any http server in your dev environment.
So in Windows:
Install PHP and enable required libraries in php.ini
Install and configure local mysql server (easiest way installing via MySQL installer)
Start development server by invoking php.exe -S localhost:80 -t "absolute-path-to-your-laravel-installation\public" like for example C:\htdocs\laravel\public via commandLine
Enter url in your favorite browser http://localhost
Hope that will help to get you started.

PHPUnit and Ubuntu - Issues with include path after Installation with PEAR

I need to install PHPUnit for a web dev project on my Ubuntu box, but am having serious issues. Using suggestions from various sources, I've installed via pear and tried the following:
Currently, phpunit --version returns
PHPUnit 3.7.20 by Sebastian Bergman
when in /usr/share but throws errors everywhere else.
My include path is
include_path = ".:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/php/PEAR:/usr/share/php/File/Iterator"
I've tried different variations ranging from simple /usr/share/php to the full string above. PEAR is in all caps since that is the folder it is in.
Executing with a test case results in
PHP Warning: require_once(File/Iterator/Autoload.php): failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /usr/share/php/PHPUnit/Autoload.php on line 64
PHP Stack trace:
PHP 1. {main}() /usr/bin/phpunit:0
PHP 2. require() /usr/bin/phpunit:43
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required
'File/Iterator/Autoload.php'(include_path='/usr/share/php/libzend-framework-php')
in /usr/share/php/PHPUnit/Autoload.php on line 64
pear list -c phpunit returns
Installed packages, channel pear.phpunit.de:
============================================
Package Version State
File_Iterator 1.3.3 stable
PHPUnit 3.7.20 stable
PHPUnit_MockObject 1.2.3 stable
PHP_CodeCoverage 1.2.10 stable
PHP_Invoker 1.1.2 stable
PHP_Timer 1.0.3 stable
PHP_TokenStream 1.1.5 stable
Text_Template 1.1.2 stable
I've confirmed that Autoload.php exist at both php/PHPUnit/ and php/File/Iterator/
My loaded php.ini file is at `/etc/php5/cli.php.ini1 as verified by
php --info | grep "onfiguration"
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Search for a file on your computer that is called Autoload.php and is in a file structure like this:
../File/Iterator/Autoload.php
Now open the file that throws the error (/usr/share/php/PHPUnit/Autoload.php in your case) and include a set_include_path statement that points to the absolute path of that file.
You seem to have a very similar problem to what I experienced on Mac OSX. For more information look at this very similar question. If all of this doesn't help, try to install with Composer, which I have heard doesn't have this issue.
For recent projects, I'm using Composer to install PHPUnit and the other related tools. It's quite easy:
## ... rest of the composer.json file
# "php -f composer.phar update --dev" to install
"require-dev": {
"phpunit/phpunit": "3.7.*"
},
I also then have a shell script to actually run the PHPUnit command-line tool from the ./vendor/bin/ directory where a link to the locally installed script is installed.
Like Alister's answer, relying on Composer,
but I prefer to deploy the updated PHPUnit globally across my projects with:
composer.phar global require "phpunit/phpunit=dev-master"
That way, when I am at the root dir of my Symfony project, I can just run
~/.composer/vendor/bin/phpunit -c app/ -v --filter testFireNotifications |tee phpunit.log
That last bit with --filter was to run something selectively (actually, more for fast web automation via crontab, than testing...)
Even on a current Ubuntu 14.04.2 server, the repo is stuck with an outdated PHPUnit 3.7.28 "stable", so I sidestep the OS-provided one with this custom install that won't conflict (I haven't put ~/.composer/vendor/bin in my PATH).
