well here is my problem: I created a wordpress multisite and it works in localhost, where I tried to migrate it to a remote server and I am having a strange problem.
First, I have installed a new wordpress site and I have activated the multisite option, modifying the .htaccess and wp-config.php files, after that I have copied all files of the site except wp-config.php and .htaccess, and finally I changed all referenced urls and domains on the database (Of course, imported before).
Well the url is http://sanmigueladoratrices.com/ I can see the principal site that is the same of http://sanmigueladoratrices.com/inicio but I cant see the other two themes, /matriculados and /nomatriculados else I cannot see the admin site, /wp-admin, I dont know why and I need help.

Well, problem solved. No one helped me but maybe that post can help someone.
The problem was that mod_rewrite was failing so you have to activate it correctly.

I am trying to move an existing site that works fine on the old server to a new server. On the new server the homepage is just showing blank page. however when i navigate to "wp-admin" or other pages like "about-us" shoiws up just fine and i am also able to login in my wp-admin. It's just the homepage that is blank..
I have tried to enable debug and also tried looking into wp_content/debug.php and it's empty:

Next thing i tried is the permalink settings -> permalink -> "save" it also didn't work.
I have also tried by switching php version php7.3 same as the old server, didn't help
then finally i tried removing the plugins one by one and figured after removing this particular elementor plugin (https://www.eletemplator.com/ele-custom-skin/) the home page was loading fine. However this plugin is very important as most of the pages are using templates from this plugin to display the content.
Now that I know this plugin is causing the issue on the new server could it be because of the loading time? with this plugin on the old server everything works fine.

For resolving this issue you can choose following steps:
1: First you try to disabling all the plugins of yours and then see if the front end comes back. If you can’t do it from the backend due to any reason, you can as well rename /plugins/ folder to /plugins-broken/ or similar, using FTP access.
2: If it does, then start enabling plugins one by one until the issue reappears. Then you’ll know what caused it.
After trying all the solutions, finally came to understanding that it was a memory limit issue on the httpd.conf apache server setting. After increasing the limit for RLimitMEM = 204535125 it was working!

I recently migrated a site from a live server to my localhost.
Whenever I went to open the site, instead of loading like all other sites in my htdocs directory, it tried to download the site files.
Clearly, my stack is not running correctly.
So I did a migration from live to local with a Wordpress plugin.
This time it worked fine. Until I clicked on the permalinks tab from within the Wordpress dashboard.
Same problem happened again.
Looks like a permalink issue but Google is turning up nothing (perhaps I am searching for the wrong thing)
Really would appreciate some advice or links for where to look.

You should go to Permalink Settings page in your localhost WordPress dashboard and click save changes to update local permalink settings.
I don't know which WP plugin you've used to copy your website to localhost, but from my experience WordPress Duplicator takes care of the permalinks for you.
I have WordPress site and it is updated new version. I don't know how. Few plugins also got updated. Now sites page is not loading. Server is working fine but pages are loading.
I don't have back up. How should I get back the things.
This is a good time to learn your lesson about backups. Always have a backup.
It's most likely that one plugin is breaking your site. You can copy the /wp-content folder of your site to your computer using FTP and then (after copying it locally!), one by one, delete the plugin folders in wp-content/plugins themselves on your site over FTP. After deleting each plugin folder, check if your site is back up.
If you find the offending plugin, try reinstalling it through the WordPress admin panel. Because you deleted the plugin folder and not the database entries, the settings should still be there, but your local copy is in case of further emergency anyway.
You can try renaming your plugin folders via FTP connection. Do that one-by-one and reload the site each time. They will be deactivated after you do this, and you will find the plugin which is causing the problem.
Can you replace the /wp-admin directory of a Wordpress installation with another one without issues?
This question is very open, but my current context is that I'm transferring a Wordpress site from one server to another. I've just come to download the site via FTP, and the /wp-admin folder has disappeared. (I probably did something wrong, but I did not knowingly delete the folder). I have a development version of the site, and am wondering if it will cause problems to just use the /wp-admin from that.
Has anyone come up against a similar thing before, and does anybody know if this folder is generic?
You need to replace the folder with one of the same version. See http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Versions
There are, of course, updates and bug fixes along the way in many, but not all, versions, and a copy of wp-admin of a version not the same as the rest of the install will break things.
Check the file version.php in wp-includes to find the version of your WordPress install. ( version.php is not in wp-admin). And file modification dates are not a reliable way to check versions.)

As long as no modifications to the core of WordPress have been done, you should be fine, but make sure that the wp-admin folder you're uploading belongs to the same WordPress version your website is running. You should face no issues at all.
Firstly, if you did have a Dreamweaver then try to search a word 'wp-admin' in Entire Website Folder in the search's Dreamweaver option.
Secondly, change all text that contain a word 'wp-admin'.
Third, change the folder's name.
Then test your wordpress, if there are errors so try to solve it or post a comment.
I have a fresh wordpress 4.0 install on my server for a specific domain and when I make changes to any of the theme files it won't show up in the browser for a few reloads. I just add "asdf" to the theme file to test changes. I can refresh 20 times but no changes show up until like 20 seconds later.
What I have tried:
Turned off firefox's cache.
Turned off wordpress cache.
Tested other domains on my server with wordpress and they work properly.
Installed wordpress with "server installer apps"(3 times) and also with manual installation.
I refresh with ctrl+f5
Tried with firefox and with chrome, same results.
Its a fresh install so no plugins, no settings changes. There is no caching and my other domains work properly. No errors show up in the console.
I have no idea what the problem could be. My server company, mediatemple, said it could be my ISP, but other domains on my site work properly from the same computer/network. For some reason the problem is specific to this domain and the problem persists through all the themes.
I don't know what to do next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)
Update:
Have tried manual install of wordpress 3.9 and that does nothing.
I added a new folder to the root and in that folder I added a file called index.html to test if this file, which is unaffected by wordpress, would show instant changes and IT DOES. So the problem seems to be based within wordpress and specific to this domain.
I spoke to Mediatemple for the 3rd time now and this guy was much more helpful and he actually solved the problem.
When you add a domain to mediatemple it automatically sets the PHP version to "FastCGI", which normally is fine, but it caused problems specifically on this one domain's wordpress install for unknown reasons. So he switched the PHP version to "CGI (Stable)" and that fixed every problem.
I hope this will be helpful to someone in the future. :]
