all. I am trying to update WordPress to the latest version(4.9.1). The installation of new version of WordPress seems to be updated successfully as show in the picture. Except, my site was redirected to previous version's (4.9) about page after installation, and from the dashboard my site still shows the information of 'update available'. I double checked the version.php under wp-include. It shows the latest version number(4.9.1). I am wondering why my site doesn't detect the upgrade of wordpress? Appreciate if any one can advise the problem. Thank you.
Step 1: click the 'update now' to update WP.
Step 2: Update information page. It shows successful installation.
Step 3: Automatically redirect to version about page.
Step 4: Dashboard still showing old version number and prompt new version available.
Step 5: check version.php.
To whom it may concern. It was the cache issue on my server. After flushing the cache, it works.
Thanks.

In all WP version...whenever new version release then you will get a notification to upgrade your existing WP. But due to some reason I am not getting this option. Last time I upgraded WP setup manually. But this time I want one click upgrade option so that I can upgrade easily.
Have you ensured in the wp-config.php file that the following line is in it?
define('WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', true);
Here is an article that might help.

Updating joomla 1.7 to 2.5.X but when I try to find the updated version via backend admin panel. I don't see any updates found.
I have checked a number of websites and most of them update joomla via backend extension manager using find updates and install feature but I do not see any update
First of all I would suggest you to update to Joomla 3 since Joomla! 2.5 has reached the End of Support.
However, check this out. It's a step by step on how to update to joomla 2.5. I am sure there hundreds of tutorials available if you google it. :)
Of course, before doing anything, BACKUP your installation!
I have a site with magento version 1.8.1.0. For upgrading, I logged into magento connect and selected Version 1.9.2.2 for Mage_All_Latest and clicked "Commit Changes" button. After some time, the process of upgrading stopped, showing an error of file permission. When I clicked the refresh button, the website was neither going to the magento connect page, nor to the home page. Each request was being redirected to this url: http://siteurl/downloader
I replaced the app folder and some other files with the backups I had. The site was then loading. When I logged into magento connect, It was showing version 1.9.2.2. But the admin footer is still showing 1.8.1.0. I checked the site with http://magereport.com/ but it was showing some security risks which are solved in version 1.9.2.2. So the update was not completely done. I want to update the site again but I find no way to do this. I tried with reinstalling "Mage_All_latest" but it does nothing. Is there a way to do this?
Follow the upgrade guide from Magento: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/m1x/install/installing_upgrade_details.html or copy the latest version over your current installation (with the disadvantage that removed files in comparison with your version will not be removed).
I want to upgrade my joomla 1.5.22 website to latest version of joomla(3.3.6). Please suggest best way's to do this(suggest any free extensions).
Thanks in advance.
Firstly, you should alsy migrate from the latest version of your built, so step 1 is updating to Joomla 1.5.26. You can download the update package from here. Once downloaded, upload the package to the root of your Joomla installation via FTP and extract.
Step 2 is migrating for Joomla 2.5. For this, you can use an extension called JUpgrade. Simply download, install it on your Joomla site and run the migration. Everything will be done automatically for you.
Step 3 is now extremely easy. From now on, you can upgrade to a newer Joomla version using the 1 click update feature built into the Joomla backend. Simply go to:
Components (top menu) >> Joomla! Update.
You may need to click on the Options button and select "Short Term Support" to upgrade from Joomla 2.5.x to Joomla 3.x.
Now that you are running Joomla 3.x, please ensure that you are always up to date. If you see an update notification in the backend, do not update it straight away. Give it 1 or 2 days before updating as the Joomla PLT have been known to make mistake in some updates which break certain features.
Hope this helps
BuddyPress version: 1.9.2
Wordpress version: 3.8.1
I have a very angry client at the moment.
The buddy press installation has been functioning flawlessly for a couple of weeks until the last few days.
When creating a new group, at the second step (Settings) the usual options of “Public/Private” etc do not show. When clicking “Next Step” button you get the WordPress error page of “Are you sure you want to do this?”
Have tried disabling all plugins and still not working so I’ve ruled out a plugin issue.
UPDATE:
Going to try move to a fresh server and reinstall piece by piece. Will report back.
I moved the installation to a fresh server and all is good now. I suspect it was something to do with the Varnish config I was running.
