Change Facebook profile image via API - php

Is it possible to change someone's profile picture via the Facebook API?

The Graph API discusses POSTing a picture to an account but I see nothing related to the direct altering of a user account. I suspect they only recognize GET requests under their RESTful API (for the user area). Thus, a no.
That's just information gleaned from the Facebook API docs, however. I could be missing something though.

not possible: Facebook API/PHP - Is it possible to change a user's profile image via FB Graph API?, and also my own experience.

This feature is not possible, period. Although you can upload an image to the Graph API and then redirect the user to the permalink of that post :)

It's possible by adding makeprofile=1 at the end of uploaded photo url. You can find example (PHP) and demo here: http://4rapiddev.com/facebook-graph-api/php-change-facebook-profile-picture-with-graph-api/

Uploading videos to a specific PREDETERMINED account with YouTube API v3

I have a website on which clients will be uploading videos. The thing is - I want those videos to be uploaded to OUR channel, not users' channels. I don't see how I could make it work using YouTube API v3.
Every time a person wants to upload something using the access token I provided he has to input his own credentials. He can't simply upload anything directly to OUR channel.
Is there a way to work that around?
Short answer is: You should not ask your users to upload into your account.

Api V2 have option you've mentioned. Did you try it?
Basically you want to let Users upload Videos in your website, but upload them directly to youtube, without Google AUTH?
Yes you can. Make sure you set the setAccessType to offline.
$client->setAccessType("offline");
This will make it so you get a refresh Token with the users account authentication the first time. A refresh token allows you to reauthenticate without the user being present. (aka, offline). Create your script from the sample API v3 scripts, authorize your main account (the one you want to be predetermined) and display the response. Something like the following will show you your response:
print_r($client->getAccessToken());
You will see your refresh Token in the json response. Save that (either to a database, or hard code it into the script). Now that you have a refresh token, whenever you want to upload to youtube, just call
$client->refreshToken($THE_REFRESH_TOKEN_YOU_SAVED);
$thetoken = $client->getAccessToken();
$client->setAccessToken($thetoken);
After this, your previously authenticated account will now be currently logged into your script.
FYI, these are php examples, you might need to adjust accordingly.

Check if user like a page without creating facebook app

I have to check in my script if a user like a facebook page.
I would realize it without Facebook app. I would not create it.
I founded some examples, but they require a Facebook app, and that user gives it the correct permission.
Can you help me? Is it possible?
Thanks for any suggestion.
You need to use the Facebook API and ask for permission from the user to do this.

User info
If your application is an external website, then you need to use the Facebook API and ask for the user_likes permission + valid access and make a POST to USER_ID/likes/PAGE_ID
If your application is a canvas or a tab application, then you can use the signed_request parameters that Facebook send you.

How to update twitter profile header image using the twitter API?

Twitter has launched new profile design
there is a big header image like facebook cover image
what i want to know is if there is any way i can update user's header image using twitter api??
If you look at the Network log while updating your header image in your Twitter account, you will see a call to 'upload_profile_header' went saving the new header image.
Look at the request payload to get the parameters needed.
authenticity_token=...&fileData=...&fileName=...&height=260&offsetLeft=0&offsetTop=0&uploadType=header&width=520.
Theoretically if you were gonna POST to account/upload_profile_header with all the parameters listed above this should be working.
I haven't tested this concept yet and it is just my suggestion.
Let me know how it went
There doesn't seem to be from looking at the API documentation, no: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1#112
It wouldn't surprise me if they don't either. Facebook don't allow third-party apps to set cover photos as it can lead to apps essentially "hijacking" user profiles for their own promotion gain.

Easy way to get facebook statuses from a particular page in PHP?

I need to grab the statuses from a Facebook page via PHP to display on the page. I don't want to have people logging in to facebook just for my script to grab the statuses from the page since it is a public page and isn't restricted. I have the Facebook API for PHP in my projects directory but have no idea how to use it to do what I want it to. Could someone give me a code example of how I'd do this? Thanks!
It's really a straight forward task if you follow the documentation. Since /PAGE_ID/feed requires any valid access_token, your app access_token is enough to get the data:
Open the Graph API Explorer (I'm querying coca-cola/feed)
Get an app access_token from the Access Token Tool and use it instead of yours
You're done!

Can a page tab post to a user's wall?

I have a Facebook application used as a tab in a fan page, that displays different information depending on whether tha user is a fan of that page or not.
Now I've been asked to have it post a message to a user's wall if they perform certain action (follow a link or whatever), and so far I haven't found a way to do that. All the documentation I have found refers to stand alone apps, and I've even seen it suggested (in the FB forums) that you can't get the auth token from an app.
So, i still think it can be done, but how?
If a user has authorized your app, you can post to her wall using the PHP SDK. See the PHP SDK api documentation for examples.
All apps have to be iframe apps now, so loading the JS sdk should be fine.
You have to get permissions first ->
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/#applogin
Then you can post using php with what Dhiren said, or, post with the fb.api function with JS ->
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/javascript/FB.api/
Let me know if you need an example script.
Cheers
