Push Notifications APNS suddenly stopped working- sandbox - php - php

I am working on a Iphone app that uses push notification.It was working fine earlier and suddenly stopped working. My php code is
<?php
$deviceToken = ''; // masked for security reason
// Passphrase for the private key (ck.pem file)
$pass = 'appendit';
// Get the parameters from http get or from command line
$message = $_GET['message'] or $message = $argv[1] or $message = 'Test Message';
$badge = (int)$_GET['badge'] or $badge = (int)$argv[2];
$sound = $_GET['sound'] or $sound = $argv[3];
// Construct the notification payload
$body = array();
$body['aps'] = array('alert' => $message);
if ($badge)
$body['aps']['badge'] = $badge;
if ($sound)
$body['aps']['sound'] = $sound;
/* End of Configurable Items */
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'apns-dev.pem');
// assume the private key passphase was removed.
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $pass);
$fp = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT, $ctx);
if (!$fp) {
print "Failed to connect $err $errstrn";
return;
}
else {
print "Connection OK \n";
}
$payload = json_encode($body);
$msg = chr(0) . pack("n",32) . pack('H*', str_replace(' ', '', $deviceToken)) . pack("n",strlen($payload)) . $payload;
print "sending message :" . $payload . "\n";
fwrite($fp, $msg);
fclose($fp);
?>
I am getting Connection OK sending message :{"aps":{"alert":"Test Message"}} while running from browser. Any idea what may be wrong there ?
Thanks

My guess is that your certificate has expired. I had an expired dev certificate and Apple just accepted the message without complaint, although it never arrived. When I updated the certificate the messages started arriving.

PHP - APNs messages are delivered but not received on iOS device

I am using following code to send push notification to ios devices. I am getting successfully delivered message in php side but not receiving push in iOS device.
I have checked with replacing .pem files nd also tested with sendbox and production both. Its not working both. Please provide me the way of debugging this issue.
function iosTest($tToken)
{
// Provide the Host Information.
//$tHost = 'gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com';
$tHost = 'gateway.push.apple.com';
$tPort = 2195;
//echo "hi";
// Provide the Certificate and Key Data.
$tCert = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/N****d.pem';
// Provide the Private Key Passphrase (alternatively you can keep this secrete
// and enter the key manually on the terminal -> remove relevant line from code).
// Replace XXXXX with your Passphrase
$tPassphrase = 'harsh';
// Provide the Device Identifier (Ensure that the Identifier does not have spaces in it).
// The message that is to appear on the dialog.
$tAlert = 'Testing..';
// The Badge Number for the Application Icon (integer >=0).
$tBadge = 1;
// Audible Notification Option.
$tSound = 'default';
// The content that is returned by the LiveCode "pushNotificationReceived" message.
$tPayload = 'APNS Message Handled by LiveCode';
// Create the message content that is to be sent to the device.
$tBody['aps'] = array (
'alert' => $tAlert,
'badge' => $tBadge,
'sound' => $tSound,
);
//$tBody ['payload'] = $tPayload;
// Encode the body to JSON.
$tBody = json_encode ($tBody);
echo $tBody;
// Create the Socket Stream.
$tContext = stream_context_create ();
stream_context_set_option ($tContext, 'ssl', 'local_cert', $tCert);
// Remove this line if you would like to enter the Private Key Passphrase manually.
stream_context_set_option ($tContext, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $tPassphrase);
// Open the Connection to the APNS Server.
$tSocket = stream_socket_client ('ssl://'.$tHost.':'.$tPort, $error, $errstr, 30, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $tContext);
// Check if we were able to open a socket.
if (!$tSocket)
exit ("APNS Connection Failed: $error $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
// Build the Binary Notification.
$tMsg = chr (0) . chr (0) . chr (32) . pack ('H*', $tToken) . pack ('n', strlen ($tBody)) . $tBody;
// Send the Notification to the Server.
$tResult = fwrite ($tSocket, $tMsg, strlen ($tMsg));
if ($tResult)
echo 'Delivered Message to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Could not Deliver Message to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the Connection to the Server.
fclose ($tSocket);
//send_feedback_request();
}
Thanks in advance.
Kindly use the following code as it working on my end
<?php
// Put your device token here (without spaces):
$deviceToken = '17b2f31afd5c9736ad48ffca8d1936046431c6fc1f3f3ac661bcbfbf97ca60cc';
// Put your private key's passphrase here:
$passphrase = '';
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'HireRightNew.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
// Open a connection to the APNS server
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => 'Breaking News',
'sound' => 'default',
'link_url' => $url,
'category' => 'NEWS_CATEGORY',
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
if (!$result)
echo 'Message not delivered' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Message successfully delivered' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the connection to the server
fclose($fp);

iOS push notification not working using PHP

I am trying to implement push notification in iOS in PHP using APNS library. Here is my code :
<?php
// Put your device token here (without spaces):
$deviceToken = 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX';
// Put your private key's passphrase here:
$passphrase = 'XXXXXX';
// Put your alert message here:
$message = 'My first push notification!';
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'Certificates.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
// Open a connection to the APNS server
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => $message,
'sound' => 'default'
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));print_r($result);
if (!$result)
echo 'Message not delivered' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Message successfully delivered' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the connection to the server
fclose($fp);
?>
It show message sending successfully but in iOS it does not show notification.
2015-07-28 08:32:39 Connected to APNS result = 97
2015-07-28 08:32:39 Message successfully delivered
2015-07-28 08:32:39 Connection closed to APNS
Why this is happening? Am I missing anything ?
his mistake is with the ios 9 if so stop using the code in objective C and use in swift as it has a bug in generating objectiv token - C for ios9.
I recommend urgent change your code.
Also through this thought was the server when the scheduled ios changed for swift everything was resolved and my php was almost equal.
Care:
$ msg = chr (0). pack ('N', 32). pack (H * ','. '$deviceToken [0].'). pack ('N', strlen ($ payload)). $ payload;
There are two potential reason that is causing this:
Your app is in foreground
Your device token is invalid
In my app. I am directly getting deviceToken that's in NSData
- (void)application:(UIApplication *)application didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken:(NSData *)deviceToken
{
NSString *deviceTokenString = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#", deviceToken];
// this is producing something like:
// <xxxxxxx 9b0f527f xxxxxxxx 2727ed28 xxxxxxxx 4e693a61 xxxxxxx ac2f7dbb>
//
// and i am directly saving that to my servers database
Here's what i have in my server.
$from_database = "<xxxxxxx 9b0f527f xxxxxxxx 2727ed28 xxxxxxxx 4e693a61 xxxxxxx ac2f7dbb>";
// this removes the '<' and '>' to make the device token valid
//
$token_string = substr($from_database, 1, -1);
$token_array[] = $token_string;
// you can also add multiple 'token_string' to the 'token_array' for push notification broadcasting, i am currently doing that and it is working properly.
...
public function __push_notification($message_input, $token_array)
{
$message = stripslashes($message_input);
$passphrase = 'xxxxxx';
$cert = realpath('xxx.pem');
$payload = '{
"aps" :
{
"alert" : "'.$message.'",
"badge" : 1,
"sound" : "bingbong.aiff"
}
}';
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', $cert);
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
$fp = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
{
// echo "Failed to connect $err $errstr <br>";
return;
}
else
// echo "Post notification sent<br>";
$dev_array = array();
$dev_array = $token_array;
foreach ($dev_array as $device_token)
{
$msg = chr(0) .
pack("n", 32) .
pack('H*', str_replace(' ', '', $device_token)) .
pack("n", strlen($payload)) .
$payload;
// echo "sending message :" . $payload . "n";
fwrite($fp, $msg);
}
fclose($fp);
}

How to know all devices tokens to send push notification (APNS) in a loop?

I'm trying to use a php code to send to all tokens who downloaded my iPhone application. Could you tell me how to send to multiple devices and how to get into a loop of devices tokens?
this is my code:
<?php
$deviceToken = ''; // HERE I CAN SEND TO ONE DEVICE
// Passphrase for the private key (ck.pem file)
// $pass = '';
// Get the parameters from http get or from command line
$message = $_GET['message'] or $message = $argv[1] or $message = 'MY NOTIFICATION BODY';
$badge = (int)$_GET['badge'] or $badge = (int)$argv[2];
$sound = $_GET['sound'] or $sound = $argv[3];
// Construct the notification payload
$body = array();
$body['aps'] = array('alert' => $message);
if ($badge)
$body['aps']['badge'] = $badge;
if ($sound)
$body['aps']['sound'] = $sound;
/* End of Configurable Items */
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'apns-dev.pem');
// assume the private key passphase was removed.
// stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $pass);
$fp = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60,STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT, $ctx);
if (!$fp) {
print "Failed to connect $err $errstrn";
return;
}
else {
print "Connection OK\n";
}
$payload = json_encode($body);
$msg = chr(0) . pack("n",32) . pack('H*', str_replace(' ', '', $deviceToken)) . pack("n",strlen($payload)) . $payload;
print "sending message :" . $payload . "\n";
fwrite($fp, $msg);
fclose($fp);
?>
I wrote a tutorial on push notifications. I suggest you read it so you will better understand what you're supposed to do:
http://www.raywenderlich.com/3443/apple-push-notification-services-tutorial-part-12
Push messages have to be sent one by one. You'll have to use a foreach loop to loop through the device tokens:
Here's a simple example:
foreach ( $device_tokens as $device_token )
{
// Send device token a message here.
}
Where $device_tokens is an array of device tokens.

Apple Push Notification with PHP, iphone does not recieve, what does possibility cause this happen?

here, is my coding on linux server.
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'apns-prod.pem');
$apnsConnection = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT, $ctx);
$deviceToken = "XXXX"; //no space
$message = "A new question has been posted";
$body = array();
$body['aps'] = array('alert' => $message);
$badge = 1;
$sound = 1;
if($badge)
{$body['aps']['badge'] = $badge;}
if($sound)
{$body['aps']['sound'] = $sound;}
$payload = json_encode($body);
$msg = chr(0) . pack("n",32) . pack('H*', str_replace(' ', '', $deviceToken)) . pack("n",strlen($payload)) . $payload;
echo $payload;
fwrite($apnsConnection, $msg);
fclose($apnsConnection);
It happens, if your hosting server doesn't open the port:2195 or 2196.
I found the same problem. I guess Apple is not sending the push for some error.
So I solved it like this:
When the iPhone receives the push it goes back to the server and updates the GetPush column in the table.
As long (or maybe three times) as this GetPush column is not set the server will ask the Apple server to send the push.

Android can use like apple push-notification with php?

i use php to post to apple ..
$message = $error_msg;
$deviceToken = $dtoken;
$badge = 1;
$sound = 'received3.caf';
$body = array();
$body['aps'] = array('alert' => $message);
if ($badge)
$body['aps']['badge'] = $badge;
if ($sound)
$body['aps']['sound'] = $sound;
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', '/home/administrator/applecert/apns-dev.pem');
$fp = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT, $ctx);
error_reporting(E_ALL);
if (!$fp) {
print "Failed to connect $err $errstr\n";
return;
} else {
print "Connection OK\n";
}
$payload = json_encode($body);
$msg = chr(0) . pack("n",32) . pack('H*', str_replace(' ', '', $deviceToken)) . pack("n",strlen($payload)) . $payload;
print "sending message :" . $payload . "\n";
fwrite($fp, $msg);
fclose($fp);
and andriod have similar way to post with php?
thanks ,all
Take a look at the C2DM service google offers :
http://code.google.com/intl/fr-FR/android/c2dm/
This code is well tested.
Note : You need to remember 3 points to check.
Passphrase : confirm with IOS developer.
.PEM : Please verify with your IOS develoepr created '.PEM' file is for sandbox or live server.
PORT 2195 : Need to verify whether this port has opened or not on your server.
If you have done these 3 steps, Now you can send push notification with below code with few configuration changes.
function pushNotification($deviceToken, $msg, $sounds, $type) {
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', '');
// Put your private key's passphrase here:
$passphrase = ;
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT | STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => $msg,
'sound' => $sounds,
'badge' => 1,
'type' => $type,
);
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
// print_r($result);
fclose($fp);
}
