How to install PHP curl extension on wamp server WIN XP? - php

I have WAMP SERVER,PHP 5.3.0 and Apache server 2.2.11 I want to download a suitable CURL lib version for it
I studied the sites and found that this installation will not be easy it may not work if the version is not suitable please help me with details also I found here:
http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090827212635AAWBwZj
http://www.ozzu.com/programming-forum/curl-issue-for-wamp-server-t100949.html
but I'm not sure to get the perfect result cause my version is different
also I have another problem if I can not install it in a good way will my wamp server and databases go wrong or not?

Are you running WAMPSERVER? If not, I would recommend doing so if you wouldn't miss your current WAMP environment -- it comes with CURL along with many other useful features.
Check it out here: http://www.wampserver.com/en/

open php.ini file and find this line
;extension=php_curl.dll
remove ;
extension=php_curl.dll
save file
...
still problem exists
then check for this file
php_curl.dll
in
{wamp}\bin\php\php5.x.x\ext\
if it's not there than download it from internet and paste it to there
Restart Apache.

Need help in configuring WAMP (phpMyAdmin)

So I have been looking on the net for hours now and I can't solve my problem.
I have wamp installed (WampServer Version 3.1.7 64bit).
I want to open phpMyAdmin through wamp. (I have the phpMyAdmin5.0.2 installed and phpMyAdmin.conf is configured).
I have several php versions installed.(this was done through the process of trying to fix the solution alone).
When I try to open phpMyAdmin I get this error message: [1]: https://i.stack.imgur.com/ZEMaX.png .
I have tried configuring php.ini file (by de-commenting mysqli) it didn't change a thing.
Here's my php.ini file joined in the google drive link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fQuVoh5vhRX-MHhYL3zMQ4xNkstO-4Ch/view?usp=sharing .
I have configured extension_dir tp the php/ext folder.
I have similary configured my windows path to the php/ext.
Nothing I try works. Any help is welcome.
Thank you.
Since you're using WAMP, which should include all the pieces you need already working, but also have several PHP versions installed, it sounds like you're installing more than you need which is causing conflicts.
Assume you have no data in your database or web pages that you need to preserve, I suggest removing everything; get rid of WAMP and any extra Apache, PHP, or MySQL/MariaDB installations you have. Clean up (delete or move out of the way) any leftover configuration files, then reinstall WAMP. If you have trouble after installing only WAMP and no other PHP installation, then report back here details of the error. WAMP should come to you working and all ready to go, so if there is a problem, it will be helpful to start from a known base installation without extra configuration files or executable that will cause conflicts.
I'll also point out that the very top of the file you posted states that it's used only for the PHP Command Line Interface, so this is not the configuration file used by anything running through your webserver (like phpMyAdmin or your site). It's a little confusing that there are really two PHP instances (one for the command line and one that runs through the webserver), but in this case you would be looking for the file in wamp/bin/apache/apache2.x.y/bin/php.ini

Wamp Server 2.5 (PHP5.5) Cant activate sqlsrv module

I just updated my Wamp Server and got a problem now.
My SQLSRV extension wont get loaded correctly.
I dont know where the problem is exactly because i dont get any errors on startup. Also the error log is clean. There is just a little red triangle instead of a check in the php extension list:
Some Information:
Windows Server 2012 x64
Wamp 2.5 32BIT
PHP5.5
The Warning Icon means one of 2 things :-
Either the extension= line is in your php.ini but the dll it points to is not in your \ext folder
Or the dll exists in the ext folder but not in your php.ini
Which one is it in your case. If you updated WAMPServer the SQLServer dll does not come with any PHP install by default, so you will have to download it from the microsoft site.
hmm, i still cant understand this error. sure i know that i have to download the SQL driver manually. And i know only the "SQLSRV31.EXE" driver is working with Win Server 2K12. I downloaded this one and copied all php5.5 drivers into the /ext folder. Then i copied the name of the dll`s and added them to the php.ini:
http://fs1.directupload.net/images/141206/pkij993j.png
I will tryout installing the older wamp version with php5.4 included. May this will work =)
I also experienced the same thing happened to you. I tried many things but didn't work at all. I installed all the things required for Wamp like Microsoft visual basics 2012 but it still didn't worked.
This is the most important thing, for me this problem happened because i download wamp server 2.5 from the official wamp server site. http://www.wampserver.com/Mk
DON'T DO IT. it's totally a shit. then i download wamp server 2.4(old version) from this site called FIRE HORSE. this is the link http://www.filehorse.com/download-wampserver-32/
I downloaded and installed wamp server 2.4 from this site and it worked perfectly fine. and i also installed the latest Joomla version 3.4.5 in wamp server. Now i'm using it 100% fine. Many thanks for FIRE HORSE site.
I hope you all will find this useful and don't forget to tell me if i'm wrong because i'm still in learning progress i just shared my experience with you all. thank you.

ffmpeg setting up in wamp (in local) OR server

can anyone explain the procedure of installing ffmpeg in wamp.
I got an answer to my previous question on ffmpeg and wamp that we have to interface the ffmpeg (here) with wamp.
I need to have a step by step process of how to do this, as I am confused with the interfacing little bit
I also want to know what is a way to install this ffmpeg into the server, or the procedure to do before we do the encloding procedures
Try the following steps.
Download ffmpeg_new from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg-php/files/
Copy php_ffmpeg.dll from the php5 folder to the C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-2\ext
Copy files from common to the windows/system32 folder
Add extension=php_ffmpeg.dll to php.ini file
Restarted all services (Apache, PHP...)
And enable "extension=php_ffmpeg.dll" directive in your php.ini.
All the best.
Thanks,
Kanji
make all the following steps mentioned above with http://sergey89.ru/files/ffmpeg-php/ffmpeg-php-5.3-win32-all.zip
I use php 5.3.5 (wamp 2.1 x32)

Installing xampp

I tried to install xampp (I downloaded xampp-win32-upgrade-1.7.2-1.7.3). After I finish extracting it gives fatal error :
failed opening required : G:\xampp\install\xampp_xampp_php'
in G:\xampp\setup_xampp.bat on line 33
Did I download wrong archive. I'm installing on windows 7 64 bit.I don't have any preinstalled xampp.
Uhm just out of curiosity, if you don't have xampp installed, why did you get the upgrade version instead of the final one? Get the basic package instead
It's because you downloaded the 32 bit version, hence the 'win32' in the name.
You can also try a new WAMP Stack called AMPPS by Softaculous.
http://www.ampps.com/download
You can download xampp from Apache-friends. In there select your operating system such as windows / Linux etc.. Then in the download section click on xampp. Then you will see the link called "installer" click on it. and your download will start and it.
Download and install the software to your computer. If the application control start automatically it is fine. If not you can go to the folder where the xampp is downloaded and then check for xampp control click on it and open it.
Then what you have to do is starting Apache to access to our localhost. So you click on the start button right in front of Apache. And that you will see it starts running.
It is there described properly. How to install xampp. check it.
I installed it on Windows 10 and it installs quite easily as long as you have the correct version. I only chose Apache and MariaDB during installation. As I am using an earlier version of MySQL and using IIS, I will have to modify the MySQL and Apache to work on my computer. Although the installation web site says MariaDB, I still see MySQL. Perhaps I need to upgrade to MariaDB.
Here you can find more details with some screen shots:
http://hodentek.blogspot.com/2015/11/installing-xampp-on-computer-running.html
You just have to go to Xampp site and download new related version. it is easy to install
uninstall your xampp, and craete backup your file , install 64 bit version
This error comes when the Downloaded archive is damaged.
Please follow some steps it may help you:
Just delete temporary files in you System using Run Command
RUN-> TEMP
RUN-> %TEMP%
Download new archive (32 bit version is supported in 64 bit).
Restart your PC
Try to install if problem persists check your PC's antivirus

PHP -> CLI has stopped working

I recently installed Windows 7 on my desktop and the following problem has begun occuring:
I regularly run some PHP scripts from the commandline that are now giving this error in a popup window:
CLI has stopped working.
I cancel this and my script terminates. Not good...
I've googled around and tried most of the few ideas suggested but still i am plagued by this annoyance. Right now it appears to regularly occur when I do a file_get_contents() of a url pointing to an image file. Only happens when the url is http protocol, works fine for ftp files. It also happens spuriously doing other things as well.
This is PHP 5.3.0 as distributed in a xampp 1.7.2 .zip. All exe's and dll's have been unblocked by copying thru FAT32 and back.
hints from anyone who's cracked this would be most helpful.
Try updating your PHP version bundled with xampp. You might have to update some php_XXX.dll extension files.
More info: http://web2.0entrepreneur.com/31/cli-has-stopped-working-on-windows-vista.html
PHP-CLI stops under these circumstances: Windows 7 64bit, PHP 5.6.8 64bit, only when Zend OpCache extension is ENABLED!!!
Just edit php.ini and comment zend_extension=php_opcache.dll (with ; in front of it)
I found that this happened to me when I had the APC extension enabled. I switched to using the Wincache for PHP extension instead.
If you receive this error after installing WAMP, most likely you have another installation of PHP on your machine. This may have been installed using the Microsoft Web Platform Installer or by other means. The first thing you should do is un-install PHP.
If this doesn't work, check to make sure that IIS and Apache are not trying to use the same port. WAMP starts out with Port 80 as standard and IIS usually will be the same. The easiest way to fix this is to turn off IIS while running WAMP, but you can set either of them servers to port 81 or another port.
If this doesn't work, my last suggest is to look for multiple copies of php.ini on your machine. You may find them in places like the Windows directory. Make a backup of the file just in case, and then remove them from all of the folders except the WAMP folder.
it happened to me in laravel 5.I searched every where but no solution that fix my problem then i debug my web application at different points and found that if you comment your php code in laravel comments in blade template like
{{--print_r($date_a);--}}
Now comment like this
//print_r($date_a);
works
The solution for me was to stop using PHP 5.3.0 and go back to 5.2.11. Once I did this the "CLI has stopped working" issue disappeared.
I have the same issue with Windows 7 Professional.
My Apache Server has no problem finding and executing PHP within my web application but the command line execution gives the infamous message "CLI has stopped working."
The User Account Settings seem to allow executions.
Perl has no problem.
I always have to take my code to an XP machine and run it there to debug it.
You didn't specify that you were using xdebug, but just in case you were, I may be able to help. I had this error for a long time. It turned out I was on a slightly older version of Xdebug (php_xdebug-2.2.0-5.4-vc9.dll).
I replaced that file with "php_xdebug-2.2.2-5.4-vc9.dll" and it magically started working immediately.
I'm on wamp, and I updated both php.ini files (one is for cli, one for normal use) with the latest filename.
"zend_extension = c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.4.3\ext\php_xdebug-2.2.2-5.4-vc9.dll"
Then dropped the new file into the php ext folder and instant success.
I had the same issue on Windows 7 (Home premium). I had a hunch that it is caused by one of the extensions I installed so I started commenting them out one-by-one.
Turned out it was caused by a non-compatible mongodb extension I was using
Edit php.ini and comment zend_extension=opcache.enable_cli=1 (with ; in front of it)
Try to use another php version instead.
It works perfectly for me.
Try to run scripts with php-cgi.exe instead of php.exe. For me it works.
