Here is my code:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond application/public/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule (.*) application/public/$1 [L]
I want to make expression:
If file {REQUEST_FILENAME} doesn't exist AND if file application/public/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} exists do rewrite
Example results:
/style.css = /application/public/style.css
/gfx/logo.png = /application/public/gfx/logo.png
/index.php = /index.php
/Welcome = /index.php?input=Welcome (it's working)
What is proper code for this expression? I think i need to change line:
RewriteCond application/public/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
But i have no bloody idea how...
Full .htaccess listing:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule style,(.+).css tmp/merged/css,$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteRule script,(.+).js tmp/merged/js,$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond application/public/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule (.*) application/public/$1 [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule (.*) index.php?input=$1 [L,QSA]
(sorry for my english)
i've found small workaround, but it's not elegant solution :(
RewriteEngine on
# Access to files in ./application/public
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule (.*) application/public/$1 [DPI]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule application/public/(.*) $1 [DPI]
# Main rewrite
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule (.*) index.php?input=$1 [L,QSA,DPI]

I have the following in my .htaccess:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [L]
This works nicely, but I don't want the RewriteRule to trigger for the following folder and its subfolders.
www.site.co.uk/Content
How do I do this?
Try this Rule,
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^(content)($|/) - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [L]
or create a .htaccess in content directory and put
RewriteEngine off
I have trying to figure out how to get working in subfolder "admin" the same thing which works in root dir, problem is I don't know how to do that.
Currently I have:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ ?arg=$1 [L,QSA]
# /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.[[:alnum:]]+$
RewriteRule ^(.+[^/])$ /$1/ [R=301]
Now it works like:
http://example.com/page translate into http://example.com/?arg=page
What I would like to do in addition is this:
http://example.com/admin/page translate into http://example.com/admin/?arg=page
I don't know at all how to make that happen, can somebody help me please?
Thanks
You can use these rules with appropriate RewriteBase:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /admin/
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule [^/]$ %{REQUEST_URI}/ [L,R=301,NE]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ ?arg=$1 [L,QSA]
Or just add
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^/admin/(.*)$ admin/index.php?arg=$1 [L,QSA]
This is my first htaccess file.
this is what i have written
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule \.(css|js|png|jpg|gif|otf|eot|svg|ttf|woff|jpeg)$ - [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)$ maincategory/index.php?main=$1&sub=$2 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)/([^/]*)$ subcategory/index.php?main=$1&sub=$2&cat=$3 [L,QSA,NC]
The problem what I am facing is both are pointing to maincategory.
How can I redirect based on number of "/" in the URL?
Thanks in advance.
Rearrange the rules and try it this way. Let me know if that works for you.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule \.(css|js|png|jpg|gif|otf|eot|svg|ttf|woff|jpeg)$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)/([^/]*)$ subcategory/index.php?main=$1&sub=$2&cat=$3 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)$ maincategory/index.php?main=$1&sub=$2 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)$ product.php?ref=$1 [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)$ /category.php?sub=$1 [L]
The values sent with variable sub conflicts with values from ref
product.php?ref=$1 [L]
category.php?sub=$1 [L]
My advice for any kind of rewrite rules that intend some form of semantic URLs, that is:
/home
instead of
index.php?page=home
Make one rule that captures all URLs, like:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ handler.php?__url=$1 [QSA]
Then have handler.php figure out what you want to do.
You know your categories and products, so if the URL is /[product|category] then handle it.
With little bit of change following code should work:
Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
RewriteEngine On
# don't do anything for a valid file or directory
RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} !^$ [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
# Product handler /i/test
RewriteRule ^i/([^/]+)/?$ /product.php?ref=$1 [L,NC,QSA]
# PHP handler
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ /$1.php [L]
# category handler
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/?$ /category.php?sub=$1 [L,QSA]
i have a Problem with my .htaccess/mod_rewrite:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^sometest/(.+)/page/([0-9]+)$ index.php?main=sometest/$1&page=$2
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index.php?main=$1 [QSA]
This does not work. If i visit my website the css files are not included.
I include them like "/assets/css/blabla.css".
If i delete just one RewriteRule (doesn't matter which one) it works. But i need both rules.
You must use skip flag skip|S=numfor this.
like :
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(.*)/([^/]+)\.([^/]+)$
RewriteRule ^ - [S=2,L]
RewriteRule ^sometest/(.+)/page/([0-9]+)$ index.php?main=sometest/$1&page=$2 [S=1,L]
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index.php?main=$1 [QSA,L]
