Creating a google plus / digg like social bookmark button - php

For a client of ours we need to create a share button for his site so that the users of his site can add this button to their blogs / sites and others can click on it and it will just open up a popup asking the user to login (if already logged in, the link bookmark page appears) to the clients site and bookmark it. Can somebody guide me on how to do it with php and javascript?

Instead of trying to implement this yourself why not try a 3rd party plugin like http://www.sharethis.com/ ?
It does all of the leg work for you and is very flexible.

How to redirect to a page without removing a sidebar but the link in the address bar change

I make the question nice and clear.. you know the Facebook Real-Time Chat right? The ChatList or ChatBox that is in the right side of facebook where your online friends appear. When you navigate through accounts by pressing a link on facebook the menu bar and that chatbox is not removed or not included in the page refresh but the browser address bar change. How can I achieve that ?
It seems like Facebook using History API and a combination of AJAX and Backbone.js.
Also spine.js should do this.

Using a popup div instead of a url with Disqus SSO login link

I'm not sure how to better formulate my question, so I'll just descibe my situation : I succesfully installed Disqus and the Single Sign-On API on my site so my users can use their account on my site to comment without the need for additionnal credentials. Disqus provide a custom login link for users to log in directly from the comments section. The link opens a new window and, after the user has logged in and the window closes, Disqus refreshes the comments.
My problem is that you need to have a new window, which is hard to style to create a seemless experience for the user. I would rather have a Jquery UI popup div, or some other way of having the login process inside the same page. Do you know if such a tweak is possible? If not, could you give me styling hints to improve the popup window so it doesn't stand out too much (centering, removing borders, auto-focus, etc.)?
It isn't secure for us to allow entering passwords in the same window, and you'll notice that all login options are loaded in a new window (not just SSO). So there's no way to do this specifically.
You don't have to use our SSO login experience, as some sites instead put their login option right above <div id="disqus_thread"></div>. If you do that, just make sure you keep the "Logout" link in the configuration.

Facebook graph API - liking a Facebook page; can be achieved with correct authorisation?

So I've read up about this everywhere, and the general consensus is that you are unable to like a Facebook page using any kind of API (but you can now like external pages via the graph api, as well as pages that link through to Facebook pages it would seem, e.g. I can create a like on here: http://facebook.com/40796308305).
However, while doing this research, I heard 'rumours' about apps being given the authorisation to like Facebook pages via oAuth or the graph API. Does anyone know this to be true?
Essentially, I have a page where a user must click on the 'like' button of a Facebook page, and then click a button to confirm they have liked it. The back-end then uses then authenticates the user for the app, and checks to see if the like exists on the page. If so, then a new page loads up. If not, they are redirected and asked to ensure they have clicked the like button.
Effectively, I would rather this process be done by telling the user that clicking the button will cause them to 'like' a Facebook page, and do it in one process.
Looking at the graph API, I could create a new 'action' to achieve the same effect, but as I understand it, unless they 'like' the Facebook page, they won't see posts from the page on their timeline.
Does anyone know if any 'rumours' of authenticated apps are true? If not, then what I'm talking about is probably not achievable; but I thought I would ask here first. Just trying to get a final word on the matter.
On a side note; if likes are not possible for pages, is there a way to generate an action, that also subscribes to a pages feed?
Cheers.

Then why not just embed the JS SDK, and subscribe to the event of the user clicking the like button …? When you receive the event, then you can reload your page automatically via script.
For the rest of your question: TL;DR, and also not here to discuss “rumours”, sorry.

Facebook App redirection

I'm new to Facebook API. Upon reading the developers page, there are 3 types of apps to choose from. I'm trying to create something very similar to Dailymotion app whereas when the user watched a video on dailymotion, it is automatically posted on their wall.
I know the basics of authentication, what I would want to know is how to start doing this app. I found the dailymotion app and whenever I try to go to it, it just redirects to their homepage (how was it done by the way? clicking the 'go to app' button leads to their site).
here's the app: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=96937694899&ref=ts
I just found out how to do it. In facebook app page, you must uncheck everything under: "Select how your app integrates with Facebook" - Thats how I set it and when you click the app, it just redirects to the homepage and not an iframe FB app.
Regarding the "_ watched a video on Dailymotion". Those are actions and objects using open graph as stated by Dhiraj.

How to login in website using facebook id

I have made a website on which a user has to log in using a username and password. I have seen these in so many website, we can connect through facebook account. And I want to add the same to my web site. How is it possible, using php sdk or the javascript sdk?
The team at Facebook has spent considerable time documenting this, I would suggest you start there:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/web#login
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/
If possible, I would do like dracolytch writes here and create a level of abstraction for both OpenID and Facebook. He is willing to share his code.
Those links are what Facebook likes to call "Badges." Go to your profile. Scroll all the way to the bottom. On the lower left hand column you should see a link that says "Create Profile Badge." Click that. From there you can edit a Badge to show the info you'd like. At the end, it will give you some html code that you can copy and paste into another website or blog. When people click on your Badge, they will get sent directly to your Facebook info box.
