Sir
i have two table
first one name as screen_main having field
screen_main_id,screen_date,start_date,end_date
1 12 15
2 13 15
3 14 16
i have to fetch a screen_main_id between two start date and end date after that i have another table name screen_product table
fields:
screen_id screen_main_id article_id quantity price %age
1 1 1 5 234 12%
2 2 1 6 221 12%
3 1 2 5 111 10%
now first table provide me screen_main_id when i am selecting start date and end date after selecting screen_main_id i have to sum all the data having artical group wise like if artical=1 then it do the sum of both id which we got from first table.
my answer
for select first screen_main_id
select * from screen_main where screen_date between start_date='$start_date' and end_date='$end_date'
after fetching screen_main_id
select sum(quantity) ,sum(price),sum( %age ) from screen_product where screen_main_id='$screen_main_id' group by aitical_id
it add but if there is change in screen_main_id then it break in two parts it does not give us sum
please help me if there is any problem to understand my question in please ask me
Thanks
select sum(quantity) ,sum(price),sum( %age ) from screen_product where
screen_main_id='$screen_main_id' group by aitical_id
In Grouping , the fields used in GROUP BY clause must be in the selected fields so the second one becomes
select aitical_id,sum(quantity) ,sum(price),sum( %age ) from screen_product where screen_main_id='$screen_main_id' group by aitical_id
I hope that this would help you

Here is the table structure. I want to fetch all the id_product which have value 2 and 601(here id_product = 5). If i use OR all the records will be populated which is not necessary.
id_product attribute_id Value
5 2 2
6 2 2
8 2 601
6 2 601
5 3 601
8 3 32
6 3 41
Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to use sub query :-p
You can use a group by query:
select
id_product
from
tablename
where
attribute_id=2 and values in (2,601)
group by
id_product
having
count(*)=2
this will select all products that have (attribute_id=2 and value=2) or (attribute_id=2 and value=601) in two different rows, and then it will count the number of rows returned and select only products that have two rows (one with value 2 and one with value 601).
Another option (it's not too clear from your question) is to use this where clause instead of the one on the query above:
where
(attribute_id=2 and value=2) or
(attribute_id=3 and value=601)
You can use this query in your case:
SELECT * FROM nameTable WHERE Values IN (2,601) and attribute_id = 2
Have Table :
id userid type created_date
1 4353535 1 04-06-2014
2 4353536 0 06-06-2014
3 4353537 1 11-06-2014
4 4353538 1 11-06-2014
5 4353539 0 19-06-2014
7 4353541 1 01-06-2014
10 4353544 1 12-06-2014
11 4353535 1 06-06-2014
12 4353536 1 10-06-2014
13 4353537 1 12-06-2014
What I Want : (with in date range)
How much user have single time entry with type 1
How much user have double time entry with type 1
How much user have triple time entry with type 1
How much user have four time entry with type 1
How much user have n time entry with type 1
(PHP & MYSQL)
First get the count for each user, then from that group the entrycount you can get your expected output
select EntryCount, count(userid) from (Select userid, count(id) as Entrycount from myentry group by userid where type=1) as sq group by Entrycount
This will work try
First, get the number of entries per user. Then, get the number of users grouped by number of entries.
SELECT numEntries, COUNT(*) AS numUsers
FROM (
SELECT userid, COUNT(*) AS numEntries
FROM tablename
WHERE type = 1
GROUP BY userid
) tbl
GROUP BY numEntries
Simplified demo
Demo with your data
Here's my database (free rooms in a hotel, simplified)
rooms_available:
id date_available room_id
================================
1 2013-12-19 2
2 2013-12-20 2
3 2013-12-21 2
4 2013-12-22 2
5 2013-12-23 2
6 2013-12-25 3
rooms:
id name minimal_range
================================
2 Apartment A 5
3 Apartment B 1
I want to query all rooms which are available between 2013-12-20 and 2013-12-22
My query is like:
select *
from rooms_available
where (date='2013-12-20' OR date='2013-12-21' OR date='2013-12-22')
My questions:
is there a more comfortable way? when the date range will be like 2 weeks, the query will also be very long (which will take much longer for querying)
would it be possible to consider minimum ranges - for example: room_id 2 is only available for at least 5 nights (see table "rooms") -> so above query should return no records
Thanks
date >= '2013-12-20' and date <= '2013-12-22'
SELECT * FROM rooms_available WHERE `date_available` BETWEEN "2013-12-20 " AND "2012-03-31"
I didn't test this but it should point you in the right direction especially for the second part of your question about minimal range.
SELECT t1.id as id, t1.date_available as date_available, t1.room_id
FROM rooms_availble as t1 JOIN rooms as t2 on t1.room_id = t2.id
WHERE t1.date_available BETWEEN DATE('2013-12-20') AND DATE('2012-03-31') AND
t2.minimal_range <= datediff('2013-12-22', '2012-12-20');
The mysql datediff function will return the number of days between two dates then you can just compare it with the minimal_range from the rooms join table. Also you might consider binding the start and end dates to variables so that you only have to write each date once.
I am using user Keevas' example, but asking a different question....
select Master_Code, SUM(Jan), SUM(Feb), SUM(Mar)
from dbo.foobar
WHERE Participating_City = 'foofoo'
GROUP BY Master_Code ORDER BY Master_Code ASC
something like this:
Master_Code sum(Jan) Sum(Feb) sum(Mar) Total
1 4 5 4 13
2 5 5 5 15
How do I get Total value column?
SELECT username,SUM(value) AS SumValue FROM
table GROUP BY username ORDER BY SumValue DESC
I have two tables, and I want to get the last enterd date.
The first table is seeker:
seeker_nic-----username
111-------------ali
222-------------umer
333-------------raza
The second one is requestblood:
id-------seeker_nic-----requireddate
1------- 111 ----------2012/10/9
2 ------- 222-----------2012/5/8
3 ------ 111-----------2012/12/12
4 ------- 111-----------2012/11/12
5---------111-----------2012/09/09
6 ------- 222-----------2012/7/9
7 ------- 333 ----------2012/4/4
Now, I want to list the users with their last inserted date like..
s.no---- username----- requireddate
1------- ali---------- 2012/09/09
2------- umer--------- 2012/7/9
3------- raza--------- 2012/4/4
i am using this query
SELECT seeker.username,bloodrequest.requireddate,
max( bloodrequest.bloodrequest_id ) AS maxdate
FROM seeker
JOIN bloodrequest ON seeker.seeker_nic = bloodrequest.seeker_nic
GROUP BY seeker.username
when i run this query in phpmyadmin.. its lists all user and show the first inserted date of each user.. but i want the last inserted date ... what should i do.. please i need help :(
EDIT for real answer:
Not very clean sql, but it will get you the results you are looking for. I'm sure there's a way do it better with group by, but this works. :)
SELECT s.username,
(
SELECT br1.requireddate
from bloodrequest as br1
where br1.bloodrequest_id =
(
select max(br2.bloodrequest_id)
from bloodrequest as br2
where br2.seeker_nic = s.seeker_nic
)
) as requireddate
FROM seeker as s
