Aggregate Facebook posts and include app description - php

I have noticed that posts from Seesmic & TripIt often aggregate & show a the app description + icon. Here's a screenshot:
I'm posting messages to a users wall with the Graph API, but I'd like to know how to make the app description show up.
I have also tried posting a few feed stories successively but they are not aggregated like in the screenshot. Any ideas how to do this?
Thanks!

I am working with Facebook graph API right now and I can confirm that there is no method to group these posts.
This is something that Facebook does at its end to help the user manage the information.
Perhaps if you try to post multiple posts at frequent intervals, Facebook considers it a developing news activity coming from the same source and groups it together.

I recently implemented this for our client. This is called Facebook aggregation

Access Shares from a Company on LinkedIn via PHP from Wordpress

I am trying to retrieve the shares of a company on linkedIn (basically just read the stream, as is easily possible on twitter) to display them on a Wordpress website in a custom HTML/CSS styling, so I only need the data. This should happen just in the backend, so no user interaction (as login etc.) should be necessary.[The end result is simply a slider that aggregates the latest social media posts, like twitter, facebook & linkedin. Works for Twitter & FB so far.]
After many hours of research it seems to me that this is not directly possible with an entirely server-side solution?
Can someone direct me if it is possible to do so? There are many php linkedin libs, but all of them seem to direct to some sort of login from which the user is redirected back? (maybe I am mistaken here).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Take a look if they offer public rss feeds, thats the most simple way. When they offer only protected then search for developer acces from where you can get api access.

Is it possible to display Facebook users timeline on website?

OBJECTIVE: I need to display latest 5 entries from users timeline on website, using PHP.
Please not that i speak about timeline of user profile - not fan page, not group.
SO FAR I DID THIS:
Registered as Facebook developer
Registered app
Obtained token
Opened url: https://graph.facebook.com/USER_ID/feed?access_token=MY_TOKEN
Voila. Feed of that user is displayed now, but..
PROBLEM: So now i have users feed, but it looks like its partially working.
It happens often that it don't displays some updates, sometimes it displays just date of the post and not the content.
However when i try to grab feed from some facebook fan page, then everything work normal.
MY QUESTION: Are we allowed to grab user timeline? If yes, what im doing wrong?
You won't ever see all the information that is visible inside the Facebook app via the api. This comes from how Facebook filters out the data. See this Facebook Developers blog post for more information: https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/478/
Yes you are allowed to to grab user timeline posts, even with a limit, if your app asks for read_stream permission. Issue an HTTP GET request to the below URL:
https://graph.facebook.com/user_id/posts?access_token=token&limit=5

PHP posting on page wall

I have a website where users can post jobs for free. How can I link these posts to a facebook page about this website? I don't want the users to login to fb.
At this moment I post them to twitter and then using selective tweets to post them on my page. But selective tweets is not able to post logo's specific for that job.
I created a fb app. Did not select anything just gave it a name and got an appID and appSecret. I dont now what to select in "Select how your app integrates with Facebook". Becouse it is not a mobile app and it is not a website with fb login.
Kind regards.
you can use share on facebook facility of facebook ,from http://developer.facebook.com.
you can easily add this to your website.
have fun!
You can do this easily via MYSQL and PHP, depending on how your current site is setup. What i would do is store the jobs into a separate table while saving, like this
(table) Facebook
pageid //numerical value
header //job title
message //job description
So that you can use it for the next part.
Create an application via Facebook and give it authentication to users and your Facebook page.
by adding this application to your page you can then call something like :
$facebook->set_user($user, $session_key);
$facebook->api_client->stream_publish($item['header'], $item['message'], $item['pageid']);
Using your keys from facebook.
Then you can run a Cron that updates every x minutes, and after it has posted it, in an array, you can clear the table for the next row of jobs.
Let me know where you are on this and ill try to help as much as possible.

Can't get Facebook comments from my post to the website

I am trying to show the comments from my facebook page post on my PHP website. I like the comments to be synced, so where the user enters comments on the facebook post of my page, it will automatically show up on my website. I know how to create the comment box, but it's doesn't pull the comments from the page.
for the comment box I have:
<div class='fb-comments' data-href='https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.182291248558753.39531.182290545225490&type=1&l=d607ba4dcc' data-num-posts='3' data-width='470'></div>
I am trying to show the comments that were left on my post, but it's not pulling it. I have looked at the graph API but can't figure out which on get the comments and how to get the so called "primary key" for the comments.
I have looked at the following fql:
Stream: but I don't know what the "post_id" is supposed to be. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/stream/
Comment: but I don't know what the "post_id","object_id", or "xid" would be for a post in a page of the an album. I even tried to replace the URL in the example post they had, but it seems like FB FQL can't parse that kinda url. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/comment/
Even when we get a list of comments, I am not sure how the fb:comments plugin can use the stream to populate my page, don't know if it's possible!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You could use Facebook PHP SDK for this which you can get from github. You can then use it to retrieve the comments from the post and store them in a database, updating every now and then to stay current. This will mean less requests to Facebook. When a user posts on your site using your form you can then send the post to Facebook using the SDK.
The problem with this method is that you will need to create an app and users will have to authorise the app for it to be able to post as them. So maybe it's not such a good idea, but I've typed all this in now so I'm not going to delete it.

Why do geotargeted posts not appear in API even with accesstoken?

This has been asked before but I haven't seen a definitive answer. Hopefully someone has an answer. Basically, it seems impossible to pull any post that is geo-tageted via the API becasue it has privacy settings, that is, a country set to who can see it.
I am using https://graph.facebook.com/".$pagetoprocess."/posts?&access_token=".$att and this will pull the posts but not any posts that are geotargeted to the UK for example.
If I create an accesstoken from a user who is an admin of the page then I see all posts including geotargeted posts.
Why would this be? how can I see all posts for any page whether I am an admin or not or whether it is geo-targeted?
I would have thought that if you creaded an app in the UK and therefore had an app and secret id code from which you then generated a user access token, why would you not be able to see a post from a page geo-targeting the UK? Seems strange.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jonathan
I would think that all posts would appear, or at least that is what it says on the api. You could try using feed instead of posts, since posts is a derivative. You might also try using:
&include_hidden=TRUE
But I'm not sure that will help.
If you have the page url, I'd be willing to see if I can play around with it in the graph explorer.
