Loading images with php and display on a gallery - php

I have made a javascript code that load dinamically images in a directory (php) and then display them using a jquery galery plugin.
I was unable to run the galleryView after all the pictures were loaded by the client. The single way was to use a delay command.
I don´t have to tell the disadvantages of this method. Does anyone knows how to "correct" the script so that the gallery plugin is called after all the images are loaded?
<script type="text/javascript">
$("document").ready(function() {
$('#aa').load('get_fotos.php').delay(2000).queue(function() {
$('#aa').galleryView({
panel_width: 800,
panel_height: 400,
show_filmstrip_nav: false,
enable_slideshow: false,
panel_animation: 'crossfade',
frame_opacity: 1,
show_infobar: false,
frame_width: 80,
frame_height: 40,
// frame_scale: 'fit',
});
});
});
</script>
Thanks a lot

You can check this out by this:
It worked for me hope it helps.
imageArray = new Array();
imageArray[0] = 'image1.jpg'; // your image path
imageArray[1] = 'image2.jpg'; // your image path
htmldata='';
count = 0;
imgArray = new Array();
$.each(imageArray, function(i,item){
var image=new Image();
$(image).bind("load", {}, function(event) {
count++;
imageArray[i] = $(image).attr("src");
if(count==2){
$("#imageHolder").empty();
$.each(imageArray, function(j,item){
htmldata = '<img id="image'+j+'" src="' + imageArray[j] +'" />'; //create ur image tag u need to call
$("#imageHolder").append(htmldata);
});
$('#aa').galleryView({//call your bind method for plug in
});
}
});
image.src = imageArray[i];

amCharts js doesnt work with ajax call?

I am trying create map with amCharts using jquery ajax but it doesnt work with ajax.
here my ajax code:
$('button#btn').click(function(){
$('div#ozellikli').html('<center><img src="assets/img/loading.gif" width="200" height="200"/></center>')
$.ajax({
type:'post',

data:$('form#oz').serialize(),
success:function(msg){
$('div#ozellikli').html(msg);
}
});
});
Here my ajax php code:
<?php
include 'config.php';
$html="";
$yil=$_POST['yil'];
$tur=$_POST['tur'];
///HARITAYI CIZ
$sql="SELECT id,il,COUNT(kurum) AS kurum_Say FROM ozellikli GROUP BY id,il ORDER BY kurum_Say";
$result=$baglanti->query($sql);
$mapChart="";
while ($query=$result->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) {
$mapChart.=' { title: "'.$query['il'].':'.$query['kurum_Say'].'", id: "TR'.$query['id'].'",value:'.$query['kurum_Say'].', selectable: true },';
}
$html.='<script type="text/javascript">

// bring it to an appropriate color
map.returnInitialColor(event.mapObject);
var states = [];
for (var i in map.dataProvider.areas) {
var area = map.dataProvider.areas[i];
if (area.showAsSelected) {
states.push(area.title);
}
}
});
map.write("mapdiv");
}
createMap();
});
</script>';
echo $html;
?>
when run the ajax code , script loading with ajax correctly but its not charting to map.
How can I solve this issue?
thanks
If you inject the resources the same way, you need to set manually it's ready state otherwise it won't work. AmCharts listens to the dom loaded event to set following property:
AmCharts.isReady = true;

Kinetic JS not working in Firefox

I have used one script. My problem is script is not working in Firefox browser.
Code is here:
window.onload = function(){
var stage = new Kinetic.Stage({
container : "cantainer",
width : 400,
height : 400
});
var layer = new Kinetic.Layer();
stage.add(layer);
var con = stage.getContainer();
var dragSrcEl = null;
//image
document.getElementById("yoda").addEventListener('dragstart',function(e){
dragSrcEl = this;
});
con.addEventListener('dragover',function(e){
e.preventDefault(); //#important
});
//insert image to stage
con.addEventListener('drop',function(e){
var image = new Kinetic.Image({
draggable : true
});
layer.add(image);
imageObj = new Image();
imageObj.src = dragSrcEl.src;
imageObj.onload = function(){
image.setImage(imageObj)
layer.draw()
};
});
Check the script on link: http://jsfiddle.net/lavrton/n4w44/
Thanks for help in advance.
Add
e.preventDefault();
inside drop event listener.

Blur image with pixastic and set it as background with jquery

i have a problem that is bothering me form 2 days.
I'm developing a little music sharing site and i have a problem making the design for the player.
I want to apply a blurred image background to a div with CSS and with the blur begin applied on the image via JS all with pixastic js library. The problem is that pixastic gives me a HTMLImageElement witch i can't apply to a css with $('.footer').css('background', "url(" + img.toDataURL("image/png")+ ")" }); since toDataURL works only with canvas elements.
How can i do that?
My code so far is:
var img = new Image();
img.src = '<?php echo $hd ?>';
img.onload = function() {
Pixastic.process(img, "blurfast", {amount:1});
}
$('.footer').css('background', "url(" + img.toDataURL("image/png")+ ")" });
The $hd is a http url that points to an album artwork using lastfm API
I'm not sure about first argument of css method and why you dont use img.src as url of image? Try something like this:
$('.footer').css('background-image', 'url(' + img.src + ')');
Ok I found probably answer on documentation:
var options = {};
Pixastic.process(image, "action", options);
options.resultCanvas; // <- holds new canvas
So in your case it would be:
var img = new Image(),
options = {};
options.amount = 1
img.src = '<?php echo $hd ?>';
img.onload = function() {
Pixastic.process(img, "blurfast", options);
$('.footer').css('background', "url(" + options.resultCanvas.toDataURL("image/png")+ ")" });
}

jCarousel initializing/refreshing/reloading each time clicked on image

I am making a picture preview with jCarousel (http://sorgalla.com/projects/jcarousel/), but faced with one problem: I do not know how could I reload/refresh jCarousel dynamic list.
I have few categories of images. When I click on a picture in one of that, I need that the list would be created and preview start with that element. I have some code, but do not know how to make it re-create all list after clicking on other image that preview start with other image.
Here are my code:
$(document).ready(function(){
$("ul#stage li").live('click', function() {
var ul = $(this).parent();
var index = +(ul.children().index(this))+1;
var mycarousel_itemList = [ ];
$('li[data-id]').each(function () {
var $this = $(this);
mycarousel_itemList.push({
url : $this.attr("data-img"),
title : $this.attr("data-title")
});
});
function mycarousel_itemLoadCallback(carousel, state) {
for (var i = carousel.first; i <= carousel.last; i++) {
if (carousel.has(i)) {
continue;
}
if (i > mycarousel_itemList.length) {
break;
}
carousel.add(i, mycarousel_getItemHTML(mycarousel_itemList[i-1]));
}
};
function mycarousel_getItemHTML(item) {
return '<img src="' + item.url + '" width="800" height="600" alt="' + item.url + '" />';
};
alert(index);
jQuery('#mycarousel').jcarousel({
itemLoadCallback: {onBeforeAnimation: mycarousel_itemLoadCallback},
size: mycarousel_itemList.length,
scroll: 1,
start: index,
wrap: 'last',
animation: 'fast',
visible: 1
});
document.getElementById('popup-content').style.background='url('+$(this).attr("data-img")+') no-repeat center';
document.getElementById('fades').style.display='block';
document.getElementById("light").style.display = "block";
$("#light").fadeTo("slow", 1);
});
});
Everything is like that: there are images > I click on one of those > popup shows with jCarousel and one visible image and then I could scroll through all other images.
It is working good, but just a first time. When I click on other image (after closing popup), the view starts with that image which was opened last.
If something are not clear enough - please, ask. I will try to make it more precisely.
Thanks for your help!
You can recreate jCarousel, first use $('#mycarousel').remove(); and next init jCarousel again. I didn't really understand what you're trying to do, but this can help in most cases, of course jCarousel should have Destroy method but it hasn't.
And why you don't use jquery selectors in some cases?

JQuery, AJAX, PHP, XML; Image overlay script stops working on callback content

A button click fires my function that fetches image data via an AJAX-call:
$("#toggle_album").click(function () {
album_id = $("#album_id").val();
$.post('backend/load_album_thumbnails.php', {
id: album_id
}, function(xml) {
var status = $(xml).find("status").text();
var timestamp = $(xml).find("time").text();
$("#album_thumbs_data_"+album_id+"").empty();
if (status == 1) {
var temp = '';
var output = '';
$(xml).find("image").each(function(){
var url = $(this).find("url").text();
temp = "<DIV ID=\"thumbnail_image\">[img-tag with class="faded" goes here]</DIV>";
output += temp;
});
$("#album_thumbs_data_"+album_id+"").append(output);
} else {
var reason = $(xml).find("reason").text();
var output = "<DIV CLASS=\"bread\">"+reason+"</DIV>";
$("#album_thumbs_data_"+album_id+"").append(output);
}
$("#album_thumbs_"+album_id+"").toggle();
});
});
The data is returned in XML format, and it parses well, appending the data to an empty container and showing it;
My problem is that my image overlay script:
$("img.faded").hover(
function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": "1"}, "fast");
},
function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": ".5"}, "fast");
});
... stops working on the image data that I fetch via the AJAX-call. It works well on all other images already loaded by "normal" means. Does the script need to be adjusted in some way to work on data added later?
I hope my question is clear enough.
Okay, apparantly I hadn't googled it enough. Surfing my own question here on stackoverflow pointed me to other questions, which pointed me to the JQuery live() function: live().
However, it does not work on hover(), so I rewrote the script to use mouseover() and mouseout() instead:
$("img.faded").live("mouseover",function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": "1"}, "fast");
});
$("img.faded").live("mouseout", function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": "0.5"}, "fast");
});
... and now it works flawlessly even on the content I fetch from the AJAX-call.
Sorry if anyone has started writing an answer already.
You have to bind the new events each time you add a DOM element to the page.
There is a built-in function in jquery called live that does that for you.
I noticed you add the images from your xml; you can add there the new binds too.
$(xml).find("image").each(function(){
//this actually creates a jquery element that you can work with
$('my-img-code-from-xml-goes-here').hover(
function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": "1"}, "fast");
},
function() {
$(this).animate({"opacity": ".5"}, "fast");
}
//i did all my dirty stuff with it, let's add it where it belongs!
).appendTo($('some-already-created-element'));
});
EDIT: corrected a wrong sentence.
