bpopup plugin associates one div element in looped PHP script - php

I am using bpopup with multiple popup links on the page and multiple content for each link. To associate the JQuery with each link, I use a [id^="div_name"]. The JS is given below:-
$(document).ready(function()
{
console.log( 'ready!' );
$('[id^="click"]').bind('click', function(){
$('[id^="profile"]').css('display','inline');
$('[id^="profile"]').bPopup({
modalClose: true
, opacity: .8
, positionStyle: 'fixed'
, fadeSpeed: 'slow'
, followSpeed: 'slow'
});
});
});
The corresponding PHP script has:-
<?php
foreach($listings as $listing)
{
<a id="click" href="some url"><?php echo $listing->profile_link;?></a>
<div id="profile" style="background-color:#fff; width:400px; height:400px; display:none; "><?php echo $listing->company_name; ?></div>
}
The listings are all being associated with the popup action. However, their content is the same as the last $listings->company_name. However, I want the content to have individual company names. I realize that I am using the same div-id and after the content is being rendered on the browser, it associates the last one to all the popups. How do I work around this?

create content popup using colorbox

I'm trying to make a content popup using colorbox.
This is my code
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
$('.colorbox').colorbox({
inline:true,
width: 640,
height: 480
});
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div style="display:none">
<div id="popup">
<?php echo $row["content"]; ?>
</div>
</div>
<?php echo $row["content"]; ?> <a class='colorbox' href='#popup'><span>PopUp</span></a><br>
The problem is it always show the same content, example like this:
content one PopUp
content two PopUp
content three PopUp
content four PopUp
if i click content one PopUp link it will show "content one" in the colorbox although i click PopUp in content two or three or four it will always show "content one" in the colorbox, so how to fix this
I want to make if I click content one PopUp link it will show "content one", if I click content two PopUp link it will show "content two" and etc

I can solve the problem but I have to change in
I change it into like this
<a class='colorbox' href='' onclick="$.fn.colorbox({ html:'<?php echo $row["comment"]; ?>'}); return false"><span>PopUp</span></a>
but how to change onclick function into jquery ? I don't want to use onclick..
please help me
You should change the content of #popup after clicking each .colorbox . You may do this as below :
$(function(){
$(".colorbox").on('click',function(){
//do someting to change the content of #popup
//eg:
//$("#popup").html(Math.rand())
}).colorbox({
inline:true,
width: 640,
height: 480
});
});

Load new page in div

I have this div named "pachete" which generates image links(click on an image and the corresponding address from the database loads) which works I get sent to correct page but what i want is to load that page into the page where I'm at(right below the image links ) into the new_page div , not get redirected to it.The class "poza_efect" is a simple opacity effect. I have a JavaScript function but for some reason it does not work.
<script>
$('.stil_link_img').click(function () {
$('#new_page').load($(this).attr('href'));
return false;
});
</script>
<div id="pachete">
<?php $result=mysql_query( "SELECT* FROM imagini"); while($data=mysql_fetch_row($result)){ if( ($data[3]==1)&&($data[2]==2) ){ ?>
<div class="stil_link_img">
<a href="<?php echo $data[4];?>" class="poza_efect">
<img src="upload/<?php echo $data[1];?>">
</a>
</div>
<?php } }?>
</div>
<div id="new_page">//some content which should be replaced with my loaded page</div>
In your Javascript function, the reference $(this) is not pointing to the A element, but to the container DIV. Try to do it like this:
$('.stil_link_img a').click(function() ...
And also, wrap this into the $(document).ready(function() { .... }); handler to ensure that the elements are completely loaded.
The stil_link_img click event is registered before the elements are loaded, so the event is never attached. Use
$(".stil_link_img").live(..) or
attach the event after the page is loaded completely
move the .click after your loop
Also you should register the click event to the a-tag instead of the div(or if you want that, be sure to set some clickable background..)

How can set $get in same page?

<a data-toggle="modal" href="msg_id=<?php echo $id; ?>#example" class="link_comment">Comment</a>
<div id="example" class="modal" style="display: none; ">
Your message ID is :
<?php
echo $msg_id = $_GET['msg_id'];
?>
</div>
When I try to mouseover to Comment link, in status URL : I can see the msg_id value. But When I try to click the comment link (I using Jquery modal), it can't be show the value of the link.
So my question, how can I do that to make the value of msg_id show in Jquery modal.
Thanks for your help.
Since you open #example div with jquery Modal, it dosen't reload the page, hence $_GET is empty.
You can achieve what your goal in at least 2 ways:
Use Ajax to load contents of #example div when link is clicked.
<a data-toggle="modal" href="<?php echo $id; ?>#example" class="link_comment">Comment</a>
<script type='text/javascript'>
$('.link_comment').click(function(e) {
e.preventDefault();
var id = $(this).attr('href');
$.get('givemycomments.php?id='+id, function(data) {
$('#example').html(data);
});
});
</script>
Load all possible contents when page is rendered with php. For example, you would have #example_1 , #example_2 divs. When link is clicked, get value of its ID, and fire Modal with correct div. edit: after writing example code i realized that if you have lots of comments, it can be quite heavy to load em all.

How to change the backgroundPosition of a div with a onClick event from another element

How do I put this together? I'm working on this website that requires that every time that a item from the menu is clicked the background-position of two specific DIVs change and keep the selection.
Here is my attempt:
First I create a variable "p" to save on the url/address the selected page, so for example, if you are in about us you will probably see something like this on the address bar:
website.com/index.php?p=aboutus
On the menu, on the button about us I did this with a call to the function changeBG onClick:
About Us
I figured I need javascript to do the trick and here is where I'm stock.
This is the script that goes in the header:
<script type="text/javascript">
<?
// Set "p" value to HOME if previously empty.
if ($_GET['p']=='') $_GET['p']='home';
?>
function changeBg(pvalue) {
if (pvalue == '') {pvalue = '<?=$_GET['p'];?>';
}
if (pvalue=='aboutus'){
document.getElementById('this_is_the_first_to_be_changed').style.backgroundPosition=0 20px;
document.getElementById('this_is_the_other_to_be_changed').style.backgroundPosition=0 80px;
if (pvalue=='contactus'){
document.getElementById('this_is_the_first_to_be_changed').style.backgroundPosition=0 10px;
document.getElementById('this_is_the_other_to_be_changed').style.backgroundPosition=0 100px;
}
}
</script>
This is what goes on the body:
<div id="left_menu">
About Us
Contact Us
</div>
<div id="this_is_the_first_to_be_changed">
</div>
<div id="this_is_the_other_to_be_changed">
</div>
Can anyone spot why this doesn't work?
Try it using quotes:
style.backgroundPosition="0 20px";
UPDATED
Also, what about this line:
pvalue = '';
you are setting pvalue='=aboutus'
UPDATED
The script element is incorrect:
<script type="java/text">
right is:
<script type="text/javascript">
In addition use firebug or chrome to see the JS generated in the page.

get images from mysql with php jquery ajax and display them in html page inside DIVs

I am editing my question after in depth searching about my problem basically my website is a fashion display website it displays shoes cloths and bags etc now its obvious that i will be having lots of pics i was solving my problem with jquery and javascript that when a user clicks a thumbnail on the index page or he goes to the menu and clicks the shoes link javascript opens the larger image in a new tab but now i m switcing to php what i did is below
I made a mysql database having paths to the images like images/zara/thumbnails/shoes for thumbnails and images/zara/shoes for the larger images
when the user clicks on the links for ex(shoes) the link text will be grabbed by jquery like this
$(document).ready(function() {
$('ul.sub_menu a').click(function() {
var txt = $(this).text();
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'thegamer.php',
data: {'txt'}
});
});
});
Further pass it to the php file now here i m facing a problem what i need at the moment is
that how will php make search on the basis of that var txt in the database retrieve the thumbnails of the shoes open a new tab say(shoes.html) and display all the available shoes thuumbnails in divs
Here's the jquery code that should work:
<script>
$(function () {
$(document).on('click', 'div.prodcls img', function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
window.open($(this).attr('src').replace('/thumbnails', ''), '');
});
});
</script>
And some css for good measure:
<style>
div.prodcls img:hover {
cursor: pointer;
}
</style>
Here's a working fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/DenGp/
Css:
#imagePopup{ float:left; z-index:10; position: absolute;}
Add some positioning
HTML:
<div id="prodtwoid" class="prodcls">
<img src="images/thumbnail/zara/2.png" alt="ZARA"/>
</div>
<div id="prodthreeid" class="prodcls">
<img src="images/thumbnail/puma/1.png" alt="PUMA"/>
</div>
<div id="prodfourid" class="prodcls">
<img src="images/thumbnail/hermes/1.png" alt="HERMES"/>
</div>
//This is you popup div
<div id='imagePopup' style='display:none'>
</div>
JS:
$('.prodcls').click(function(){
var src = $(this).attr('src').replace('/thumbnail', '');
$("#imagePopup").html("<img src='"+src+"'/>")
$("#imagePopup").toggle();
});
Updated answer:
HTML: (give every image a link):
<a href='showImage.php?img=path/of/image.jpg'><img src='path/of/thumb.jpg'/></a>
showImage.php:
$sImagePath = $_GET['img'];
echo "<div class='imgDiv'>";
echo "<img src='$sImagePath' />";
echo "</div>;
You can open actual image in new browser tab without jQuery:
For Example:
<div id="prodoneid" class="prodcls">
<a href='images/zara1.png' target='_blank'>
<img src="images/thumbnail/zara/1.png" alt="ZARA"/>
</a>
</div>
Perhaps a lightbox is what you really need? take a look at this library: http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/
You have an error in your AJAX code (your forgo to include the actual var:
$(document).ready(function() {
$('ul.sub_menu a').click(function() {
var txt = $(this).text();
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'thegamer.php',
data: {'txt':txt} //added :txt here
});
});
});
Now in PHP:
$txt = $_GET['txt'];
//Now lookup $txt in you msyql db
//And echo the result, so JS can read it.
