Image not moved from tmp dir to another folder in linux server - php

I have designed a web site which takes image as input and by using ajax I have displayed the image.It was working fine locally but when I uploaded it into the server the image is not shown. The process that takes place is: 1)User uploads an image 2)The image is stored in a temporary folder by default 3)The image that is stored in the temporary folder is moved to a folder upload 4) The image is displayed in a div. I checked the path but it seems okay for me. I will post the code for review:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="MainStyleSheet.css" type="text/css">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="html5slider.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery.form.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function()
{
$('#file').live('change', function()
{
$("#preview").html('');
$("#preview").html('<img src="images/loader.gif" alt="Uploading...."/>');
$("#imageform").ajaxForm(
{
target: '#preview'
}).submit();
});
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
function myfunction()
{
$("#display").html('');
$("#display").html('<img src="images/loader.gif" alt="Uploading...."/>');
$("#retrieveimageform").ajaxForm(
{
target: '#display'
}).submit();
$("#tagsform").ajaxForm(
{
target: '#tags'
}).submit();
};
</script>
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
<div id="maindiv">
<div id="banner">
<?php
include 'Header.php';
?>
</div>
<div id="wrapper">
<div id="imageupload">

........................................
<div id="footer">
<?php
include 'Footer.php';
?>
</div>
</div>
<div id='screen'>
</div>
</body>
</html>
The uploadimage.php contains:
<?php
session_start();
$allowedExts=array("gif","jpeg","jpg","png");
$extension= end(explode(".", $_FILES["file"]["name"]));
if((($_FILES["file"]["type"]=="image/gif")
||($_FILES["file"]["type"]=="image/jpeg")
||($_FILES["file"]["type"]=="image/jpg")
||($_FILES["file"]["type"]=="image/png"))
&& ($_FILES["file"]["size"]<2000000)
&& in_array($extension, $allowedExts))
{
if ($_FILES["file"]["error"]>0)
{
echo "Error:".$_FILES["file"]["error"]."<br>";
}
else{
// echo "Upload: ".$_FILES["file"]["name"]."<br>";
// echo "Store in: ".$_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"]."<br>";
move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"],"upload/".$_FILES["file"]["name"]);
//echo "Stored in "."upload/".$_FILES["file"]["name"];
echo "<img src='upload/".$_FILES["file"]["name"]."' class='preview' height='300' width='250'>";
$_SESSION['img']="upload/".$_FILES["file"]["name"];
}
}
else
{
echo "Invalid file";
}
?>
In the server the image is not stored in the upload folder when the user given an input and the image is not shown. Any solutions?:Please help. The server is linux server.

The problem is with file permission.
use the following command
sudo chmod 777 absolute_path_of_you_dir
on Ubuntu.

Storing Webcam Image

I have this code to capture an image from the webcam, and I need to store it in a directory on my laptop.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Capture webcam image with php and jquery - ItSolutionStuff.com</title>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/webcamjs/1.0.25/webcam.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/twitter-bootstrap/4.1.3/css/bootstrap.min.css" />
<style type="text/css">
#results { padding:20px; border:1px solid; background:#ccc; }
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div class="container">
<h1 class="text-center">Capture webcam image with php and jquery - ItSolutionStuff.com</h1>
<form method="POST" action="storeImage.php">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-6">
<div id="my_camera"></div>
<br/>
<input type=button value="Take Snapshot" onClick="take_snapshot()">
<input type="hidden" name="image" class="image-tag">
</div>
<div class="col-md-6">
<div id="results">Your captured image will appear here...</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-12 text-center">
<br/>
<button class="btn btn-success">Submit</button>
</div>
</div>
</form>
</div>
<!-- Configure a few settings and attach camera -->
<script language="JavaScript">
Webcam.set({
width: 490,
height: 390,
image_format: 'jpeg',
jpeg_quality: 90
});
Webcam.attach( '#my_camera' );
function take_snapshot() {
Webcam.snap( function(data_uri) {
$(".image-tag").val(data_uri);
document.getElementById('results').innerHTML = '<img src="'+data_uri+'"/>';
} );
}
</script>
</body>
</html>
This is the index.php file, and the next one is the php file to save image.
<?php
$img = $_POST['image'];
$folderPath = "upload/";
$image_parts = explode(";base64,", $img);
$image_type_aux = explode("image/", $image_parts[0]);
$image_type = $image_type_aux[1];
$image_base64 = base64_decode($image_parts[1]);
$fileName = uniqid() . '.png';
$file = $folderPath . $fileName;
file_put_contents($file, $image_base64);
print_r($fileName);
?>
I have also created the 'upload' folder, but the image is still not getting saved.
I've made a folder names 'webcam' on my desktop, inside that folder are these two files, and the other folder named 'upload'.
How do i get the image to save in that folder?

Php Variable not working in UPLOAD script

I have the following script:
<?php
$userid = $_GET['user'];
// A list of permitted file extensions
$allowed = array('png', 'jpg', 'gif','zip');
if(isset($_FILES['upl']) && $_FILES['upl']['error'] == 0){
$extension = pathinfo($_FILES['upl']['name'], PATHINFO_EXTENSION);
if(!in_array(strtolower($extension), $allowed)){
echo '{"status":"error"}';
exit;
}
if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['upl']['tmp_name'], '../../'.$userid.'/assets/'.$_FILES['upl']['name'])){
echo '{"status":"success"}';
echo ' '.$userid;
exit;
}
}
echo '{"status":"error"}';
echo ' '.$userid;
exit;
?>
The problem is in this line:
if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['upl']['tmp_name'], '../../'.$userid.'/assets/'.$_FILES['upl']['name'])){
When I use this path - everything works fine and the upload is successful:
'../../assets/'.$_FILES['upl']['name']
or
'../assets/'.$_FILES['upl']['name']
or
'assets/'.$_FILES['upl']['name']
All of these three work fine - but when I add the VARIABLE from a GET (from the URL path), it does not work? I know the VARIABLE "userid" is being recognized because I am echoing out before and after the path and it displays on the screen. Also I DID set write permissions on all of the folders, as defined by the VARIABLE.
Any thoughts?

Unless you're creating a subdirectory in ../../ for each and every user manually, you need to create the directory for that user before trying to move the files to it.
if(!file_exist("../../$userid/")
mkdir("../../$userid/");
... and then you can move your file to it.

PHP not running in iFrame

Hi I am trying to make a personal code playground... I am using Code Mirror to turn into looking like an IDE (I also plan to add features of an IDE later but...). My current code is basically..
HTML (index.html)
<html>
<head>
<link href="main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<script src="http://codemirror.net/lib/codemirror.js"></script>
<link href="http://codemirror.net/lib/codemirror.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<script src="http://codemirror.net/mode/htmlmixed/htmlmixed.js"></script>
<script src="http://codemirror.net/mode/css/css.js"></script>
<script src="http://codemirror.net/mode/javascript/javascript.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="codewindow">
<form id="codePush" action="codePush.php" method="POST" target="codeResults">
<textarea id="htmlWindow"></textarea>
<textarea id="cssWindow"></textarea>
<textarea id="jsWindow"></textarea>
<input type="submit" />
</form>
<script class="code">
var htmlCodeMirror = CodeMirror(function(elt) {
htmlWindow.parentNode.replaceChild(elt, htmlWindow);
}, {value: "<!-- HTML goes here -->",
lineNumbers: true,
mode: "text"});
</script>
<script class="code">
var cssCodeMirror = CodeMirror(function(elt) {
cssWindow.parentNode.replaceChild(elt, cssWindow);
}, {value: "/* CSS goes here. */",
lineNumbers: true,
mode: "css"});
</script>
<script class="code">
var jsCodeMirror = CodeMirror(function(elt) {
jsWindow.parentNode.replaceChild(elt, jsWindow);
}, {value: "// JavaScript goes here.",
lineNumbers: true,
mode: "javascript"});
</script>
</div>
<div class="output">
<iframe id="codeResults" name="codeResults" target="codePush.php" width="100%" height="100%" frameBorder="0.5" scrolling="yes"></iframe>
</div>
</body>
PHP (codePush.php)
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
<?php
echo $_GET['cssWindow'];
?>
</style>
<script type="text/javascript">
<?php
echo $_GET['jsWindow'];
?>
</script>
</head>
<body>
<?php
echo $_GET['htmlWindow'];
?>
</body>
</html>
I have made sure the link to the iFrame works because when adding text to the PHP file in the body section it displays when submit is pressed.
I hope I have made it clear and would appreciate any help...
Just for reference I am a bit of a NOoB when it comes to PHP
I'm not entriely sure what you're trying to achieve with all the code you provided, but here's a simplified version that will fix the main issue of the code not processing in codePush.php:
<div class="codewindow">
<form id="codePush" action="codePush.php" method="POST" target="codeResults">
HTML:<textarea id="htmlWindow" name="htmlWindow"></textarea>
CSS:<textarea id="cssWindow" name="cssWindow"></textarea>
JS:<textarea id="jsWindow" name="jsWindow"></textarea>
<input type="submit" />
</form>
</div>
<div class="output">
<iframe id="codeResults" name="codeResults" target="codePush.php" width="100%" height="100%" frameBorder="0.5" scrolling="yes"></iframe>
</div>
CodePush.php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
<?php
echo $_POST['cssWindow'];
?>
</style>
<script type="text/javascript">
<?php
echo $_POST['jsWindow'];
?>
</script>
</head>
<body>
<?php
echo $_POST['htmlWindow'];
?>
</body>
</html>
Note that CodePush.php uses 'POST' not 'GET' so that it is consistent with your form. You were also missing 'name' attributes on the textareas which is what is used in the post (not the ids).
You might want to consider adding in some checks if the fields aren't complete to avoid errors etc.

php session with jqmobi getting destroyed on page reload

I am trying to use jqmobi with PHP where everything is working but when I try to use PHP session it's not working. First when I use jquery post then it will retrieve data from server but when I reload page then session is destroyed.
I have kept session_start() in every file but still of no use. So if anybody have worked with jqmobi and PHP, share your experience. I am posting my main index.php file:

The code should be sufficient, however you need to find out if session_destroy or unset($_SESSION) was called else where
<?php
session_start();
$_SESSION['key'] = "value";
?>

My audio file is not playing

I have a jplayer here to play an audio: AUDIO
Problem is that it is not playing my audio file I have. How can I get the audio to play?
The audio files comes from the directory AudioFiles/Kalimba.mp3. I retrieve the directory from the db and then tell the jsplayer to play the audio in this directory. This should have then played the audio but nothing happens if I click on the play button
