unable to connect to Google Cloud Connection Server - php

I'm trying to open a XMPP connection between my server and the Google Cloud Connection Server (CCS), but it doesn´t work. I´m programming with PHP and using the JAXL library. Here is my code:
<?php
include_once 'jaxl.php';
$client = new JAXL(array(
'jid'=>'<my_sender_ID>#gcm.googleapis.com',
'pass'=>'my_API_key',
'auth_type'=>'PLAIN',
'host' => 'gcm.googleapis.com',
'port' => '5235',
'force_tls' => true
));
$client->start();
echo "done";
?>
And then I get this error:
unable to connect tcp://gcm.googleapis.com:5235 with error no: 110, error str: Connection timed out
what am I doing wrong?

You should connect to gcm.googleapis.com by ssl, not http or tcp.
I fixed this by modifying jaxl.php from:
public function get_socket_path() {
return ($this->cfg['port'] == 5223 ? "ssl" : "tcp")."://".$this->cfg['host'].":".$this->cfg['port'];
}
to:
public function get_socket_path() {
return ($this->cfg['port'] == 5223 || $this->cfg['ssl'] == true ? "ssl" : "tcp")."://".$this->cfg['host'].":".$this->cfg['port'];
}
After that you can initialize the client with:
$client = new JAXL(array(
'jid' => '<your-API-key>#gcm.googleapis.com',
'pass' => '<your-API-key>',
'host' => 'gcm.googleapis.com',
'port' => 5235,
'force_tls' => true,
'auth_type' => 'PLAIN',
'strict' => FALSE,
'ssl' => TRUE
));

Also, when you initialize the client, use
'log_level' => JAXL_DEBUG
That will allow you to see everything that's sending or being received. In my case, I figured out that my project has not yet been whitelisted - I forgot to register it on https://services.google.com/fb/forms/gcm/
jaxl_socket_client:189 - 2013-10-04 08:11:58 - <failure xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-sasl"><temporary-auth-failure/><text xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas">Project 1012343798740 not whitelisted.</text></failure>

Perhaps you should change the host to http://gcm.googleapis.com. Your error says "unable to connect tcp://gcm.googleapis.com:5235".
GCM Cloud Connection Server (CCS) is an XMPP endpoint, running on http://gcm.googleapis.com port 5235.

problem accessing soap web service's production environment

I hope this question won't be marked as duplicate as I read many related questions and answers on the site: although I tried most of the suggestions out there I still couldn't resolve my problem.
My codebase : (I left comments on purpose to give an idea of what I have been trying so far, based on my browsing)
try {

//~mrossw 'http' => array(
//~mrossw 'user_agent' => 'PHPSoapClient'
//~mrossw ),
//~mrossw 'socket' => array('bindto' => '158.69.189.149')

$context = stream_context_create($opts);
$client = new SoapClient("https://ws_provider_hostname:xxxx/foo/bar/blah/Operaciones/OpFooBarBlahReqABCS?wsdl",
//~mrossw $client = new SoapClient($doc_root.'OpCotizadorVehiculoExtReqABCS.xml',
array(
'location' => "https://ws_provider_hostname:xxxx/foo/bar/blah/Operaciones/OpFooBarBlahReqABCS?wsdl",

)
);
} catch (Exception $e) {
echo \"<h2>Exception Error!</h2>\";
echo $e->getMessage();
// print_r($e);
}
The WS provider has an dev environment on port xxxx and a prod env on port yyyy. Hostname and path request are the same.
SoapClient instanciation and operation call work perfect in dev env.
When i change the port to fetch against prod env I get the following error:
SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'https://ws_provider_hostname:xxxx/foo/bar/blah/Operaciones/OpFooBarBlahReqABCS?wsdl' : failed to load external entity "https://ws_provider_hostname:xxxx/foo/bar/blah/Operaciones/OpFooBarBlahReqABCS?wsdl"
Provider says my public web server's IP is correctly set as allowed in their firewall. It looks right because when I tried to run the code from a different server with different IP and it fails with the same error in both dev and prod env.
When I run that code from a server inside a private network, it works in both
environment ! I don't know much about security, but this sounds to me like a security breach. I mention it here though, in case it can give a clue. I guess this is because this server has a private ip and the provider's firewall don't filter it.
When I go to https://ws_provider_hostname:xxxx/foo/bar/blah/Operaciones/OpFooBarBlahReqABCS?wsdl in my PC browser i get the correct wsdl's xml.
Do you have an idea of what can prevent the code to work form my public web server ?
Or maybe what else can I check ?
For example I couldn't find a way to check the ws server's http response code from outside my browser.
I could neither get a curl request form bash to return the wsdl xml, but that should be another question maybe.
Also let me know if i can provide any other relevant test or data.

Can't connect to RabbitMQ on Amazon MQ

I created an Amazon MQ broker:
Select broker engine: RabbitMQ 3.8.6
Single-instance broker
Network and security: Public access
VPC and subnets: Use the default VPC and subnet(s)
I have tried two libraries: from RabbitMQ manual and Enqueue\AmqpExt
Either of them cannot connect to Amazon (with docker container all works fine. But I want to try AMAZON MQ.
I used code below:
use Enqueue\AmqpExt\AmqpConnectionFactory;
use PhpAmqpLib\Connection\AMQPSSLConnection;
$connectionFactory = new AmqpConnectionFactory([
'host' => 'b-da219bXXXXXXXXXXXX86a.mq.us-east-1.amazonaws.com',
'port' => 5671,
'vhost' => '/',
'user' => 'xxxx',
'pass' => 'xxxx', // I can login with this to rabbit admin panel
'persisted' => false,
'ssl_on' => false,
'ssl_verify' => false,
]);
$c = $connectionFactory->createContext();
$queue = $c->createQueue('emails');
$c->declareQueue($queue);
Result:
Library error: connection closed unexpectedly - Potential login failure.
With 'ssl_on' => true the same error.
I don't know can it be happen because I didn't provide ssl cert to amazon.
If so, how to fix it?
I've had success with php-amqplib, and I am actually not using the newest version (I am on v2.12.3). I can connect using this:
$connection = new AMQPSSLConnection($host, $port, $user, $pass, $vhost, ['verify_peer_name' => false], [], 'ssl');
I found that I had to set 'verify_peer_name' => false, or else I just got a unable to connect to ssl://localhost:5671 (Unknown error) error, but I was also port-forwarding through localhost.
Amazon MQ broker (RabbitMQ specifically) is using SSL by default (you can notice that connection string starts with amqps, not amqp
In your case, you should set to true ssl_on and ssl_verify options
Answered by #Eugene K in a sub-comment:
You need to add the DSN to the SSLOptions array, and you need to use a AMQPSSLConnection instead of an AMQPStreamConnection
$this->connection = new AMQPSSLConnection(
'myhost.mq.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com',
'5671',
'username',
'xxx',
'/',
[
'dsn' => 'amqps:'
]
);
I see you installed amqp-ext and using it's ConnectionFactory
use Enqueue\AmqpExt\AmqpConnectionFactory; but
If you are using php-enqueue and want to connect to AWS AMQ RabbitMQ you should install and use enqueue/amqp-lib instead of enqueue/amqp-ext
and connection details
use Enqueue\AmqpLib\AmqpConnectionFactory;
new AmqpConnectionFactory([
'host' => env('RABBITMQ_HOST'),
'port' => env('RABBITMQ_PORT', 5672),
'vhost' => env('RABBITMQ_DEFAULT_VHOST'),
'user' => env('RABBITMQ_USERNAME'),
'pass' => env('RABBITMQ_PASSWORD'),
'persisted' => false,
'ssl_on' => true,
'ssl_verify' => true,
]);

Running PHP SoapServer behind a proxy

I'm attempting to run both a PHP SoapClient and a SoapServer (for Magento) behind a proxy, where the only network traffic allowed out is via the proxy server.
I have got this working with the client as so:
$client = new SoapClient('https://www.domain.co.uk/api/v2_soap/?wsdl=1', [
'soap_version' => SOAP_1_1,
'connection_timeout' => 15000,
'proxy_host' => '192.168.x.x',
'proxy_port' => 'xxxx',
'stream_context' => stream_context_create(
[
'ssl' => [
'proxy' => 'tcp://192.168.x.x:xxxx',
'request_fulluri' => true,
],
'http' => [
'proxy' => 'tcp://192.168.x.x:xxxx',
'request_fulluri' => true,
],
]
),
]);
This works as expected - all the traffic is going via the proxy server.
However, with the SoapServer class, I can't work out how to force it to send all outbound traffic via the SoapServer. It appears to be trying to load http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ directly form the network, not via the proxy, which is causing the "can't import schema from 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/'" error to be thrown.
I've tried adding a hosts file entry for schemas.xmlsoap.org to 127.0.0.1 and hosting this file locally, but I'm still getting the same issue.
Is there something I'm missing?
Try stream_context_set_default like in file_get_contents:
file_get_contents behind a proxy?
<?php
// Edit the four values below
$PROXY_HOST = "proxy.example.com"; // Proxy server address
$PROXY_PORT = "1234"; // Proxy server port
$PROXY_USER = "LOGIN"; // Username
$PROXY_PASS = "PASSWORD"; // Password
// Username and Password are required only if your proxy server needs basic authentication
$auth = base64_encode("$PROXY_USER:$PROXY_PASS");
stream_context_set_default(
array(
'http' => array(
'proxy' => "tcp://$PROXY_HOST:$PROXY_PORT",
'request_fulluri' => true,
'header' => "Proxy-Authorization: Basic $auth"
// Remove the 'header' option if proxy authentication is not required
)
)
);
//Your SoapServer here
Or try to run server in non-WSDL mode
<?php
$server = new SoapServer(null, array('uri' => "http://localhost/namespace"));
$server->setClass('myClass');
$data = file_get_contents('php://input');
$server->handle($data);

SwiftMailer Connection could not be established with host

I am getting an unexpected problem with emails being sent from my site. It had been working fine for some time and all of a sudden seems to have stopped for no apparent reason.
[Swift_TransportException] exception 'Swift_TransportException' with message 'Connection could not be established with host [Connection timed out #110]' in vendor/swiftmailer/swiftmailer/lib/classes/Swift/Transport/StreamBuffer.php:265
In my web.php
'mailer' => [
'class' => 'yii\swiftmailer\Mailer',
'transport' => [
'class' => 'Swift_SmtpTransport',
'host' => 'mail.website.com',
'username' => 'username',
'password' => 'password',
'port' => '587',
'encryption' => 'tls',
],
What could have happened for this to stop working and how should I be fixing it?
I am using google apps for my emails, but I have always used this config where I connect to my mail server. I'm not sure why it suddenly stopped working.
Same thing thing happened to me in yii , couple of days ago.Solved it by changing the port.
Try,
'port' => 26,
it's looking for the server mail.website.com but isn't able to resolve it.
use this domain smtp.gmail.com and port 25 or 465.
if (!$this->_stream = fsockopen($host, $this->_params['port'], $errno, $errstr, $timeout))
{
throw new Swift_TransportException(
'Connection could not be established with host ' . $this->_params['host'] .
' [' . $errstr . ' #' . $errno . ']'
);
}
So you either need to input a valid smtp server or wrap the send() line in a try/catch to catch the exception and either log it somewhere or ignore it.
Please checkif the port you use is really the port used by your mail server.

cakephp 2.0 smtp email

I am trying to send a email message using CakePhp 2.0. in my controller i use this code (i know it's fine, i took it from the cookbook) :
App::uses('CakeEmail', 'Network/Email');
$email = new CakeEmail("myConfig");
$email->from(array('from#example.com' => 'From Example'));
$email->to($to);
$email->subject($msgtitle);
$ok = $email->send($content);
and in app/config/email.php i have this config :
<?php
class EmailConfig {
public $myConfig = array(
'host' => 'mail.myServer.com',
'port' => 587,
'username' => 'mYaccount',
'password' => 'secret',
'transport' => 'Smtp'
);
}
?>
the problem is the server answers with :
SMTP Error: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first.
the account name is correct, as is the password. The config works when loading it up in thunderbird, the connection to the smtp server is set up as :
server name : mail.myServer.com
port : 587
connection security : STARTTLS
authentication : normal password
user name : mYaccount
Are you certain your SMTP supports tls? Try sending the ehlo command:
telnet 1.2.3.4 25
ehlo testing
You should see something like:
250-STARTTLS
in the list.
If you see it, then it is most likely not enabled. You will need to enable it. If you do not see it, you will need to add it.
public $smtp = array(
.................,
'tls' => true
);
Below code is working for me over GoDaddy server using CakePHP SMTP Email:
Email.php file inside config folder - CakePHP 2.4 MVC version:
// for Live Server GoDaddy.com domain
public $smtp = array(
'transport' => 'Smtp',
'host' => 'ssl://smtpout.asia.secureserver.net', <-- important
'port' => 465, <-- important
#'timeout' => 30,
'username' => 'no-reply#godaddy-domain.com',
'password' => 'password',
#'tls' => false,
#'log' => false,
'charset' => 'utf-8',
'headerCharset' => 'utf-8',
);
And here is the controller file code below:
// Controller Code to Send Actual Email
// email configuration
$Email = new CakeEmail('smtp');
$Email->from(array('no-reply#godaddy-domain.com' => 'App Name'))
->sender('no-reply#godaddy-domain.com', 'App Name')
->to(array($email))
->bcc(array('xyz#xyz.com'))
->subject('Test Email from GoDaddy')
->emailFormat('both')
->send($hash.'<br><strong>My</strong> message 45 قبل الميلاد، مما يجعله أكثر من');
Hope it helps !
Thanks
From the CakePHP Cookbook:
You can configure SSL SMTP servers, like GMail. To do so, put the 'ssl://' at prefix in the host and configure the port value accordingly. Example:
class EmailConfig {
public $gmail = array(
'host' => 'ssl://smtp.gmail.com',
(...)
Give the following a try:
<?php
class EmailConfig {
public $myConfig = array(
'host' => 'ssl://mail.myServer.com',
'port' => 465,
'username' => 'mYaccount',
'password' => 'secret',
'transport' => 'Smtp'
);
}
?>
Make sure your
php_openssl.dll
extension is running.
You can check it on thephp.ini file.
If you are using XAMPP php.ini should be on C:\xampp\php
php.ini:
;extension=php_oci8.dll ; Use with Oracle 10gR2 Instant Client
;extension=php_oci8_11g.dll ; Use with Oracle 11gR2 Instant Client
extension=php_openssl.dll
;extension=php_pdo_firebird.dll
