On my website I have a table with the following code:
<table width="100%" id="tabloadwar" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<?php
$subdirs = array_map('intval', scandir("/war"));
$max = max($subdirs);
for($i=1;$i<=max;$i++){ ?>
<tr>
<td width="15%"><?php echo $i; ?></td>
<td width="85%">
<?php $percorso = file("dir1/content.txt"); $line = file($percorso); echo $line?></td></tr>
<?php } ?>
</table>
Using the code above, I want to create a table that has as much rows as the count of directories in my server. By the way it is not working because I don't see anything inside my table. An example of a row is this
<tr>
<td width="15%">1</td> // i value
<td width="85%">Italy</td> //text on the 1st line of my *.txt file
</tr>
Also, instead of that name I must put the content of a file called dir1/content.txt. It is not working too because I still don't see anything. Any help?
You must muse $max instead of max here for($i=1;$i<=max;$i++){
Try this code and see what happens..
<?php
if ( !file_exists( "/war" ) ) {
echo "'/war' not exists<br />";
}
if ( !file_exists( "dir1/content.txt" ) ) {
echo "'content.txt' not exists<br />";
}
?>
<table width="100%" id="tabloadwar" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<?php
$subdirs = array_map( "intval", scandir( "/war" ) );
$max = max( $subdirs );
for( $i = 1; $i <= $max; $i++ ) {
?>
<tr>
<td width="15%"><?php echo $i; ?></td>
<td width="85%">
<?php
$lines = file( "dir1/content.txt" );
echo implode( "<br />", $lines );
?>
</td>
</tr>
<?php
}
?>
</table>
You said ....rows as the count of directories in my server...
if you want to get the count of sub folders in folder you can use glob with GLOB_ONLYDIR flag
<?php
$dirs = glob( "path/to/dir/*", GLOB_ONLYDIR );
$total_dirs = count( $dirs );
?>

quite unexperienced, any help is greatly appreciated
Just one of the rows? Remove the foreach! Just use $result[0] in place of $value. :-)
A defined number of rows? Use a for loop:
for ($x = 0; $x < $limit; $x++) {
$value = $result[$x];
// etc
}
I have a wordpress loop retriving a table like this:
I want to check if the name repeats it self and if so do a sum of partial values to show the total.
On my screenshot the 1st and 3rd rows have the same "nome" so the global value should be 85, can any one tellme how to do this ?
my php :
<?php while( have_rows('wallet_repeater') ): the_row();
echo '<div class="promotoras_item_wallet"> ';
echo '<div class="promnames_wallet"> ';
// vars
$adicionados = get_sub_field('wallet_promotora');
foreach($adicionados as $post) :
$nome = simple_fields_values("pname1");
$im = simple_fields_values("ftotop");
$cp=$adicionados ;
$imatop = $im;
$data=get_sub_field('wallet_data');
$evento=get_sub_field('wallet_evento');
$obs=get_sub_field("wallet_obs");
$numeros_horas = get_sub_field("Wallet_n_horas");
$valor_horas = get_sub_field("wallet_valorh");
$evento = get_sub_field("wallet_evento");
$horarios = get_sub_field("wallet_horario");
$total_parcial = $valor_horas * $numeros_horas."€";
$ii = wp_get_attachment_image($imatop[0]);
?>
<table id="wallet_table1" width="900px" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="0">

<tr>
<tr onmouseover="this.style.backgroundColor='#ffff66';" onmouseout="this.style.backgroundColor='#d4e3e5';">

Stuff the query data into an associative array and after that output it.
You can do it like that:
$qry = new WP_Query('post_type' => 'your_post_type', 'posts_per_page' => -1)
$arr = array();
while($qry->have_posts()) {
$qry->the_post()
$nam = //Get the name data;
$val = //Get the «global» data;
if($qry[$nam]) {
$qry[$nam]['global'] += $val;
}
else {
$qry[$nam] = array(
'foto' => //Photo data of the current post,
'name' => //Photo data of the current post,
//and so on
'global' => $val,
);
}
}
foreach($qry as $key => $data) {
//Output your table here
}
I have written some code that parses information from a .ini file into a table.
<?php
$datas = parse_ini_string(file_get_contents( 'https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=pathtoinihere' ), true);
?>
<table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5" width="100%">
<tbody class="points-cell">
<tr>
<td class="points-header"><b>Name</b></td>
<td class="points-header"><b>Points</b></td>
</tr>
<?php
foreach( $datas as $section => $data ) {
?>
<tr>
<td class="points-section"><?php echo htmlspecialchars( $section ); ?></td>
<td><?php echo htmlspecialchars( $data["Points"] ); ?></td>
</tr>
<?php
}
?>
</tbody>
</table>
Currently this exports the following:
Name | Points
name1 | 50
unwanted | 7377
name2 | 22
I want to make it so as the .ini file is parsed, the name 'unwanted' and the points related are not parsed.
The way I figure this should be done, and please correct me if I am wrong:
foreach( $datas as $section => $data ) {
if($section=="unwanted"){
$section=="";
}
This is where I get lost. Any guidance helps more than you know.
You can use the continue keyword in PHP for your unwanted items:
foreach( $datas as $section => $data ) {
if($section=="unwanted") continue;
}
If you believe this is a duplicate please let me now as I'm not totally sure what to search for to check, (I will remove if duplicate)
I have a list of of numbers in a mySql field called sess_times in a table called test_sess, the numbers for the first row are:
25, 38, 40, 50
is it possible to split these into php variable e.g:
$no1 = 25
$no2 = 38
$no3 = 40
$no4 = 50
I'm trying to put the individual numbers in a table, something like below:
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td> 1 </td>
<td><?php echo $no1; ?></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td> 2 </td>
<td><?php echo $no2; ?></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td> 3 </td>
<td><?php echo $no3; ?></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td> 4 </td>
<td><?php echo $no4; ?></td>
</tr>
</table>
Any help with this would be great so thanks in advance for any answers.
HERE'S THE SOLUTION I USED, A COMBINATION OF 2 ANSWERS BELOW:
$data = '25,38,40,50';
$string = explode(",", $data);
$number = 0;
echo '<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">';
for($i=0; $i<count($string); $i++)
{
$number = $number +1;
echo '
<tr>
<td>' . $number . '</td>
<td>' . $string[$i] . '</td>
</tr>
';
}
You can use PHP's explode function.
When you output everything, save it into a variable.
Then, $string = explode(",", $string); will produce this:
Array ( [0] => 28[1] => 38 [2] => 40 [3] => 50 )
To output this, you can then use $string[number] for each value.
You can explode them
$string="25,38,40,50";
$numbers=explode(",",$string);
print_r($numbers); // You can use them for printing like echo $numbers[0]; or 1 or 2 or 3
And if you don't want the result in an array and still want those 4 variable names you can do this
$string="25,38,40,50";
list($no1,$no2,$no3,$no4)=explode(",",$string);
This would give you the table output and it doesn't require the total amount to be known.
$data = '25,38,40,50';
$arr = explode(',', $data);
echo '<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">';
for($i=0; $i<count($arr); $i++)
{
echo '
<tr>
<td>' . $i+1 . '</td>
<td>' . $arr[$i] . '</td>
</tr>
';
}
echo '</table>';
Use explode();
ex:
$numbers='25,38,40,50';
$numbers_array= explode(",", $no);
foreach($numbers_array as $key => $number)
{
$var_name='no'.(++$key);
$$var_name=$number;
}
echo $no1.'<br>;
echo $no2.'<br>;
echo $no3.'<br>;
echo $no4.'<br>;
I'm trying to write some sort of forum homepage, based off work someone else did. Here's what I've got so far:
Forums
<?php
$crumbs = explode(",", $user['data']['depts']);
foreach ($crumbs as &$value) {
$data = $db->query("SELECT * FROM tbl_depts WHERE id = '" . $value . "'");
$crumb = $data->fetch_assoc();
$data = $db->query("SELECT * FROM tbl_forums WHERE deptid = '" . $value . "'");
$forumcount = $data->num_rows;
$forum = $data->fetch_assoc();
?>
<div class="h3top"><?php echo $crumb['name']; ?></div>
<div class="info2alt">
<?php
while (($row = $data->fetch_array()) !== FALSE) {
$forum[] = $row;
}
foreach ($forum as $row) {
if ($forumcount >= 1) {
if ($forum['lastpost'] == "") {
$forum['lastpost'] = "--";
}
?>
<div class="info4">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4">
<tr>
<td width="55%" align="left" valign="middle" class="zebraodd"><?php echo $row['name']; ?></td>
<td width="10%">Threads: <?php echo $forum['threadcount']; ?><br />Posts: <?php echo $forum['postcount']; ?></td>
<td width="35%">Last Post: <?php echo $forum['lastpost']; ?></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<?php
}
?>
<?php if ($forumcount >= 1) { ?>
<div class="info3bottom"></div>
<?php
}
}
?>
</div>
<?php
}
?>
This is the current data in the table:
Now, when I try to use this code, I get this:, such that the first one is shown so many times, however, the next one does not appear.
How do I fix this?
you want to use $value['threadcount'] etc. $forum is the array containing all the rows. i wonder that you get some output at all …
fetch_assoc() will only fetch a single row from the resultset. you'd have to use a loop to fill an array:
while(($row = $data->fetch_assoc()) !== FALSE) {
$forum[] = $row;
}
you can then iterate over your $forum array with a foreach loop:
foreach($forum as $row) {
echo htmlspecialchars($row['threadcount']);
// etc.
}
trying to fix this mess …
<?php
$crumbs = explode(",", $user['data']['depts']);
foreach ($crumbs as $crumb) { ?>
<div class="h3top"><?php echo htmlspecialchars($crumb['name']);?></div>
<?
}
$result = $db->query("SELECT * FROM tbl_forums WHERE deptid = " . (int)$id . "");
$forumcount = $result->num_rows;
while(($row = $data->fetch_assoc()) !== FALSE) {
if ($row['lastpost'] == "") { $row['lastpost'] = "--";}
?>
<div class="info2alt">
<div class="info4">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4">
<tr>
<td width="55%" align="left" valign="middle" class="zebraodd"><?php echo htmlspecialchars($forum['name']); ?></td>
<td width="10%">Threads: <?php echo htmlspecialchars($forum['threadcount']); ?><br />Posts: <?php echo htmlspecialchars($forum['postcount']); ?></td>
<td width="35%">Last Post: <?php echo htmlspecialchars($forum['lastpost']); ?></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<div class="info3bottom"></div>
<?php
}
