I need to be able to have my main page (index.php) check every 10 seconds for a change in the mysql database table 'refresh'. If the 'refresh' value is 1 it needs to refresh the page in its entirety. If the value is zero it does nothing. I would use meta-refresh but I cannot have the page always refreshing as the page has a slider and it would mess up the rotation. Please let me know what you think of! Thanks in advance!
Use AJAX to check if an update is required.

You should learn the basic how to's of AJAX before using something like jQuery when you don't even know what's going on.

Can I know with PHP that the Facebook LIKE Button is pressed?
At the same time when the LIKE Button is pressed, I'd like to run the PHP code.
You'd need to use FB.Event.subscribe for the (rather absurdly named) edge.create event to fire an AJAX call to your server.

How can I write a code that gets the current location coordinates (LLA) in my web browser using PHP .
Is it possible by using GPS via HTTP or something like that ?
please help
Thanks
You will need to use the brower's geolocation API, for example as shown here.
Then, you simply pass the parameters to a PHP script using whatever method you like, a form, or a jQuery post.
