I'm currently trying to create a button that allows me to group options based on an attribute. Since I'm no jquery wiz, I took the existing and working button "Add-all" and started modifying it in order to add only the options with a certain attribute. The following code is that intent...
this.container.find(".remove-all").click(function() {
that._populateLists(that.element.find('option').removeAttr('selected'));
return false;
});
this.container.find(".add-all").click(function() {
var options = that.element.find('option').not(":selected");
if (that.availableList.children('li:hidden').length > 1) {
that.availableList.children('li').each(function(i) {
if (jQuery(this).is(":visible")) jQuery(options[i - 1]).attr('selected', 'selected');
});
} else {
options.attr('selected', 'selected');
}
that._populateLists(that.element.find('option'));
return false;
});
this.container.find(".add-auto").click(function() {
var options = that.element.find('option').not(":selected");
if (that.availableList.children('li:hidden').length > 1) {
that.availableList.children('li').each(function(i) {
if (jQuery(this).is(":visible") && jQuery(this).has.class("auto")) jQuery(options[i - 1]).attr('selected', 'selected');
});
} else {
that.availableList.children('li').each(function(i) {
if (jQuery(this).has.class("auto")) jQuery(options[i - 1]).attr('selected', 'selected');
});
}
that._populateLists(that.element.find('option'));
return false;
});
},
I'm currently using the has.class in order to look for the attribute that i want. In this case , auto. But it's not working. I'm trying to fix the code shown on top, in order to call the attribute "auto". the label = "'+ option.attr('class')+'" is the code that generates the lable = "auto" in html.
_getOptionNode: function(option) {
option = jQuery(option);
var node = jQuery('<li class="ui-state-default ui-element " title="' + option.text() + '" data-selected-value="' + option.val() + '" label = "' + option.attr('class') + '" ><span class="ui-icon"/>' + option.text() + '<span class="ui-corner-all ui-icon"/></li>').hide();
node.data('optionLink', option);
return node;
},
Below there is an image that shows the user interface. When I inspect the AUTO: option , i have the following code...
<li class="ui-state-default ui-element ui-draggable ui-draggable-handle" title="AUTO: Car Dealers - New Cars (CARD_NEW)" data-selected-value="82" industry="auto'" style=""><span class="ui-helper-hidden"></span>AUTO: Car Dealers - New Cars (CARD_NEW)<span class="ui-corner-all ui-icon ui-icon-plus"></span></li>
I want my Add auto button to be able to move all industry = "auto" options to the left.
I am just going to base my answer on your Title
var elements = $(document).find("[data-attribute]")
that code is going to return all elements with an attribute of "data-attribute"
just change document if you want to find on specific places like inside of div#Header ... also change data-attribute to what you want like industry or title or even data-selected-value
i am trying to build a small single page wordpress theme, but struggling to find a way to make the navigation menu work.
The pages are loaded with this function: http://pastebin.com/Di5MhS8y . Each page is displayed as a section of my homepage, based on its menu_order.
If i make a custom menu voice linking outsite my website (tried with www.google.com) the menu works just fine.
Problems arise when i try to link to a single section of my website. The whole page gets reloaded and i'm brought back at the top of it.
I reckon i should maybe give a specific id to each section, and link to it, but i'm not sure. Any suggestion would be super appreciated!
The best way would be to give each section an ID.
if you want clean URLS you can create a function with Jquery
here's one i used in a one page website
var locationPath = filterPath(location.pathname);
var scrollElem = scrollableElement('html', 'body', 'document', 'window');
//console.log(scrollElem);
$('a[href*=#]').each(function() {
var thisPath = filterPath(this.pathname) || locationPath;
if ( locationPath == thisPath
&& (location.hostname == this.hostname || !this.hostname)
&& this.hash.replace(/#/,'') ) {
var $target = $(this.hash), target = this.hash;
if (target) {
//console.log('Target: ' + target + ' offset: ' + targetOffset);
$(this).click(function(event) {
var targetOffset = $target.offset().top;
event.preventDefault();
$(scrollElem).animate({scrollTop: targetOffset}, 1000, function() {
//console.log($(scrollElem).scrollTop());
location.hash = target;
$(scrollElem).animate({scrollTop: targetOffset}, 0);
});
});
}
}
});
// use the first element that is "scrollable"
function scrollableElement(els) {
for (var i = 0, argLength = arguments.length; i <argLength; i++) {
var el = arguments[i],
$scrollElement = $(el);
if ($scrollElement.scrollTop()> 0) {
return el;
} else {
$scrollElement.scrollTop(1);
var isScrollable = $scrollElement.scrollTop()> 0;
//console.log(el + ': ' + $scrollElement.scrollTop());
$scrollElement.scrollTop(0);
if (isScrollable) {
return el;
}
}
}
return 'body';
}
I am really confused how i managed these things.Please look at the attached image.See the right panel area.
Starting from first, package name is coming from last page; let's say page1.php. Now assume this attached image is page2.php.I am able to grab the selected checkbox values from left hand side and it is posting on right hand side.See i have checked the video checkbox.I have used jquery for that.
Problem 1 if i refresh the page values disappear except package value.I want the all checkbox value from right panel whatever user checked and post it to page3.php for further usage.I dont think jquery will do.I used the ajax post but cant able to grab values from below code.kindly help him regarding this.
Image link http://s7.postimage.org/3zbf1ucwb/image.jpg
function refreshPrices() {
var beg=<?php echo isset($beg) ? $beg : 0 ?>;
var inte=<?php echo isset($int) ? $int : 0 ?>;
var advn=<?php echo isset($adv) ? $adv : 0 ?>;
var currentTotalValue = 0;
currentTotalValue = currentTotalValue + beg + inte + advn;
$("#results div").each(function() {
if (!isNaN(parseInt($(this).find("span").text().substring(1)))) {
currentTotalValue += parseInt($(this).find("span").text().substring(1));
}
});
$("#totalValue").text("$" + currentTotalValue)
}
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#1').click(function() {
//var row = $(this);
if (($(this).attr('checked')) == 'checked') {
$('#result').append("-PDF Document <html><span style=float:right>$100</span></html>");
}
else {
$('#result').text("");
}
refreshPrices()
});
$('#2').click(function() {
if (($(this).attr('checked')) == 'checked') {
$('#result2').append("-Video <html><span style=float:right>$200</span></html> ");
}
else {
$('#result2').text("");
}
refreshPrices()
});
});
$(this).attr('checked') returns true or false, not 'checked', so you need to do :
if ( $(this).prop(':checked') ) { --- }
or just
if ( this.checked ) {
$('#result').append("-PDF Document <html><span style=float:right>$100</span></html>");
}
Also, you should'nt be using just a number as an ID, change it to #a1 etc. and you do realize that <html> tags are the start and end of the document, and appending them to an element inside the DOM does really seem like a great idea.
I used MooDialog.iframe and onClose i need some values. But not able to fetch values from that iFrame and want to use in the page i opened this frame in popup.
The function/code i used for popup is below:
function popup_window() {
var hostname = location.protocol + "//" + location.hostname + (location.port && ":" + location.port) + "/";
var opcion = "crear";
co2=new MooDialog.IFrame(hostname+'infinity/contabilidad/cuenta%20crear/popup_window.php?action=2',
{
title: 'Editar Centro','class' : 'content_edit1 MooDialog',
onClose: function()
{
/////////alert(document.getElementById('numero_cuenta').value);
//numero_cuenta is something i want
location.reload();
}
}
);
}
numero_cuenta is the id of the input.text of the popup iframe.
I found the solution:
From the popup_window.php file get the element by id via frame. We need to use the following code:
onClose: function()
{
var myIFrame = document.getElementById("MooFrame");
var content = myIFrame.contentWindow.document.getElementById('abcd').value;
alert('content: ' + content);
location.reload();
}

I am new to Jquery and ajax.
I need to upload multiple images to server folder and store the details in a db table. After uploading, I need to display all images which set as 'active' in database.( I have looked into many codes which are not working for me)
After that I need to drag some images to an area and also need to store dragged images information in an another table.
Anyone have any idea?Please help me?
Thanks
Nowadays Dropzone.js is the best js plugin to upload multiple images using drag and drop.
official site. https://www.dropzonejs.com/
A complete example of the demo is here.

For uploading multiple images you can use this script. By using single browse button you can upload multiple images
$(function(){
var btnUpload=$('#photo_0'); // id of browse button
new AjaxUpload(btnUpload, {
action: 'url_to_upload_function',
name: 'uploadfile',
onSubmit: function(file, ext){
if (! (ext && /^(jpg|png|jpeg|gif|JPG|PNG|GIF|JPEG)$/.test(ext))){
$("#photo_div1").html('Only JPG,PNG,GIF files are allowed'); //
return false;
}
var path="<?=base_url()?>images/wait.gif"; //losding image
$("#photo_div1").html("<img src="+path+" width='32' height='32' style='border:#b6b6b6 solid 1px;'>");
},
onComplete: function(file, response){
response = jQuery.trim(response);
if(response=="error")
{
$("#photo_error").css("display","block");
$("#upload_photo1").html("");
}
else if(response!="error")
{
$("#photo_error").css("display","none");
$("#photo_div1").html("");
var path="uploads/"+response; //echo the image name from the upload function
var img="<table><tr><td ><img src="+path+" style='border:#b6b6b6 solid 1px;'></td></tr></table>";
$("#img_div1").html(img);// display the image in a div it will display only one image. If you want to add more you can code according to that by using append or something like that
$("#upload_photo1").val(response);
$("#photo_hid1").val(response);
} else
{
alert("error");
}
}
});
});

and for drag and drop you need to write another function for that you can refer this site or this
http://www.plupload.com/example_queuewidget.php
Here you can find a nice plugin that will help you to upload multiple images.I have used this and works well for me.
