I'm using php library mpdf for generating pdf files from HTML content. For short paragraph text mpdf is working normally but when there is more than one page long content mpdf is generating pdf file within a single page with very small font. It doesn't worked when I gave sufficient font-size.
Is there any parameter that can be set for page break in mpdf ?
Please use <div> instead of using <table>. MPDF will shrink the content inside <tr> <td> to o

I am using MPDF. My content of the page is dynamic. So even if the content enhances it doesn't make a page break. Rather the content shrinks and font size becomes smaller.
$mpdf = new \Mpdf\Mpdf();
$mpdf->SetDisplayMode('default');
$mpdf->WriteHTML($htmldata);
$mpdf->Output($name,"D");
Here $htmldata is my dynamic long html variable. Here's the sample of the pdf

mPDF resizes tables so that their parts fit the page.
See https://mpdf.github.io/troubleshooting/resizing.html
Use <table autosize="0"> to prevent most of this behaviour.
I am working on PDF generation using the MPDF library into a Drupal 8 project.
I am planning to put the table of contents (TOC) inside a <div> on the first page of my PDF.
For that, I created a <tocentry> tags and put the <tocpagebreak /> into my <div> of the first HTML page.
Unfortunately, the TOC is generated in a new page (i.e., page break is happening before and after the TOC).
How can I generate the TOC within my custom HTML structure and include it into my <div>?
By default the TOC goes at the bottom, but you can modify its position manually.
In mPDF's docs there's a nice example in which the TOC is before the content:
$mpdf = new \Mpdf\Mpdf();
$mpdf->WriteHTML('Introduction');
$mpdf->TOCpagebreak();
$mpdf->TOC_Entry("Chapter 1", 0);
$mpdf->WriteHTML('Chapter 1 ...');
$mpdf->Output();
Notice that TOCpagebreak() is invoked before TOC_Entry (the function that adds the entry to the TOC) and before WriteHTML('Chapter 1 ...'). This latter function adds content to the PDF.
By placing TOCpagebreak() before those functions, you make the TOC appear before the contents.
For more details, see mPDF docs on TOCpagebreak()
I am working with laravael,I have an HTML view that has CSS integrated. I want to convert into a PDF. If I open the view (it doesn't mather if I open it via my Documents or by a link in my app) it works fine, everything looks ok. But if I get that file and generate a PDF with dompdf, when I open it the css for the background and the images are in their places but the texts change places and have another size.
Here is how I convert it to a PDF
$file = file_get_contents("../resources/views/panel/historial/pdfs/otros.html");
$dompdf = new DOMPDF();
$dompdf->loadHtml($file);
//$dompdf->load_html_file($html);
$dompdf->render();
$dompdf->stream("otros.pdf", array("Attachment" => 0));
return $dompdf;
enter image description here
I think that is not working in that way to except then the DOMPDF-Renderer has not the full CSS functionality.

Here is a list of elements that are supported. So in your case i would suggest that you render a new template and make it with a different style for your PDF.
Another good solution is wkhtmltopdf which has a better support but is a command line tool which you have to call over php or if you don't need PHP then run it directly from your command line.

I am generating pdf from html source using mpdf library in php and everything seems working perfect.
Now I have an issue with the images. Suppose before page end I'm inserting an image but image is big so that it doesn't fit at the bottom of first page and goes to second page. Now I have a long white space at the end of first page because image moved to second page.
Now I want is "if next item to insert in pdf is an image then calculate the remaining size of pdf page if it is less than Image size then adjust the image size so that image can be fit in the pdf page instead of moving to next page" how can i do this here?
Please check the issue image :
If any one has other solution please help me to sort out.
Here's My sample code
include_once 'simple_html_dom.php'; //import html dom and mpdf library
include 'PDFScript/MPDF/mpdf.php';
$mpdf = new mPDF('','','','',15,15,30,15,8,8); //create mpdf object
$html = new simple_html_dom(); //create html dom object
$html = file_get_html("htmlsource.html"); //htmlsource.html is a webpage can contain any html data
$mpdf->WriteHTML($html); //write html source to pdf
$mpdf->Output(); //generate pdf
I got a solution from mpdf forum itself. If Anyone also has the same problem enclose every image in your html inside table as table has a autosize feature in mpdf library.

I'm using FPDF to create an A4 sized PDF, I can add text/images and this is working fine. I have a dynamically generated string which contains some HTML tags (BR etc) and was wondering how I can have that output onto the PDF as opposed to literally printing the tags out.
$centre = urldecode($row_CertDetails['centre_name']);
$pdf->Text(10, 110, $centre);
I've seen on some forums people mentioning WriteHTML, however my version of FPDF doesn't seem to include that.
Is it an add-on?
Yes, it is an Add-On:
Write HTML
Author: Clément Lavoillotte
License: FPDF
This is an enhancement of the WriteHTML() method from tutorial 6. Supported tags are: ...
Please see Write HTML FPDF Script #42 which I think is the latest version, but feel free to browse the FPDF scripts/Add-Ons.
I've solved it anyway.
Because I'm also using FPDI, what I did was extract the contents of the class in http://www.fpdf.org/en/script/script42.php and put it inside the FPDI.php file.
