Where is mistake? I try to connect to database from php script. I am getting the error that database is unknown. Database for sure exists, i can see this from PhpMyAdmin.
I use XAMPP v3.2.1 with mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev and php v5.5.9.
Script file debug1.php in folder c:\xampp\htdocs:
$conn=mysqli_connect( 'localhost', 'root', '', $vdbname ) or die( "cannot connect to server".mysqli_error() );
When i run this file from browser windows using url: "localhost/debug1.php" i am getting error message:
Warning: mysqli_connect(): (HY000/1049): Unknown database 'gintare_calendar' in C:\xampp\htdocs\debug1DBconn.php on line 5
You may want to look for whitespace in database name. From phpMyAdmin go to database Operation sections and see if white space has been added in front or after database name.
This means the database you want to connect to is not called "gintare_calendar".
Open your MySQL administration package (phpmyadmin) and verify the actual name of the database you want to connect to.
I am sorry, i forget that i reinstalled XAMPP. It is true. There is no database. I have to create the database, import previous tables and than everything works again.

Using Ajax integrated chat with PHPBB3. It is supposed to use the mysql connections that the site uses. The database tables have been created. When accessing, I continue to get the error
'>[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/di/container_builder.php on line 291: file_put_contents([ROOT]/chat/../cache/container_[ROOT]/chatslashdotdotslash.php): failed to open stream: Invalid argument Error-Report: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Error-Code: 2002'
Edit: I have not had any trouble connecting to the database with the web application itself. I've read that the hosts file may need to be edited. I made sure that the socket server option for AJAX chat is set to false. I'm not sure what this error is actually trying to say here or what the actual connection error is. Can someone point me in the right direction?
The php class container_builder is where the error falls. Here is the function being called at that point:
protected function dump_container($container_filename)
{
$dumper = new PhpDumper($this->container);
$cached_container_dump = $dumper->dump(array(
'class' => 'phpbb_cache_container',
'base_class' => 'Symfony\\Component\\DependencyInjection\\ContainerBuilder',
));
file_put_contents($container_filename, $cached_container_dump);
I cleared out the particular cache file, which was then recreated, but the error does not go away. I would think there is no problem with connectivity to the database by the application. Cache is stored on the server not the database.
When I launch the website through local host, I get the following error:
Database Error: Unknown database 'db_name'
I'm having a dig around as to what the problem is. The website belongs to a friend of mine and he wants me to connect the website to the database. The database resides within the root directory. I'm merely trying to connect to it.
In most of the PHP files, there is a tag that includes the config file which contains the details of the database.
Any ideas as to how I can get it working and resolve the Database Error: Unknown database 'db_name' error?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Database should not reside in root directory, it should be imported to database (Mysql) server.
Check in Mysql databases, does your database resides there?
If not, you can do so by phpMyAdmin or navigating to your mysql and importing it.
Create database in mysql and import the sql file as below by opening command-line terminal:
/path/to/mysql/bin > mysql -u username -p < /path/to/root/db.sql
I have a website that runs in Windows server, and it works perfectly fine. I tried to make a copy in my localhost but I get the error:
Warning: odbc_connect() [function.odbc-connect]: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified, SQL state IM002 in SQLConnect in C:\xampp\htdocs\tdms\webfolders\secured\db_fns.php on line 29

if (!$result) // cannot establish connection to database
throw new Exception('Could not connect to database server');
else // connection to database has been established
return $result;
}
I am really new to odbc. the website is written in php and the database that i use in mySQL. though i figured that the database that it is trying to connect is a microsoft access MDE file. (i checked in the site in windows server.) What should i do? im sorry but i am really
It's likely the shortcut for setting ODBC data sources is pointing to the 32bit data sources instead of 64bit.
Go to control panel -> administrative tools --> select data sources(ODBC) --> then right click on that file --> go to properties --> in the shortcut tab -> change the path from
%windir%\System32\odbcad32.exe
to
%windir%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
and make your connection. the driver for MS Access will work fine now.
If it doesnt work, try to connect to the ODBC with a sentence like this:
$conn = odbc_connect("Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\YourFolder\YourFile.mdb",'Youruser', 'YourPassword');
The last 2 leave then just the the '' if you dont have any user or password
I was getting the same error on PHP 7.0.8 64bit while trying to connect to an Access .mdb.
I had to do two things:
Install the 64bit version of "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable" (even with Access 2016 installed I was getting your error). You can download the driver from:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
Then, if you go to the ODBC Data Source Administrator, you should notice the 64bit version.
Change the driver string to:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)}
Hope it helps other people.
I'm completely new to the Akelos framework, but I am familiar with PHP. When I came across the framework I knew it was exactly what I was looking for but for the life of me I cannot get it to install properly.
Here are the steps that I went through and the details of my environment:
I am on a Mac Intel, using MAMP as my main environment
I have copied the Akelos files into my project folder.
When I navigate to localhost:8888 (as setup by mamp) I first get this error message:
(Warning) Cannot modify header
information - headers already sent by
(output started at
/Users/Salman/Work/_PERSONAL
PROJECTS/Web
Development/PHP_Development/SPM/public/index.php:50)
But when I refreshed the page that warning disappears and I successfully obtain the Akelos Getting Started page
I setup the database configuration, and proceed
I successfully set the language settings
First I get the following error:
(User Error) Could not create or alter
table akelos_migrations using the SQL
CREATE TABLE akelos_migrations ( id
INTEGER NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, name
VARCHAR(255), version
INTEGER, updated_at
DATETIME, created_at
DATETIME,
PRIMARY KEY (id) )TYPE=InnoDB
When I refresh - everything "appears" to work fine and I am taken to to the "Welcome Aboard" page
When I try to run Script / Generate I get the following message:
Warning: mysql_connect(): [2002] No
such file or directory (trying to
connect via

This happens even if I try to manually create the akelos_migrations table using phpMyAdmin and SQL.
I would love to be able to use this framework - but I absolutely can't get past this!
Well the mysql socket file isnt usually in /var/mysql/mysql.sock on OS X. If you use the Mysql install from Mysql then its in /tmp/mysql.sock by default... The macports version is in /opt/local/var/run/mysql5/mysqld.sock by default. Im not sure where it is in MAMP because i dont use it, but my guess would be somewhere on the MAMP folder structure. You need to find out where it creates its socket and supply the path to it to your conifguration (i assume thats an option on the DB setup screen).
I have created a wine shop in PHP that accesses a MySQL database and pulls the wines data onto a webpage. However, after getting it all working nicely I have now come across a PDO Construct error and do not know why.
The error is as follows:
Warning: PDO::__construct() [pdo.--construct]: [2002] A connection
attempt failed because the connected party did not (trying to connect
via HOSTNAME) in C:\webdev\shop\selectfromwines.php on line 5
It seems to relate to the following piece of code:
$database = new PDO('mysql:host=HOSTNAME; dbname=co525', 'co525', 'co525');
Any ideas where I might be going wrong?
P
is HOSTNAME real host name? If not - use correct address. If you have local db, try 127.0.0.1 or localhost
Open your php.ini and set the following:
pdo_mysql.default_socket=”/opt/lampp/var/mysql/mysql.sock”
