This is my youtube tube URL which is coming from facebook Id. I have fetch this url using FQL Query in facebook in Zend Framework
This is my url = "http://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=AbE6fYtNaa4&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNbyHNASFi6U%26feature%3Dshare"
Now I need to fetch its ID so that I can pass it to this code so that i can generate its vidoe details.
function listYoutubeVideo($id) {
$video = array();
try {
$yt = new Zend_Gdata_YouTube();
$videoEntry = $yt->getVideoEntry($id);
$videoEntry = $yt->getQueryUrl($id);
$videoThumbnails = $videoEntry->getVideoThumbnails();
$video = array(
'thumbnail' => $videoThumbnails[0]['url'],
'title' => $videoEntry->getVideoTitle(),
'description' => $videoEntry->getVideoDescription(),
'tags' => implode(', ', $videoEntry->getVideoTags()),
'url' => $videoEntry->getVideoWatchPageUrl(),
'flash' => $videoEntry->getFlashPlayerUrl(),
'dura' => $videoEntry->getVideoDuration(),
'id' => $videoEntry->getVideoId()
);
} catch (Exception $e) {
echo $e->getMessage();
exit();
}
return $video;
}
So I just need to find its youtube ID from youtube URL in Zend Framework. Plz provide me solutions. Is there any method exist in "Zend_Gdata_YouTube" class from where i can get its ID form passing its youtube URL
You have unique video ID. In your case (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbyHNASFi6U&feature=share) ID equals NbyHNASFi6U.
$url = 'http://www.youtube.com/attribution_link?a=AbE6fYtNaa4&u=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNbyHNASFi6U%26feature%3Dshare';
$url = urldecode($url);
$query_string = end(explode('?',$url));
parse_str($query_string);
$videoID = $v;
print $videoID;
// OUTPUT
NbyHNASFi6U
The video watch page URL always has this format:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXXX
where XXXXXXXXXXX is a unique video ID consisting of 11 letters and numbers (and, if memory serves, hyphens and underscores).
public function get_id($url)
{
$ytshorturl = 'youtu.be/';
$ytlongurl = 'www.youtube.com/watch?v=';
if (strpos($url, $ytshorturl) !== false) {
$url = str_replace($ytshorturl, $ytlongurl, $url);
}
$components = parse_url($url);
parse_str($components['query'], $results);
return $results['v'];
}
$url = "https://youtu.be/oeg192rQ1xE"; //sample url
print(get_id($url));

I have a video exist on my server,
I need to post that video on Facebook using Graph API.
Here is the code suggested by Team Facebook.
What I am doing is as below.
1) From an Android device I am getting an access token
2) Recognizing user by passing that access token to Facebook and get email id and through email id recognize user
3) Posting user's video from my server to Facebook through Graph API.
4) Returning a video id to android device as an API response.
I am approaching this route because in Android device it is 2 step process to post video on Facebook.
1) Download the video first
2) Post to Facebook
This is time consuming.
Here is the code that I am trying

Reference : How to POST video to Facebook through Graph API using PHP
I don't know why the info about configurations
$config['fileUpload'] = true;
$config['cookie'] = true;
is not mentioned at below official docs of APIs
https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/493/
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.0/user/videos#publish
However solution given above, worked fine for me.
file is not a valid parameter. Instead of parameter file, use source.

I spent my last 5 hours in this issue and finally I came here for the solution.
I am doing log-in using twitter functionality in my site (Zend Framework + PHP) and everything is working fine. But I am facing the following issue in it:
If the user has no tweets (0 tweets) in his account then the
$tweets = json_decode($response->getBody());
echo "<pre>";
print_r($tweets);
exit;
Its showing me blank array. i.e. : Array(); :-(
And if I am adding some tweets there in twitter account then its showing me the complete array along with user information like display name, image, etc...like this:
Array
(
//other data
[0] => stdClass Object
(
[user] => stdClass Object
....
....
so on..
)
)
Following is my code :
public function twitterregisterAction() {
$path = realpath(APPLICATION_PATH . '/../library/');
set_include_path($path);
session_start();
require $path . "/Zend/Oauth/Consumer.php";
$config = array(
"callbackUrl" => "http://" . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . "/register/twittercallback",
"siteUrl" => "http://twitter.com/oauth",
"consumerKey" => "xxxxxxxxxxxxx",
"consumerSecret" => "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
);
$consumer = new Zend_Oauth_Consumer($config);
// fetch a request token
$token = $consumer->getRequestToken();
// persist the token to storage
$_SESSION["TWITTER_REQUEST_TOKEN"] = serialize($token);
// redirect the user
$consumer->redirect();
}
/*
* Ticket id #16
* twittercallbackAction method
*/
public function twittercallbackAction() {
$config = array(
"callbackUrl" => "http://" . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . "/register/twittercallback",
"siteUrl" => "http://twitter.com/oauth",
"consumerKey" => "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",
"consumerSecret" => "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
);
$consumer = new Zend_Oauth_Consumer($config);
if (!$this->_getParam("denied")) {
if (!empty($_GET) && isset($_SESSION['TWITTER_REQUEST_TOKEN'])) {
$token = $consumer->getAccessToken($_GET, unserialize($_SESSION['TWITTER_REQUEST_TOKEN']));
} else {
// Mistaken request? Some malfeasant trying something?
exit('Invalid callback request. Oops. Sorry.');
}
// save token to file
// file_put_contents('token.txt', serialize($token));
$client = $token->getHttpClient($config);
$client->setUri('https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?');
$client->setMethod(Zend_Http_Client::GET);
$client->setParameterGet('name');
$client->setParameterGet('profile_image_url');
$response = $client->request();
$tweets = json_decode($response->getBody());
$session = new Zend_Session_Namespace("userIdentity");
Zend_Session::rememberMe(63072000); //2years
$session->tw_id = $tweets[0]->user->id;
$session->tw_name = $tweets[0]->user->name;
$session->tw_image = $tweets[0]->user->profile_image_url;
if ($session->tw_id != "") {
$tw_id = $session->tw_id;
//Calling the function twitterAuthAction for email authentication
$twAuthArr = $this->twitterAuthAction($tw_id);
if ($twAuthArr['socialId'] == $tw_id) {
$session->userId = $twAuthArr['id'];
$session->email = $twAuthArr['emailId'];
$this->_redirect('/profile/showprofile');
} else {
$user = new UserRegistration();
$firstname = "";
$lastname = "";
$password = "";
$socialtype = "twitter";
$email = "";
$socialid = $session->tw_id;
$result = $user->registerUser($firstname, $lastname, $socialid, $socialtype, $email, $password);
$session->userId = $result;
$this->_redirect('/register');
}
}
$this->_redirect("/register");
} else {
$this->_redirect("/register");
}
}
My Questions are :
1) Why its not providing user array if there is no any tweet in my twitter account (or newly created twitter account)
2) I want user profile details from twitter account. How can I get it?
Need Help. Thanks
I think as per david's answer you need to use users/show url there instead of using statuses/user_timeline. You can use curl for requesting url so you'll get the response which contains the users information.
Try with following code:
$user_id = $client->getToken()->getParam('user_id');
$trends_url = "http://api.twitter.com/1/users/show.json?user_id=".$user_id;
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $trends_url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
$curlout = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
$response = json_decode($curlout, true);
$session = new Zend_Session_Namespace("userIdentity");
Zend_Session::rememberMe(63072000); //2years
$session->tw_id = $response['id'];
$session->tw_name = $response['name'];
$session->tw_image = $response['profile_image_url'];
Try this. Hope it will help you.
I think you are misreading the Twitter API docs for the statuses/user_timeline endpoint.
The field user that you identify is one of the fields within a returned tweet. If the user id to which you point has no tweets, then there will be no entries in the returned array, hence no user field.
If you need the user information even in the absence of any tweets, then you probably need to hit the users/show endpoint.
Can anyone shed some light on my problem?
<?php
$config = array();
$config['appId'] = "foo";
$config['secret'] = "bar";
$config['cookie'] = true;
$config['fileUpload'] = true;
$facebook = new Facebook($config);
$eventParams = array(
"privacy_type" => $this->request->data['Event']['privacy'],
"name" => $this->request->data['Event']['event'],
"description" => $this->request->data['Event']['details'],
"start_time" => $this->request->data['Event']['when'],
"country" => "NZ"
);
//around 300x300 pixels
//I have set the permissions to Everyone
$imgpath = "C:\\Yes\\Windows\\Path\\Photo_for_the_event_app.jpg";
$eventParams["#file.jpg"] = "#".$imgpath;
$fbEvent = $facebook->api("me/events", "POST", $eventParams);
var_dump($fbEvent); //I get the event id
I also have this in my "scope" when the user is asked to Allow the app to post on his behalf: user_about_me,email,publish_stream,create_event,photo_upload
This works. It creates the event with all the details I have specified. EXCEPT for the event image.
I have been to most of Stackoverflow posts related to my problem but all of them are not working for me. (EG: https://stackoverflow.com/a/4245260/66767)
I also do not get any error.
Any ideas?
THanks!
Yes, the idea is that Facebook has bug.
I have problems with event picture as well. The topic in tracker and this is my post on stackOverflow
Btw, you can try this code after creating the event ->
public function uploadFacebookEventPicture($fullPath, $eventId) {
$mainImage = '#' . $fullPath;
$imgData = array(
'picture' => $mainImage
);
try {
$data = $this->facebook->api('/'.$eventId, 'post', $imgData);
return $data;
} catch (FacebookApiException $e) {
error_log('Failed to attach picture to event. Exception: ' . $e->getMessage());
}
return null;
}
Maybe it will work for you, for me it stopped to work since Facebook issue was discovered.
Here is the code:
$file= 'bbbb.jpg';
$data = array(
basename($file) => "#".realpath($file),
"caption" => "Uploaded using graph api",
"aid" => '13595',
"access_token" => $accessToken,
'method' => 'photos.upload'
);
$sds =$facebook->api($data);
This is the error
Uncaught CurlException: 26: failed creating formpost data
What to do?
Here are some various ways to upload photos using the Graph API. The examples assume you've instantiated the $facebook object and have a valid session for the current user.
1 - Default Application Album of Current User
This example will upload the photo to your default application album of the current user. If the album does not yet exist it will be created.
$args = array('message' => 'Photo Caption');
$args['image'] = '#' . realpath($FILE_PATH);
$data = $facebook->api('/me/photos', 'post', $args);
print_r($data);
2 - Target Album
This example will upload the photo to a specific album.
$args = array('message' => 'Photo Caption');
$args['image'] = '#' . realpath($FILE_PATH);
$data = $facebook->api('/'. $ALBUM_ID . '/photos', 'post', $args);
print_r($data);
3 - Target Album with Access Token
This example will upload a photo to a specific album which requires an access token.
$args = array('message' => 'Photo Caption');
$args['image'] = '#' . realpath($FILE_PATH);
$data = $facebook->api('/'. $ALBUM_ID . '/photos?access_token='. $ACCESS_TOKEN, 'post', $args);
print_r($data);
your $data array should have "message" instead of "caption",
also, remove "aid", "method", and "access_token"
your $data has to have the file data and "message", that is it.
$sds =$facebook->api('/me/13595/photos', 'POST', $data);
where instead of 13595 just use the variable with the album aid
also, if needed, access_token is best appended to api uri like this:
$sds =$facebook->api('/me/13595/photos?access_token='.$access_token, 'POST', $data);
also, if the php sdk doesn't work for you, I have successfully used cURL instead if your php installation supports it. in that case see cURL example at Upload Photo To Album with Facebook's Graph API
The latest version of the Facebook PHP SDK wont work with the above examples without the following update to the code.
class Facebook {
...
*Line #539*
protected function makeRequest($url, $params, $ch=null) {
if (!$ch) {
$ch = curl_init();
}
if( isset($params['doMultiPart']) ) {
$doMultiPart= true;
unset($params['doMultiPart']);
} else {
$doMultiPart= false;
}
$opts = self::$CURL_OPTS;
$opts[CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS] = $doMultiPart ? $params : http_build_query($params, null, '&');
...
Basically the problem is that the PHP SDK uses "curl_setopt_array" which if you pass it a url encoded string as the option value it will pass the data as application/x-www-form-urlencoded when what you really want is multipart/form-data; to do this we simply switch to passing in the array of options if we have a param of doMultiPart in the params array.
This was a quick hack I put together to get something working, probably need to review the code to make sure it doesnt break anything else you are doing. Otherwise enjoy.
