Figuring out function arguments of a webservice function - php

For reasons beyond my control, I'm forced to use NuSoap instead of SOAP to make a request to a webservice.
After some searching, I found SOAP's __getFunctions() equivalent in NuSoap. The part where I'm stuck now is to figure out in what format are the parameters expected by the webservice's function.

So now that I know the function names (GetGeoIP and GetGeoIPContext), I'm struggling to find out what parameters do I need to pass to those functions.
I'm guessing $params = array('parameters' => $parameters); is the part I should be interested in, but that isn't giving the complete picture.
So in short, is there SOAP's __getTypes() equivalent in NuSoap?

You can use SoapUI to get an example of the request.
If you create a new project with your url endPoint (WSDL) you can get all the soapCalls. With it is more easy to understand the types define in the WSDL.

Build correct SOAP Request Header (PHP)

I have to do requets to a SOAP API with PHP and I need the following SOAP-Header structure:

the solution could be object driven. In the following code an example is given. Please keep in mind, that the following code is not testet.

The above shown class is a simple entity, which contains two properties $user fpr the username and $pw for the password. Further it contains the getter and setter functions for retrieving or setting the values for the two properties.
For the next step just fill the class with data and store it in a SoapVar object.

As you can see above, your authentication class will be stored as soap var object. It is encoded as soap object. The only thing you have to do is setting the namespace for this object. In your given example it is ver:. With this namespace prefix somewhere in your wsdl file a namespace is noted. You have to find out this namespace url and just replace the example url http://www.example.com/namespace with the right url noted in your wsdl.
The next step is setting this as soap header. That 's quite simple.

As you can see it 's a bit different from your given example. Instead of an array it 's the soap encoded authentication object, that is given to the soap header class. For failure purposes there is a try/catch block around your soap client. In that case you can identify the error and if the client was initiated correctly, you can also see the last request and last response in xml.

I would strongly advise you 2 things:
Use a WSDL to PHP generator in order to properly construct your request. In addition, it will ease you the response handling. Everything is then using the OOP which is much better. Take a look to the PackageGenerator project.
Use the WsSecurity project in order to easily add your dedicated SoapHeader without wondering how to construct it neither.

Created Request using die() also dies the Request caller

I don't know if it's the right terms to employ...
I made an API, in which the answer is sent by the die() function, to avoid some more useless calculations and/or functions calls.

I know I could just use returns, but I was always wondering if there were any other solutions. I mean, I want to be better, so I wouldn't ask this question if I knew for sure that the only way of doing what I want is using returns.
So it seems that you are calling an API endpoint through your code as if it is coming from the browser(client) and I am assuming that your Route:dispatch is not making any external request(like curl etc)
Now There can be various approaches to handle this:
If you function get_route_contents is going to handle all the requests, then you need to remove the die from your endpoints and simply make them return the data(instead of echoing). Your this "handler" will take care of response.
Make your Endpoint function to have an optional parameter(or some property set in the $request variable), which will tell the function that this is an internal request and data should be returned, when the request comes directly from a browser(client) you can do echo
Make an external call your code using curl etc(only do this if there is no other option)

Laravel get_file_contents() replaces & with &

How can I avoid Laravel replacing & with & when calling get_file_contents()? I always get a "Bad Request" response because of this,
which is not a problem when not using Laravel.

I solve my problem just use the " instead ' when building string URL path like follow:

Instead of use file_get_contents() you can use guzzlehttp/guzzle you can use this link for installation, and following example to send request and get response:

You can access the content's of body by getContents() method, hop this help you.

PHP SOAP client namespacing

I have a SoapClient instance and I'm trying to make a request (duh!). I am able to pass an array of parameters as key => value in the first level like, securityToken. But I can't send to the second namespace (I think that's what it is) stap. The following is a simplified version of what the inside of my ENV should look like. I know the Envelope should contain a reference to xmlns:stap but I can't work out how to get SoapClient to do that.

Symfony2 - How to perform an external Request

Using Symfony2, I need to access an external API based on HTTPS.
How can I call an external URI and manage the response to "play" with it. For example, to render a success or a failure message?
I am thinking in something like (note that performRequest is a completely invented method):

I have been reading about Buzz and other clients. But I guess that Symfony2 should be able to do it by its own.
I'd suggest using CURL:

Assuming the API request is returning JSON data, this page may be useful.
This doesn't use any code that is specific to Symfony2. There may well be a bundle that can simplify this process for you, but if there is I don't know about it.
Symfony doesn't have a built-in service for this, but this is a perfect opportunity to create your own, using the dependency injection framework. What you can do here is write a service to manage the external call. Let's call the service "http".
First, write a class with a performRequest() method:
