another thing, when i run this script on mac its succeeded without abny trouble.
any one know how to fix it?
or at least what the problem is?
thank you for any help

You need to be running the service on a hosting setup with ssl enabled, if on a Windows machine use WAMP with PHP extension OpenSSL enabled (you can enable it by clicking the system tray icon for WAMP and choosing openssl from PHP extensions).

iOS push using Zend Framework not working

I have implemented Push notification feature in my iOS Application. Push notification message will be pushed from the backend side.
I am using Zend framework on backend side.
Now If I do online tests with push notification it works. So its sure that .pem file created correctly & on iOS side it received push messages correctly.
But while sending push message from backend from zend framework its not working. Its showing the error message like this :
Warning: stream_socket_client(): SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages: error:14094410:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert handshake failure in /home/virtual/site71/fst/var/www/html/application/configs/functions.php on line 316
Warning: stream_socket_client(): Failed to enable crypto in /home/virtual/site71/fst/var/www/html/application/configs/functions.php on line 316
Warning: stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 (Unknown error) in /home/virtual/site71/fst/var/www/html/application/configs/functions.php on line 316
Here is implementation :
function sendIOS($deviceToken){
$passphrase = '12345678';
// Put your alert message here:
$message = 'New stock has been added by Dividend Stock!';
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'pushcert_new.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
$fp = stream_socket_client('ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err, $errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => array(
'body' => $message,
'action-loc-key' => 'dinero App',
),
'badge' => 1
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
if (!$result)
echo 'Message not delivered' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Message successfully delivered' . PHP_EOL;
fclose($fp);
}
Any guidance or hint will be highly appreciated.

Error when try to excute Apple Push Notification through php file

I'm working on push notification in IOS with php server and I produced the certificate and keys of the app also I'm ensure from unblocking port for ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2196 and 2195 but at all time I get this error during try to connect on ssl also I'm sure from the permission of all key files
Warning: stream_socket_client(): SSL: crypto enabling timeout in /Users/samahahmaed/Desktop/CER/newspush.php on line 24

Edited:
When I'm trying this command
openssl s_client -connect gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 -cert PushCertificate.pem -key PushKey.pem -CApath /etc/ssl/certs/Entrust_Root_Certification_Authority.pem
I get this error

I searched a lot about this issue and I tried all possible solutions but without any result what I can do now ?
Edited:
After add -debug to openssl command the most strange thing these lines:
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'apple_push_notification_production.pem');
This line looks like you are using production certificate to connect to sandbox APNS. Try using development certificate. You can get the same from apple developer dashboard.

unable to connect to APNS (connection time out)

I had succeeded earlier on sending a push notification to my iPhone using raywenderlich's excellent tutorial here http://www.raywenderlich.com/32960/apple-push-notification-services-in-ios-6-tutorial-part-1 and running the php script using the mac terminal, however, now I am trying to achieve the same thing only now I have the push.php script uploaded to my server and run the script every 5 min via Cron Job but i get this error now:
stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 (Connection timed out)
Like I said before it was working fine earlier when I was running the script through the terminal. I think the problem is that the php script from the server cannot access my push certificates. How do I give the script access to them? Please help!
Heres the php script if it helps:
<?php
// Assign data into variables
$deviceToken = "e39ffc6b98f649f127d07d2d881bc9faa621a3c5d59f9647e64f6452fc37af6c";
$passphrase = "9q3n6k80";
$sound = '';
$blank = "";
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'ck.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
// Open a connection to the APNS server
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => "mic check",
'sound' => 'default'
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
if (!$result)
echo 'Message not delivered' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Message succesfully delivered' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the connection to the server
fclose($fp);
Thank You!
EDIT: Im using the File Manager in Bluehost to upload files

why does Apple push server think I am using SSLv3 when I specify TLS? (apple push switch to tls)

I apologize in advance, but I am asking the same question as here: How to send iOS Push Notifications using TLS and PHP? because the problem remains unresolved. Here is the Ray Wenderlich tutorial php code I am using to try to send a push notification, as modified per SO post's recommendations:
<?php
// Put your device token here (without spaces):
$deviceToken = '325bcd9d15ab8b5f8ff6f4f3d5ab3a5254f1ce775d48828476f4aaff4c5c3d3f';
// Put your private key's passphrase here:
$passphrase = 'pushchat';
// Put your alert message here:
$message = 'My first push notification!';
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'ck.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'cafile', 'entrust_2048_ca.cer');
// Open a connection to the APNS server
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'tls://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => $message,
'sound' => 'default'
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
if (!$result)
echo 'Message not delivered' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'Message successfully delivered' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the connection to the server
fclose($fp);
I also downloaded the entrust_2048_ca.cer file and ensured that it shows up on the System tab of my keychain access. When I run this php file, I still get the following errors, which is the same set of errors I got before making changes to reflect use of tls:
error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure in /Users/aileenann/Desktop/SimplePush/simplepush.php on line 22
Warning: stream_socket_client(): Failed to enable crypto in /Users/aileenann/Desktop/SimplePush/simplepush.php on line 22
Warning: stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to tls://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 (Unknown error) in /Users/aileenann/Desktop/SimplePush/simplepush.php on line 22
Failed to connect: 0
What else needs to be changed? Why does the tls apple server still think I am trying to use SSL3 when I have specified tls in the URL?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Send iOS push notification from PHP

I'm working on an iOS app that use iOS Push Notifications. I want to send the notification from a php script on my server. The code in my app works really good for registering for remote notification and receive them. I use this php script to send notification and it works well too:
<?php
// My device token here (without spaces):
$deviceToken = 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx';
// My private key's passphrase here:
$passphrase = 'myPrivateKey';
// My alert message here:
$message = 'New Push Notification!';
//badge
$badge = 1;
$ctx = stream_context_create();
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'local_cert', 'ck.pem');
stream_context_set_option($ctx, 'ssl', 'passphrase', $passphrase);
// Open a connection to the APNS server
$fp = stream_socket_client(
'ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195', $err,
$errstr, 60, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT|STREAM_CLIENT_PERSISTENT, $ctx);
if (!$fp)
exit("Failed to connect: $err $errstr" . PHP_EOL);
echo 'Connected to APNS' . PHP_EOL;
// Create the payload body
$body['aps'] = array(
'alert' => $message,
'badge' => $badge,
'sound' => 'newMessage.wav'
);
// Encode the payload as JSON
$payload = json_encode($body);
// Build the binary notification
$msg = chr(0) . pack('n', 32) . pack('H*', $deviceToken) . pack('n', strlen($payload)) . $payload;
// Send it to the server
$result = fwrite($fp, $msg, strlen($msg));
if (!$result)
echo 'Error, notification not sent' . PHP_EOL;
else
echo 'notification sent!' . PHP_EOL;
// Close the connection to the server
fclose($fp);
My problem is that if i run this script by terminal on my imac, all works good and notifications are sent, but if i upload it on my server it doesn't work. My certificate is valid and it's in the same folder of the script. When i try to run the script on the server, i add this line to include the certificate file and use the variable $cerificate:
$certificate = file_get_contents('ck.pem');
This is the error of the php server side:
Warning: stream_socket_client() [function.stream-socket-client]: unable to connect to ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 (Connection timed out) in script.php on line 29
Failed to connect: 110 Connection timed out
Why this happens? Do i have to add something on my server to enable pans connection?
-----UPDATE QUESTION-----
My first problem was that i didn't have the privileges to send connection on port 2195 and receive response on port 2196. Now, my server admin enabled these connection and i have different errors:
Warning: stream_socket_client() [function.stream-socket-client]: SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages: error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure in script.php on line 28
Warning: stream_socket_client() [function.stream-socket-client]: Failed to enable crypto in script.php on line 28
Warning: stream_socket_client() [function.stream-socket-client]: unable to connect to ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 (Unknown error) in script.php on line 28
Failed to connect: 0
It happens when you are using shared hosting, and hosting provider don't give you privileges to use outbound connections on port 2195 and 2196. You should use VPS or use some other providers like urbanAirship and parse.com for this. Or even you can run your own local server... for that
