I am using Cake 2.3 and I have a URL like this:
http://www.example.com/events/event_name
I want to show
http://www.example.com/event_name
I have gone through many links but with no success I am posting here.
Please help me in this.
As mentioned in cakephp official documentation you can use Router class in your bootstrap.php file like
Router::redirect('/posts/*', 'http://google.com', array('status' => 302));

Can some of you tell me please why when I echo "<?", the <? is not displayed?
I'm sorry, maybe it's very stupid question, but I need to dig this language more deeper.
If you view the source it will be there. Its because the browser thinks its a tag.
Fix it by using htmlentities().
echo htmlentities("<?");

Can anyone help me in this matter

Have you also edited that twig file via the built in editor in Design > Theme Editor? If so, it will use that one (which is stored in the database) rather than the file itself.

What mistake am I actually doing?
Please have a look at the image below:
http://1drv.ms/1ybX4Cg
I think
$body['user_id'] = $user()->id;
should be
$body['user_id'] = $user->id;
