I am trying to style my Opencart theme, but I have a problem.
I want to style the grand total result on the checkout page. The problem is I can't style only the grand total result because automatic changes the Sub-total style.
For example I want to make the grand total result BOLD
The code is this:
<tfoot>
<?php foreach ($totals as $total) { ?>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="price"><b><?php echo $total['title']; ?>:</b></td>
<td colspan="2" class="grandtotal-style-css"><?php echo $total['text']; ?></td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
</tfoot>
I found this but is for old Opencart and is not working.
Link is here (opencart.com)
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1986#p9366
Each type of totals row has a unique code (total, sub_total, shipping etc.), so personally, I would change it to something like this:
<tfoot>
<?php foreach ($totals as $total) { ?>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="price"><b><?php echo $total['title']; ?>:</b></td>
<td colspan="2" class="totals-<?php echo $total['code']; ?>"><?php echo $total['text']; ?></td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
</tfoot>
Then change your css class from .grandtotal-style-css to .totals-total
Can you not use the :last-of-type pseudo-element?
.grandtotal-style-css:last-of-type {
font-weight: bold;
}
You have to check for the code of the totals and add styles only for the total (or grandtotal?) one:
<?php foreach ($totals as $total) { ?>
<tr>
<?php if ($total['code'] == 'total') { /* change for 'grandtotal' if needed */ ?>
<td colspan="2" class="price"><b><?php echo $total['title']; ?>:</b></td>
<td colspan="2" class="grandtotal-style-css"><?php echo $total['text']; ?></td>
<?php } else {
<td colspan="2" class="price"><?php echo $total['title']; ?>:</td>
<td colspan="2"><?php echo $total['text']; ?></td>
<?php } ?>
</tr>
<?php } ?>

Im trying to teach myself php.... I have created a database with 4 elements... region, details, store_name, web_address.
I have created ado-while loop that displays all the records in a 'region'... it displays 'store_name', then 'web_address', then 'details' sorted so all the records with the same 'details' are grouped together;
<table width="600" align="center" border="0" cellspacing="4" >
<tr>
<td colspan="2"><h2>Web Stockists: <strong></strong></h2></td>
<td width="251" colspan="2" align="right"><h3>Region: <?php echo $region_text ?></h3></td>
</tr>
<?php do { ?>
<tr>
<td colspan="2"><strong><?php echo $row_RegionList['store_name']; ?></strong></td>
<td colspan="2" rowspan="2" align="center"> <?php echo '' . $row_RegionList['web_address'] . ''; ?></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td width="14">
<td width="313"><?php echo $row_RegionList['details']; ?> </tr>
<?php } while ($row_RegionList = mysql_fetch_assoc($RegionList)); ?>
</table>
I now want to make it so every record with the same 'details' value get listed under a 'details' sub heading.
This is my attempt;
<table width="600" align="center" border="0" cellspacing="4" >
<tr>
<td colspan="2"><h2>Web Stockists: <strong></strong></h2></td>
<td width="251" colspan="2" align="right"><h3>Region: <?php echo $region_text ?></h3></td>
</tr>
<?php $details = $row_RegionList['details'];
do { ?>
<tr>
<td width="313"> <h3><?php echo $row_RegionList['details']; ?> </h3></td>
</tr>
<?php do { ?>
<tr>
<td colspan="2"><strong><?php echo $row_RegionList['store_name']; ?></strong></td>
<td colspan="2" rowspan="2" align="center"> <?php echo '' . $row_RegionList['web_address'] . ''; ?></td>
</tr>
<?php } while ($row_RegionList['details'] == $details);
$details = $row_RegionList['details'];
} while ($row_RegionList = mysql_fetch_assoc($RegionList)); ?>
</table>
This makes a heading of 'region' with a sub heading of 'details' but then creates an eternal loop of the first record in the database. can someone show me what I have done wrong?
I have a payment schedule table where I pull data from the database. The query result fetches four records because there are four payment plans in my table. The code below works fine. The only change I need is here
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php echo $rr['plan_duration']?>
</td>
I am struggling to put an IF condition for the echo statement I want to see the contents of the array first and then decide what to echo. If the value of $rr['plan_duration'] is 1490 then echo 149 else echo the actual value of $rr['plan_duration'] I am facing issues with mixing html with php as far as the syntax is concerned. Please help me implement this condition. Thanks.
Here is the full working code:
<?php
$result = mysql_query("SELECT * from memship_plan where status='1' order by plan_amount DESC");
while($rr=mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
?>
<tr height="30px">
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;" class="red_text">
<?php echo $rr['plan_name']?>
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php echo $rr['plan_contacts']?>
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
Unlimited
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php echo $rr['video']?>
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php echo $rr['plan_duration']?>
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
Rs.
<?php echo $rr['plan_amount']?>
</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<a href="pay.php?plan=<?php echo $rr['plan_name']?>">Pay Now
</a>
</td>
</tr>
PS: I understand the limitation and disadvantages of mysql and I am going to covert it to mysqli
You can insert an entire PHP block inside each td element. Create a function that does the converting from 1490 to 149, let's call it convert() in this example
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php
if($rr['plan_duration'] == 1490)
{
echo convert($rr['plan_duration'])
}
else
{
echo $rr['plan_duration'];
}
?>
</td>
You can also use the ? conditional to reduce the amount of code:
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php echo ($rr['plan_duration'] == 1490) ? convert($rr['plan_duration']) : $rr['plan_duration'];
</td>
Note: Besides using mysqli instead of mysql I strongly advice you to use Prepared Statements too
Inside your while loop you can just use an if statement.
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php if ($rr['plan_duration'] == 1490) {
echo 149 ;
} else {
echo $rr['plan_duration'];
} ?>
</td>
I rewrote your code a bit to make it a bit better to read. I added a shorthand if statement. Take a look:
<?php
$result = mysql_query("SELECT * from memship_plan where status='1' order by plan_amount DESC");
$results = array();
while($record = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
$results[] = $record;
}
?>
<?php foreach ($results as $rr): ?>
<tr height="30px">
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;" class="red_text"><?= $rr['plan_name']; ?></td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;"><?= $rr['plan_contacts']; ?></td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">Unlimited</td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;"><?= $rr['video']; ?></td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;"><?= ($rr['plan_duration'] == '1490') ? '149' : $rr['plan_duration']; ?></td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">Rs. <?= $rr['plan_amount']; ?></td>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">Pay Now</td>
</tr>
<?php endforeach; ?>
<?php
$result = mysql_query("SELECT * from memship_plan where status='1' order by plan_amount DESC");
while($rr=mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
?>
<td align="left" style="padding-left:5px;">
<?php if($rr['plan_duration']=='1490') {
echo "149";
} else {
echo $rr['plan_duration'];
}
?>
</td>
<?php } ?>
I am trying to design the table but it seems coming into proper way but for some cases. In this table, that $cal_amount and $cal_amount_key part shouldbe print whole for any numbers of cars.
Code:
PHP
<?php
$TotV=array("car","bus","jeep");
$Nopkg=array(759,159,459);
$Avg=array(20,50,15);
$Qty=array(15000,58000,58922);
$rate=array(31.73,17.15,17.25);
$gro_tot=789456;
$Cex=781254;
$S_Tot=159254;
$Vat=12500;
$frieght=0;
$G_Tot=985251;
?>
CSS
table,td,th,tr {
border:1px solid black;
border-collapse: collapse;
text-align:left;
}
HTML
<table>
<tr>
<th>S.No</th><th align="center">Variety of Goods</th><th style="width:70px">No.and Description of<br/>Packages</th><th style="width:70px">Avg. Contents per Package<br/>(Pcs)</th><th style="width:70px">Total Quantity<br/>(Pcs)</th><th style="width:70px">Rate per pc.</th><th colspan="2" style="text-align:center;">Amount<br/>(Rs.)</th>
</tr>
<?php
for($i=0;$i<count($TotV);$i++)
{?>
<tr>
<td><?php echo $i+1;?></td>
<td><?php echo strtoupper($TotV[$i]);?></td>
<td><?php echo $Nopkg[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $Avg[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $Qty[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $rate[$i];?></td>
<?php
}?>
<td colspan="1">Total Value</td><td style="width:100px;text-align:right;"> <?php echo $gro_tot;?></td>
<tr><td></td><td></td>
<td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td style="width:150px;">C.Ex.Duty 12.5%</td><td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <?php echo $Cex;?></td></tr>
<tr><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></td><td style="width:150px;">SubTotal</td><td id="num" style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <?php echo $S_Tot;?></td></tr>
<tr><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td style="width:150px;">VAT/CST 2%</td><td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <?php echo $Vat;?></td></tr>
<tr><td style="border:none;" colspan="3"><b>qwert</b></td><td style="border:none;"></td><td style="border:none;" colspan="2"><td><b>Freight</b></td><td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <STRONG><?php echo $frieght;?></STRONG></td></tr>
<tr><td style="border:none;" colspan="3"><b>asdf</b></td><td style="border:none;"></td><td style="border:none;" colspan="2"><td><b>Grand Total</b></td><td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <STRONG><?php echo $G_Tot;?></STRONG></td></tr>
</tr>
</table>
Please suggest some changes to be done in code so that It will start from first row instead of third row. Thanks in advance.
Try this:
First make PHP array for total calculation and label.
$TotV=array("car","bus","jeep");
$Nopkg=array(759,159,459);
$Avg=array(20,50,15);
$Qty=array(15000,58000,58922);
$rate=array(31.73,17.15,17.25);
$gro_tot=789456;
$Cex=781254;
$S_Tot=159254;
$Vat=12500;
$frieght=0;
$G_Tot=985251;
$cal_amount_key = array('Total Value',
'C.Ex.Duty 12.5%',
'SubTotal',
'VAT/CST 2%',
'Freight',
'Grand Total');
$cal_amount = array($gro_tot,
$Cex,
$S_Tot,
$Vat,
$frieght,
$G_Tot);
Put the code inside loop:
<table>
<tr>
<th>S.No</th>
<th align="center">Variety of Goods</th>
<th style="width:70px">No.and Description of<br/>Packages</th>
<th style="width:70px">Avg. Contents per Package<br/>(Pcs)</th>
<th style="width:70px">Total Quantity<br/>(Pcs)</th>
<th style="width:70px">Rate per pc.</th>
<th colspan="2" style="text-align:center;">Amount<br/>(Rs.)</th>
</tr>
<?php
for($i=0;$i<count($TotV);$i++) {?>
<tr>
<td><?php echo $i+1;?></td>
<td><?php echo strtoupper($TotV[$i]);?></td>
<td><?php echo $Nopkg[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $Avg[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $Qty[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $rate[$i];?></td>
<td><?php echo $cal_amount_key[$i];?></td>
<td style="width:100px;text-align:right;"><?php echo $cal_amount[$i];?></td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
<tr>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td style="width:150px;">VAT/CST 2%</td>
<td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <?php echo $Vat;?></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td style="border:none;" colspan="3"><b>qwert</b></td>
<td style="border:none;"></td>
<td style="border:none;" colspan="2">
<td><b>Freight</b></td>
<td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <STRONG><?php echo $frieght;?></STRONG></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td style="border:none;" colspan="3"><b>asdf</b></td>
<td style="border:none;"></td>
<td style="border:none;" colspan="2">
<td><b>Grand Total</b></td>
<td style="width:150px;text-align:right;"> <STRONG><?php echo $G_Tot;?></STRONG></td>
</tr>
</table>
I'm trying to do this in while loop PHP, number of assignments are unlimited so rowspan should also adjust itself with the number of rows, is there any proper way to do it with minimum numbers of line?
<table border="1" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>Assignment No</th>
<th>Student Name</th>
<th>Assignment Marks</th>
<th>Overall Result</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td align="center">1</td>
<td align="center">S1</td>
<td align="center">5</td>
<td rowspan="3" align="center">B Grade</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center">2</td>
<td align="center">S1</td>
<td align="center">8</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center">3</td>
<td align="center">S1</td>
<td align="center">7</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Try This:
<? foreach($dataarray as $data)
{?>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td align="center"><? echo $data[0]; ?></td>
<td align="center"><? echo $data[1]; ?></td>
<td align="center"><? echo $data[2]; ?></td>
</tr>
<? if($data[3]!=Null) { ?>
<td rowspan="3" align="center"><? echo $data[3]; ?></td>
<? } ?>
<? } ?>
and put if condition for last column
Assuming that data comes in a linear fashion (ie a plain one dimensional array), and that the grade is not in the array, I'd do something like this:
<?
$sizeofArray = count($data);
$rowspan = floor($sizeofArray/3);
for($arrCnt = 0; $arrCnt < $sizeofArray; $arrCnt +=3)
{?>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td align="center"><?=$data[$arrCnt]; ?></td>
<td align="center"><?=(($arrCnt+1 < $sizeofArray)?$data[$arrCnt+1]:" "); ?></td>
<td align="center"><?=(($arrCnt+2 < $sizeofArray)?$data[$arrCnt+2]:" "); ?></td>
</tr>
<? if($data[3]!=Null) { ?>
<td rowspan="<?=$rowspan?>" align="center"><?=$grade; ?></td>
<? } ?>
<? } ?>
EDIT: added "padding" code, to avoid index out of bounds error
Based on your case, rowspan is different from one student to another. What you would want to do, is group data by student. The number of assignments per student is what will give you rowspan value.
While ... {
$data['student'][] = ['name' => $row -> name]; // all student inf
$data['student][]['assignments'][] = ['id' => $row -> assignement_id];//student assigments
}
Hope this help or put in the right direction to resolve your problem.
use foreach to loop
foreach ($data as $student){
$rowspan = count($student['assignments'];
foreach ($student['assigments'] as $assignment ){
// html table
}
}
I am using codeigniter and dompdf to generate a pdf document.
the document is generated with a foreach loop. each loop creates a few table rows. I want to have a pagebreak between the rows of each loop.
my relevent codeigniter view syntax is:
<table width=100%>
<?php foreach($summary as $summary){ ?>
<tr class="firstrow">
<td colspan="10">
<?php echo "<b>Customer</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->caccountname; ?>
<?php echo "</font> <b>Order Number</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->OrderNum; ?>
<?php echo "</font> <b>Sales rep</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->RepName; ?>
<?php echo "</font> <b>Due Date</b>: <font color='blue'>".substr($summary->DueDate,0,10); ?>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="10"><hr>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="10">
<table class="sortable" width="90%">
<tr><td ><b>Product</td><td ><b>Ordered</td><td ><b>Processed</td><td ><b>Outstanding</td><td ><b>Dispatched</td><td ><b>Available (incl FJ)</td><td ><b>Available FJ</td></tr>
<?php foreach($$linedetails as $linedetails){ ?>
<tr>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Product; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->cubicvolume; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Processed; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Outstanding; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Dispatched; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->TotalVolume; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->FJVolume; ?></td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
</table>
I have given the first tr a class of firstrow, I would like a page break to appear before this line every time.
As such I have applied the following style sheet in my page header:
<style>
#media print
{
.firstrow {page-break-before:always}
}
</style>
This doesnt work.
How can I acheive my desired result of placeing a page break before each loop firstrow TR?
Thanks as always
To make Pagebreak work with tr, write a line of css for tr
tr { page-break-inside:avoid; page-break-after:auto }
Try above code.
If not working, then add
table { page-break-inside:auto }
Try this, I am doing reports exactly same way
<?php
$nbsp5 = " ";
foreach($summary as $summary) { ?>
<table width="100%" style="page-break-after:always;">
<tr>
<td colspan="10">
<?php echo "<b>Customer</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->caccountname; ?>
<?php echo "</font>".$nbsp5 ." <b>Order Number</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->OrderNum; ?>
<?php echo "</font>".$nbsp5 ." <b>Sales rep</b>: <font color='blue'>".$summary->RepName; ?>
<?php echo "</font>".$nbsp5 ." <b>Due Date</b>: <font color='blue'>".substr($summary->DueDate,0,10); ?>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="10"><hr></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="10">
<table class="sortable" width="90%">
<tr>
<td><b>Product</b></td>
<td><b>Ordered</b></td>
<td><b>Processed</b></td>
<td><b>Outstanding</b></td>
<td><b>Dispatched</b></td>
<td><b>Available (incl FJ)</b></td>
<td><b>Available FJ</b></td>
</tr>
<?php foreach($$linedetails as $linedetails){ ?>
<tr>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Product; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->cubicvolume; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Processed; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Outstanding; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->Dispatched; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->TotalVolume; ?></td>
<td><?php echo $linedetails->FJVolume; ?></td>
</tr>
<?php } ?>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<?php } ?>
(first <table> tag moved inside loop)
Please try this answer for both header and footer.
