My script was running fine on apache server. But when i migrated to nginx server, i got the error:
PHP message: PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
And there is the code:
foreach($this->_uploaded as $name) {
$file = pathinfo($name);
$ad_count = $file['filename'];
$path = '/images/ads/'.$friendly_name.'-black-friday-'.($ad_count).'-' . $this->createRandomString() . '.' . $file['extension'];
if(!copy(__SITE_PATH . "/public/tmp/" . $name, __FRONTEND_PATH . $path)) {
return false;
}
$this->db->query("INSERT INTO stores_ads (stores_id, path, sort) VALUES (".$id.", '".$path."', ".(int)$ad_count.")");
#unlink(__SITE_PATH . "/public/tmp/" . $name);
}
Do you know the reason why? I think it may get the wrong path of the upload folder? Or something wrong with nginx configuration?
This is the full code:
add something like :
if (is_array($this->_uploaded)) {
//add your code
foreach($this->_uploaded as $name) {
$file = pathinfo($name);
# code...
}
}
hope this help :)

I'm using the mailReader script found here: https://github.com/stuporglue/mailreader
I am trying to copy the file(s) after upload to another folder.
The file(s) upload correctly to the folder where the script resides.
When I try to run a copy command, the filename variable is empty.
Here is the portion of the code I am working with: The last three lines are what I added.
private function saveFile($filename,$contents,$mimeType = 'unknown'){
$filename = preg_replace('/[^a-zA-Z0-9_-]/','_',$filename);
$unlocked_and_unique = FALSE;
while(!$unlocked_and_unique){
// Find unique
$name = time() . "_" . $filename;
$name = substr_replace($name,".pdf",-4); // added 1-19-2016
while(file_exists($this->save_directory . $name)) {
$name = time() . "_" . $filename;
$name = substr_replace($name,".pdf",-4);
}
// Attempt to lock
$outfile = fopen($this->save_directory.$name,'w');
if(flock($outfile,LOCK_EX)){
$unlocked_and_unique = TRUE;
}else{
flock($outfile,LOCK_UN);
fclose($outfile);
}
}
fwrite($outfile,$contents);
fclose($outfile);
if (copy($this->save_directory.$name, "/attachments/" . TRANS_ID . "/". $name)) {
unlink( $this->save_directory.$name );
}
I receive confirmation by email that the file(s) are uploaded, then another email with the error message.
Warning: copy(/attachments/W7652222-546/1453406138_residential-print_from_td.pdf): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/myhost/public_html/mailreader/mailReader.php on line 224
224 being the line number of my added code.
The source filename is missing from in front of /attachments...
Anyone have any thoughts?
$name is defined in the while loop and may not be accessible on the upper scopes my suggestion is to change your code to this:
private function saveFile($filename,$contents,$mimeType = 'unknown'){
$filename = preg_replace('/[^a-zA-Z0-9_-]/','_',$filename);
$unlocked_and_unique = FALSE;
$name = '';
while(!$unlocked_and_unique){
// Find unique
$name = time() . "_" . $filename;
$name = substr_replace($name,".pdf",-4); // added 1-19-2016
while(file_exists($this->save_directory . $name)) {
$name = time() . "_" . $filename;
$name = substr_replace($name,".pdf",-4);
}
// Attempt to lock
$outfile = fopen($this->save_directory.$name,'w');
if(flock($outfile,LOCK_EX)){
$unlocked_and_unique = TRUE;
}else{
flock($outfile,LOCK_UN);
fclose($outfile);
}
}
fwrite($outfile,$contents);
fclose($outfile);
if (copy($this->save_directory.$name, "/attachments/" . TRANS_ID . "/". $name)) {
unlink( $this->save_directory.$name );
}
I hope this solves your problem
I ended up defining a constant of email_id in the private function saveToDb, then running a script after everything else is finished to query the table using the email_id and looping through the records moving the files.
so I come to you with this problem:
GIVENS:
I have Hostgator as the ISP.
I'm using PHP 5.5
The LINUX box is CENTOS
Shared Hosting Environment
I am a professional coder and experienced with LAMP for many years
PROBLEMS:
I'm NOT familiar with Jailed Shell but have an idea
I've tried the script and have been searching for an answer
Still Stuck...
Here's my current code:
function getMyFakeDir($myfile) {
$target = "";
$link = 'content/purchased-items/link';
symlink($target, $link);
echo "READ LINK: ". readlink($link);
return readlink($link);
}
Here's the called to the function:
$linkText = getMyFakeDir('SomePDFThatTheUserCanDownload.pdf');
Then I pass that "$linkText" var to PHPMailer and wala!!! The user clicks to download through the Symlink and I've written a code to make it expire after 24 hours. Yeah, I got that from PHP.net.
So, basically that's my problem....
Here's the error:
Warning: symlink(): Permission denied in /homeSomewhere/someMasterDir/public_html/webServices/somePHPFile.php on line 654
This is link 654 from above:
symlink($target, $link);
Thanks...
Figured it out.... Simple LOGIC!
First I had the PATHS all wrong. Here's the CORRECTED CODE:
//Generate Symbolic Link that blows away a fake directory each time
//A symbolic Link is created to "THIS" file below
$filename = $myfile;
//This is ANY directory on the server...
//A randomly named directory is created here...STEP 1
$downloaddir = "/home/someHostDir/public_html/sldktrulwiu2555ivd0fjvdfgdfgdfgdf/";
//Any directory NOT accessible by a browser - This is one level up
$safedir = "/home/someHostDir/content/purchased-items/";
//This is the equivalent of the $downloaddir and the browser is REDIRECTED here and the download begins
$downloadURL = "http://www.theSomeDomain.com/sldktrulwiu2555ivd0fjvdfgdfgdfgdf/"; //THIS IS THE FAKE DIRECTORY (Which I simply type gobbligook and created that mess above)
$letters = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz';
srand((double) microtime() * 1000000);
$string = '';
for ($i = 1; $i <= rand(4, 12); $i++) {
$q = rand(1, 24);
$string = $string . $letters[$q];
}
$handle = opendir($downloaddir);
while ($dir = readdir($handle)) {
if (is_dir($downloaddir . $dir)) {
if ($dir != "." && $dir != "..") {
#unlink($downloaddir . $dir . "/" . $filename);
#rmdir($downloaddir . $dir);
}
}
}
closedir($handle);
mkdir($downloaddir . $string, 0777);
symlink($safedir . $filename, $downloaddir . $string . "/" . $filename);
//Header("Location: " . $downloadURL . $string . "/" . $filename);
That just about does it.
The result is a Dynamic directory inside the "/sldktrulwiu2555ivd0fjvdfgdfgdfgdf/" directory like this: "dfsgss/" and a "shortcut" to the REAL LOCATION where the files are. THEN when the file is downloaded, and the page returns to the INDEX.HTML, the code BLOWS OUT the FAKE directory Never more to be seen again. Thus, if the user wants to go back, they get the horrible 404 PAGE error that the file / has been moved or deleted. BUMMER.
That's it folks. Thanks for your assistance, it was you all the helped me release my error. TEAM WORK!
There is very few information on the Internet on how to solve this problem that I'm having, which is the fact that when i try to rename a file it gives me the error "Device or resource busy in".
this is my code:
if ($handler = opendir($thumb_dir)) {
while (false !== ($thumb_name = readdir($handler))) {
$new_thumb_name = str_ireplace("por_eliminar_" . $_POST['id_anuncio'] . "_",$_POST['titulo'] . "_" . $_POST['id_anuncio'] . "_",$thumb_name);
rename($thumb_dir . $thumb_name,$thumb_dir . $new_thumb_name);
}
In wamp I didn't got this error, but I'm getting in hostgator... any ideas on what the problem might be ?
Im using Querypath in my PHP.
Since my linux is Debian Lenny that doesnt have support anymore, and I have no idea how to update it to debian Squeeze. I cant update its php, since it doesnt exist for Lenny (for what I read).
Using Querypath I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ')' in
/var/www/vhosts/company/httpdocs/2013/inc/qp.php on line 61
And this line is:
spl_autoload_register(function ($klass) {
$parts = explode('\\', $klass);
if ($parts[0] == 'QueryPath') {
$path = __DIR__ . '/' . implode('/', $parts) . '.php';
if (file_exists($path)) {
require $path;
}
}
Do you know, hot I can convert it to "PHP Version 5.2.6-1+lenny13" ?
PHP 5.2 does not support anonymous functions.
Instead, try using a named function, represented by a string:
function my_function($kclass) {
$parts = explode('\\', $klass);
if ($parts[0] == 'QueryPath') {
$path = __DIR__ . '/' . implode('/', $parts) . '.php';
if (file_exists($path)) {
require $path;
}
}
}
spl_autoload_register('my_function');
I have a problem with the php_zip.dll's ZipArchive class. I'm using it through the ZipArchiveImproved wrapper class suggested on php.net to avoid the max file-handle issue.
The problem is really simple: 700 files are added properly (jpg image files), and the rest fails. The addFile method returns false.
The PHP version is 5.2.6.
The weird thing is that this actually used to work.
What could be the problem? Can you give me any clues?
Thank you very much in advance!
Edit: sorry, it's not true that I'm not getting any error message (display_errors was switched off in php.ini I didn't notice it before). From the 701. file on, I'm getting the following error message:
Warning: ZipArchive::addFile() [ziparchive.addfile]: Invalid or unitialized Zip object in /.../includes/ZipArchiveImproved.class.php on line 104
Looks like the close() call returns false, but issues no error. Any ideas?
Edit 2: the relevant source:
include_once DIR_INCLUDES . 'ZipArchiveImproved.class.php';
ini_set('max_execution_time', 0);
$filePath = $_SESSION['fqm_archivePath'];
$zip = new ZipArchiveImproved();
if(! $zip->open($filePath, ZipArchive::CREATE))
{
echo '<div class="error">Hiba: a célfájl a(z) "' . $filePath . '" útvonalon nem hozható létre.</div>';
return;
}
echo('Starting (' . count($_POST['files']) . ' files)...<br>');
$addedDirs = array();
foreach($_POST['files'] as $i => $f)
{
$d = getUserNameByPicPath($f);
if(! isset($addedDirs[$d]))
{
$addedDirs[$d] = true;
$zip->addEmptyDir($d);
echo('Added dir "' . $d . '".<br>');
}
$addName = $d . '/' . basename($f);
$r = $zip->addFile($f, $addName);
if(! $r)
{
echo('<font color="Red">[' . ($i + 1) . '] Failed to add file "' . $f . '" as "' . $addName . '".</font><br>');
}
}
$a = $zip->addFromString('test.txt', 'Moooo');
if($a)
{
echo 'Added string successfully.<br>';
}
else
{
echo 'Failed to add string.<br>';
}
$zip->close();
It's probably because of maximal number of open files in your OS (see http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-increase-the-maximum-number-of-open-files/ for more detailed info; it can by system-wide or just user limit).
Zip keeps every added file open until Zip::close is called.
The solution is to close and reopen archive every X files (256 or 512 should be safe value).
The problem is described here: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ziparchive-open.php#88765
Have you tried to specify both flags?
I solved this problem by increasing the ulimit: ulimit -n 8192.
