This site has a custom 404 error page secondhanddivas.com/testx (CodeIgniter error_404) But when I try to visit, it is just "Uh-oh" 404 message. In all web browser that I use. I tried visiting it on different machine(friend's laptop) and the custom 404 page is working.
Any ideas? Please help.
Thanks everyone. I solved it. I was looking at what programs I had installed and I say this Rocket Toolbar/Rocket Tab thing... I uninstalled it and bam... it works.

I have a WordPress multisite installation and many sites working fine there. But I have created a new one now and there is a little big problem.
On this new site, first of all, I have to say there is no problem to access all the external content. And I can do a logon on admin area without problems. But, on admin area, if I try to access anything, I'm redirected to the page (because the URL changes) but I can't see the content, just a white box where that says "This has been disabled". Then I do a new logon and I can see the page I wanted to access. But when I try to click on anything, "This has been disabled" message again and again.
There is no error on debug but there is one in console:
GET <the URL I tried to access> 403 (Forbidden)
I think that's not a theme/plugin problem at all. Maybe a wrong configuration on multisite, Apache or DNS. I don't know. I'm lost.
I solved that cleaning Chrome DNS cache:
chrome://net-internals/#dns
I have a wordpress app based on PHP7 catridge on Openshift. I added two alias to the app(e.g, www.xyz.com & xyz.com) and I also updated the CName in my Zone file. When I enter www.xyz.com, it redirects me to www.xyz.com/app and throws a 404 NOT FOUND error (nginx/1.11.6).
But I can access the administration page without any problem (www.xyz.com/wp-admin)
Can anyone please help?
Enter the www.domain.abc first. Use CloudFlare to configure your domain. Make things pretty easy.
After this you will get the pretty permalinks error related to ngnix.
I am too getting the same error. I can access the home page and most of the things. This error only arises when I decide to use Pretty Permalinks in WordPress.
Till now I have figured it out that we have to edit the ngnix file. But there are several files out there.
Has made me even more confused.
This may not be the solution but you can access post and other stuff in plain permalinks.
I am having a strange thing happening to my Joomla site. I am unable to save anything in the Admin Panel. For instance, if I go to "Global Settings" and make any changes (eg site name or even email) and click on Save, I get a 404 Error:
The requested page can't be found.
Error: 404 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: jgive, html, jgiveView
I am using Joomla 3.4 (latest version). Please see the screenshot attached. Is anyone getting any similar error and any idea how to solve this? I have .htaccess enabled in my backend, with SEF Urls turned on. This seems to be happening randomly because the site has been working just fine and suddenly started this behaviour.
Thanks for any help!
I am facing an issue with Symfony2. I have created a website, it works fine locally.
I can access localhost/symfony/web to see my site on prod. (it doesn't work if I go to app.php, I get redirected to the wamp index page, but it seems to be normal on the Symfony version I use - 2.2.1 )
Online I have a 404 error when I try to access http://www.mywebsite.com/web
If I try to go to any other page (like www.mywebsite.com), I get a 403 error.
But I can go to http://www.mywebsite.com/web/app_dev.php or http://www.mywebsite.com/web/config.php without error.
I am using a shared server (1&1 starter).
I don't see anything in the logs. I have cleared the caches (both dev and prod), but it doesn't change anything.
I am lost... can anyone help me?
Thanks,

There are two possibilities that will generate 404 error.
The folder is missing
.htaccess got screwed up
