localhost changing to www.localhost.com (Joomla) - php

Question

I tried extracting a full working website with a Joomla database. The problem is I can't seem to run the site on localhost/mysite since it redirects to www.localhost.com/mysite.
Does anyone know what to change in the configuration.php in order to make this work? I tried making it $live_site = '' and have already imported the database so I don't really know why it's not working.
