Load a website in a specific data-section after press submit - php

There is the problem:
I have a website that contains all the sections in just a page, so it is large website, I have a formulary with a reCaptcha almost at the buttom of the website, so when people don't enter the good captcha and press submit it loads the website again but it goes to the top of the website so people get lost becouse they don't know if the mail was sended or what as they have to scroll down for see the warning message that they didn't put the correct captcha.
The question, is there a way that when they press the submit it loads the website in a specific section? in this case "menu3" section
This is what I have:
<section id="menu3"> </section>
<form action="?done=1" method="post" name="myphpform" id="myphpform" >
<input type="text" id="nombre" class="form-control" name="nombre" placeholder="Escribe tu nombre" required value="<?php if (!empty($_POST['nombre'])) { echo $_POST['nombre']; } ?>" />
<input type="text" id="telefono" class="form-control" name="telefono" placeholder="Teléfono y/o celular" value="<?php if (!empty($_POST['telefono'])) { echo $_POST['telefono']; } ?>" />
<input type="email" id="email" class="form-control" name="email" placeholder="Escribe tu e-mail" required value="<?php if (!empty($_POST['email'])) { echo $_POST['email']; } ?>" />
<textarea name="comentarios" id="comentarios" class="form-control" placeholder="Comentarios y/o preguntas" required /><?php if (!empty($_POST['comentarios'])) { echo $_POST['comentarios']; } ?></textarea>
<input name="submit" type="submit" class="btn btn-info" value="Enviar" />
</form>
and the php:
<?php
#require_once('recaptchalib.php');
$publickey = "";
$privatekey = "";
$resp = null;
$error = null;
if ($_POST["submit"]) {
$resp = recaptcha_check_answer ($privatekey,
$_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"],
$_POST["recaptcha_challenge_field"],
$_POST["recaptcha_response_field"]);
if ($resp->is_valid) {
$to="mail#mail";
$subject="Contacto";
$body="Contacto:
Nombre: " .$_POST["nombre"] . "\n
Empresa: " .$_POST["empresa"] . "\n
Ubicacion: " .$_POST["ubicacion"] . "\n
Telefono: " .$_POST["telefono"] . "\n
E-mail: " .$_POST["email"] . "\n
Comentarios: " .$_POST["comentarios"] . "\n";
mail($to,$subject,$body, null, '-fmail#mail.mx');
$resultMenuUrlName = "contacto_gracias.html";
echo "<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT=0;URL=$resultMenuUrlName>";
exit(1);
} else {
echo "Lo sentimos pero no ha colocado el texto correctamente! Intente nuevamente...";
}
}
echo recaptcha_get_html($publickey, $error);
?>
thx in advice

You can use a named anchor:
then make the url: http://myurl.com#value

well I finally found how to go to the section after all the website is loaded as at the beginning my site have a little animation, maybe is not the best solution but it works for me. I just add it to the php:
echo "<script type=''>
setTimeout(function() {
window.location = '#anchor';
}, 7000);
</script>";

issues with multiple forms on php page

i am trying to make a simple login system, with password recovery option,, so i made a password reset link.
hwoever, it is not working, meaning that form2's button just leads back to form1 (leads back to username and email form && i have three different forms), so i separated it into three different if statements, for each button clicked, but the same issue keeps on happening.
please tell me what is happening and ho to fix it
thank you.

Just for sake of debugging remove all extra stuff from that file and focus on 3 if statements
Also try using
if(isset($_POST['submit1']))
Always try to close in onto the problem at hand and remove extra stuff that is in there. It helps make simpler but better decisions.

After I hit Submit on my PHP page nothing happens. The data should import into my php database

I created this signup page. The problem is when I click submit after I enter the information nothing happens. It just refreshes the same page. The info I enter should import into my database after I hit submit and display a thank you for signing up message after the submission. Please help. I'm trying to keep everything to single page by implementing the html and php code all on one page instead of 2 separate files.

You are mixing javascript code with php code. Javascripts uses '.' to access class vars/functions, php uses '->'.
Please read this page in order to use Recaptcha with php: https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/old/docs/php
The recaptcha documentation shows that this API request should return JSON. You will need to decode the JSON response to refer to its contents. So do this after you use file_get_contents() to get the response:
$response = json_decode($response);
and then you should be able to check for success with a little adjustment to your syntax.
if($response->success==false)

Passing PHP variable data onto another page after validation

While I found something similar to this question on here it didn't answer my question outright.
I have set up this php script to validate the form data, which works, after its validated I want it to then pass the info onto another script page to let the user then verify their input data and then mail the data. Its at this state that I'm having trouble. I've spent the last few days trying to find a solution to this and unfortunately coming up short.
<?php
$name_error = '';
$email_error = '';
$comments_error = '';
$error = false;
if (!empty($_POST['submitted']))
{ //if submitted, the validate.
$name = trim($_POST['name']);
if (empty($name))
{
$name_error='Name is required';
$error = true;
}
$email = trim($_POST['email']);
/* If e-mail is not valid show error message */
if (!preg_match("/([\w\-]+\#[\w\-]+\.[\w\-]+)/", $email))
{
$email_error='E-mail address not valid';
$error = true;
}
$comments = trim($_POST['comments']);
if (empty($comments))
{
$comments_error='Comments are required';
$error = true;
}
if ($error == false)
{
$name_send = $name;
$email_send = $email;
$comments_send = $comments;
/* Redirect visitor to the thank you page */
header('Location: /mail.php');
exit();
}
}
The form this is attached to:
<form action="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']);?>" method="post">
<label>Your Name</label><br />
<input type="text" name="name" style="width:95%" class="text" value='<?php echo htmlentities($name) ?>' />
<br/>
<span class='error'><?php echo $name_error ?></span>
<br />
<label>Email</label><br />
<input type="email" name="email" style="width:95%" class="text" value='<?php echo htmlentities($email) ?>' />
<br/>
<span class='error'><?php echo $email_error ?></span>
<br />
<label for="comments" style="font-size:16px;">Feedback Comments</label><br />
<textarea name="comments" style="width:95%;" rows="8" value='<?php echo htmlentities($comments) ?>'></textarea>
<br />
<span class='error'><?php echo $comments_error ?></span>
<br />
<input type="checkbox" name="allowCommentPublish" checked="checked" />
<label for="allowCommentPublish" style="font-size:10px;">Allow these comments to be used on our website</label>
<fieldset class="optional">
<h2>[ OPTIONAL ]</h2>
<label>Company Name</label><br />
<input type="text" name="companyName" style="width:95%" class="text" />
<br/>
<label>Phone</label><br />
<input type="text" name="phone" style="width:95%" class="text" /><br/>
<div style="margin:5px 0px;">
<input type="checkbox" name="incmarketing" />
<label style="font-size:10px;"> Yes, you can email me specials and promotions.</label>
<br/>
</div>
</fieldset>
<fieldset>
<input type="submit" name="submitted" value="Send" />
</fieldset>
I will point out im focusing on the main data inputs: Name E-mail and comments.
I need the info from this form to be sent onward but i dont know exactly how to do this and any help will be appreciated greatly.
For passing the values to next page you will have to use either of the three methods.
1. Set cookies with the data.
2. Use global variable session.
3.Pass the data in the url.
For cookies u can set cookies with the values like
setcookie('name',$name);
in ur next page read those cookie data
For sessions:
$_SESSION['name']= $name;
for reading data from cookies & session:
$name = $_COOKIE['name'];
$name = $_SESSION['name'];
For using sessions you must add the line
session_start();
at the start of both the pages that send or receive(use) the data
and for urls
header('Location: /mail.php?name=$name&email=$email&comment=$comments');
Read more on using session
If you need to pass values from one script to another you can use $_SESSION variables. To start a session use: (at the top of the php script)
session_start();
$_SESSION['somename'] = $somevariable;
To access or get that same variable you can use this:
session_start();
$some_other_variable = $_SESSION['somename'];
or you can use hidden input fields.
You can use hidden fields and javascript to submit the form. However as this is the same php page as the original form you will need an if statement
echo '<form name="newForm" action="newpage.php" method="POST">';
echo '<input type="hidden" name="name2" value"' . $name . '">;
echo '<input type="hidden" name="email2" value"' . $email . '">;
echo '<input type="hidden" name="comments2" value"' . $comments . '"></form>;
echo '<script> if (document.getElementById("name2").value != ""){window.onload = function(){ window.document.newForm.submit(); }} </script>';

display alert when form is submitted

I need to display the alert saying thanx your msg is received but this doesnot works so please hel me out how to do.Is there coding error or what i coudnt get to it.i would pe pleased if someone helps me out.thankyou

You can't mix JavaScript and PHP like that. The PHP will be parsed on the served before the page is served up to the user. Including it inside of your JavaScript else block will have no effect, since the code will be run when the page is generated anyway.
You should look into the use of AJAX.
