I currently use Xampp on Windows for a local web development. In my web root, I have symlinks to each of my projects like so:
http://i.stack.imgur.com/GW9Yt.png
When the symlink is followed via explorer, it opens up the correct folder and location however, when loaded via Apache in my browser (localhost/project) I receive this error:
Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'C:/xampp/htdocs/project/index.php' (include_path='.;C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in Unknown on line 0
The file index.php is located inside the directory the symlink is directed at.
I believe this is a permission error however I cannot seem to discover what might be causing this as I have individually checked the permissions of each folder, file, etc and can't seem to find the issue.
Something I have noticed is that files located in folders located inside folders inside the symlink, e.g. link/style/file.txt will load however those in the root directory of the symlink do not.
Even I faced the same problem while installing magento on XAMPP & Windows-7. This clearly solved my problem.
Stop the apache and mysql
Exit XAMPP
Click on start button and search for XAMPP
Right click on "XAMPP Control Panel" and "Run as administrator"
Now you start apache and mysql
Your symlinks should start working now

No errors on Wamp
When I put the files on my Lamp server everything works except for this error I get on the top of the page
Warning: file_put_contents(donneesDonut.json): failed to open stream:
Permission denied in /var/www/html/bp/action/IndexAction.php on line
101
I looked around and most people suggest to change the permission of the file or the entire directory on apache.
chmod 777 did nothing for me.
I'm new to web servers so I probably have missed some apache configuration for permissions during the installation process
Here is a screenshot of the directory
Directory listing
I don't think there is a problem with the code since it works on my local Wamp server but here is the line of code that gives me the error.
file_put_contents($this->json, json_encode($this->donneesDonut));
If you need any other information like specific apache configuration please tell me where to get them.
Hope you can help
The problem was SELinux with was set to enforce by default on Centos
I have successfully uploaded my symfony app to the server. I have also copied the content of the web folder into the public_html folder of my website. But when I access my app via the www.domain.com I get this error
Warning: require_once(/home/domain/public_html/../app/bootstrap.php.cache): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domain/public_html/app.php on line 6
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/domain/public_html/../app/bootstrap.php.cache' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/domain/public_html/app.php on line 6
After researching I found that you can run composer install on the server but my challenge is that I dont know how to run cli command on the server via ssh/cpanel.
Please who will be kind enough to show me the way. This is my first attempt on trying to host a symfony application
When you don't run an composer install your dependencies are missing and the bootstrap.cache.php isn't created. So you have to upload the file and the complete vendor folder.
But i would prefer to take a look at your SSH connection and use the correct way. Otherwise you have to upload every time your complete sources including your vendor folder which can take a lot of time.
And the next think is your path. The components from your Symfony application are normally outside of your webroot. So you have to be sure that you can access that folders outside your webroot.
In some systems you have to allow that before you can use it. Otherwise you have to upload your complete application to your public_html folder and put your domain to the web subdirectory.
I am running xampp, and I want to have multiple websites in the htdocs folder. When I just install Wordpress into the htdocs folder, it works fine. However, when I clone (from github) a pre-existing build of wordpress and place it into the htdocs folder (ex - htdocs/somesite.com) I cannot access it.
I get an error of:
Warning: require(C:\xampp\htdocs\mysite.com/wp-includes/load.php):
failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
C:\xampp\htdocs\mysite.com\wp-settings.php on line 21
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required
'C:\xampp\htdocs\mysite.com/wp-includes/load.php'
(include_path='C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in
C:\xampp\htdocs\mysite.com\wp-settings.php on line 21
I am confused on two things:
I see the file there that is SAYS is missing in the directory. This I have triple and quadruple checked. I also do not understand the reference to the c:\xampp\php\PEAR path
I also do not know whether or not there are problems coming from the fact that the slashes between directories changing direction are causing the problem. Like why are they starting off with the "\" but then going to "/" after the "mysite.com".
This is the second time I have run into this problem. What am I doing wrong?
I am trying to install DokuWiki on a windows 2003 server and using IIS 7.2 and PHP 5. I have gone on to IIS and created a virtual directory that points to where I extracted DokuWiki, I have set up all the permissions for that folder ensuring that it has rwx on all folders and sub folders. The virtual directory has rwx permissions enabled. The first problem I had was that php reported a missing file which was PassHash.class.php which I just created the blank file but before I added that file the logs reported
[20-May-2015 10:36:51] PHP Warning: require_once(C:\dokuwiki/inc/PassHash.class.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\dokuwiki\install.php on line 12
[20-May-2015 10:36:51] PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required 'C:\dokuwiki/inc/PassHash.class.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\dokuwiki\install.php on line 12
But once I added the blank file it displays this:
I am aware that it is a permissions issue but I don't know how to add the permissions to those directories or even where they are located. Also did anyone else have to create that blank file ? seems a little odd to me. Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Luke
Browse to the dokuwiki/ directory and Check the properties of the data/ folder. Ensure that the Internet Guest Account(IUSR), the appropriate web server account or Server Group(IIS_IUSRS) has Folder level “Write” permissions to the data/ folder.
Browse to the dokuwiki/ directory and Check the properties of the conf/ folder. Ensure that the Internet Guest Account(IUSR), the appropriate web server account or Server Group(IIS_IUSRS) has Folder level “Write” permissions to the conf/ folder.
In IIS Manager left click the site name
Click “Edit Permissions” in the Actions pane OR right click and choose “Edit Permissions” from the shortcut menu.
Click the Security tab
Click the Edit button
Click the Add button
Click the Locations button and choose the local server name
Now type in IUSR and click OK, and OK again.
After this, install.php should work.
I have a virtual shared server through:
Godaddy
Plesk 11.0
Dreamweaver CS5
phpMyAdmin through Plesk.
I use XAMPP for my local server and all is great! I can connect locally and I also can connect to the phpMyAdmin dbase file via Dreamweaver. It's just when I upload the file to my remote server I get:
Warning: require_once(Connections/TestConn.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\directory420.com\httpdocs\test.php on line 1
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'Connections/TestConn.php' (include_path='.;./includes;./pear') in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\directory420.com\httpdocs\test.php on line 1
I want my PHP registration form to be accessible to people that navigate to the page. I use XAMPP so I don't know why the Inetpub and vhost info shows up.
Use absolute paths. You can use configuration files for this. Make a file named configuration.php, put it in some common location like DOCUMENT_ROOT/configutation.php. Add the absolute paths to this like
define('LIBRARY_ROOT','c:\xx\yy\');
define('CONNECTION_ROOT','c:\xx\yy\ZZZ');
.
.
define('GG.....
Use this constants in your code. Import the configuration file in the flow root. Its easy when you move from server to server.
Thanks
