I am trying to edit css
"css_pF25-gpJPC5E_dzDNqsHs9AriR_AGzKkzgs-0VLNBgI.css"
when me put any my css in above file like float:left no effect appear in front-end and ,
Why the css file name is too complicated in drupal , what should I do ?
it is in drupal it contain in "C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal_1\sites\default\files\css"
You need to simply create css file at "projectname/sites/all/themes/theme_name/css/abc.css". Write css code.
Clear cache from
if using windows then
"Home » Administration » Configuration » Development » Performance" this path and press clear all cache button.
if using linux
go to the project path for example "/var/www/project_name/" and hit drush cc all it will clear all cache. and changes will be reflect.
Note: You should installed drush module.
Actually drupal merges all css and create a css file with dynamic name.
Hpe it will help you. Happy coding.
I am quite confused how you got "css_pF25-gpJPC5E_dzDNqsHs9AriR_AGzKkzgs-0VLNBgI.css" in your DRUPAL file system.
Since its aggregated CSS file, you wont find any CSS file which has named like that. CSS aggregation is being done by DRUPAL end.
So best way of doing this is, got to following path: In admin menu,
Configuration >> Development >> Performance. In this page under "BANDWIDTH OPTIMIZATION" section, you see "Aggregate and compress CSS files" check box.
DE-select that check box and clear DRUPAL cache. And then inspect element which CSS your are going to change, there you see exact CSS file name which not is aggregated one.Go to that CSS file and make CSSchanges and save.
Then clear Drupal cache and you need to clear browser history also some times.
Then see changes on front end. If changes effected , go to
Configuration >> Development >> Performanace ,check "Aggregate and compress CSS files" check box.
Stop, why you CSS file named "css_pF25-gpJPC5E_dzDNqsHs9AriR_AGzKkzgs-0VLNBgI.css"? Create normal style.css file, put on theme_floder/css/ and include style in theme.info file. But i don't understend you question?
You are trying to edit a temporary file generated by Drupal's cache. Edit your actual CSS file (you can find this in the .info file of your theme) and then clear the cache: /admin/config/development/performance

I am currently new to Sass and my friend gave me a project that contained a Material Design 'template', that he made.
Unfortunately there is no .css file that got all the stylesheets in it.
There are a couple of .scss files though but I do not really know how to compile them all to a .css file.
I figured out that I could use 'gulp', but when I add all the files in the gulpfile.js to be compiled, it doesn't work.
I am wondering if someone could help me over Skype or something that I could share my screen and that someone could fix this for me.
Here you can see that there are many scss files and there are two folders with components and mixins.
Some of the scss files also contain '#import' lines, but I do not know if I have to add those files in the gulpfile.
Here is a screenshot of the components folder:
I could not post a 3rd screenshot because of my reputation but the mixins folder contains the following files:
- _alerts.scss
- _buttons.scss
- _md-shadow.scss
- _placeholder.scss
I hope that someone could help me with this!
PS: It is in a Laravel project!
Thank you so much!
Kind regards,
smke
You can use Scout-App easily with sass and you should create a scss file without undescore (_) to import other scss file with underscore. In Scout-App you have to select input folder that include directory with scss files and select output folder where you want to be css file export.
Luckily, there's a SCSS to CSS converter online. Just go to http://www.cssportal.com/scss-to-css/ and copy the paste the code and press Compile. The CSS code will display below the button for you to copy and paste.
I have been trying to figure this out for the past couple of hours, but how do I integrate the plugin into a wordpress site?
Because the plugin itself does not have a specific directory to be placed, I am confused as to where the files need to be put in order for it to work. My explanation is pretty vague, as I haven't been able to upload any of the 3 files mentioned into wordpress as of yet.
so there are 3 files:
jquery.magnific-popup.js/ jquery.magnific-popup.min.js/ magnific-popup.css
The end product i need is essentially just a set of gallery items, not restricted by width or height, so I am able to have a website similar to this one here as reference: http://www.three-d-conceptwerke.com/
Each Gallery item opens a pop up that displays several images within each gallery, in which case each item is treated as a project containing several images.
That aside, without knowing how to integrate the files into wordpress, I am unable to work on it. Any clues?
It doesn't matter where you place them - just call the scripts and stylesheets in your header or add them into your functions.php.
E.g. if I uploaded them into a directory called external-plugins, I would just call them as
<link href="http://www.example.com/external-plugins/magnific-popup.css"> <script src="jquery.magnific-popup.min.js"></script>
And add your arguments below. Should work fine in your header.php
Edit: That link you posted pretty much explains everything you need to do - if you can't follow it, maybe you should hire somebody else to do it for you!
The instructions are pretty clear from the link you provided...
Create the directory magnific-popup in your theme’s directory. Download the MP CSS and JS files from GitHub and put both in the magnific-popup directory
You need either use an FTP client like Filezilla or use a File Manager from your hosting control panel to log into your site's file directory. Once you are there, navigate to your WordPress theme's directory wp-content/themes/your-theme/ and create a new directory named magnific-popup. Then upload your 3 files into that directory and follow the rest of the instructions to finish setting up your popup.

I've got a custom theme running on the latest stable Concrete5 version.
It's all working great - but tonight I've come to create a variation of an existing template.
Inside the theme/themename/ folder I copied the PHP file for the template.
In the theme/themename/css folder I copied the CSS file used by the existing template.
In the CMS itself I created a new pageType with the alias to match both the php and css file's filename I'd created by copying the previous files.
The PHP / template file is loading fine when chosen as the template for a page, but it's now loading in the associated CSS file.
Cache cleared but to no avail.
Can anyone give me any clues what I'm missing?
This usually is because the css and/or js is hardcoded in the header.
Check the html head (in the template) if the path to the css/js is correct.
i've created a new website under a working Magento install. The old website works fine, but the new one doesn't load the theme css. I can see it loads the .phtml files when enabling Template Path Hints.
I've already checked basic things 100 of times, so...
set theme to desired one
refresh Magento cache
check source code to see whats the css path
use i.e. firebug to see what css is being loaded
can you show your file structure?
whats the theme name?
In Interspire I copy a template & paste it then rename it & I customize it according to my theme but when i go into admin & in admin when i click on design mode then there should be site open for making changes but in my new template it is not open in proper way & I am not be able make changes in this mode please tell me why it is happening in my new template only. in standard template it is working properly. Please tell me the region why this is happening when i select my own template in design mode then there is an error in error-console error is :--- undefined xt/javascript">
After you paste the template, make sure the file is readable by the web server. Insufficient right is the main reason you are not able to modify it.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean about the copy and paste. But the best way to create an Interspire theme is to use the default folder or one of the other ready made templates and do the following:.
Let's say you decide to use the "default" theme. Copy the entire folder somewhere on your computer and rename the folder to the name you'd like your theme to have.
If you are changing specific files, copy those files from _master to the correct directories in your new theme folder.
Upload to your server and activate.
Your theme file names have to remain the same. i.e. you can't rename the files themselves, only the top level theme folder they are in.
Then you can open up the files and make your changes inside of them.
Even though it's possible. I stopped using the built in theme editor once we took the step to create our own theme. For one, doing so kept removing our custom panels when we hit the "save" button.
