Set a session variables using twig - php

I have a question. I have a route on my site where I put in session an variable like this:
public function userCaptcha(){
$_SESSION['isFacebookRegistration'] = 0;
}
Now I have another route witch render a view :
public function index(){
$this->session = $_SESSION;
return $this->render('template/index.twig');
}
In the index template I do :
{{ dump(session.isFacebookRegistration) }}
{% set session = session|merge({'isFacebookRegistration' : 3}) %}
I access the first route : userCaptcha() one time but the route index() 2 times, normally I need to see the first time 0 and the second 3. But I see only the 0 for 2 times. Can you help me please? The idea is to show for first time 0 for the rest 3. Thx in advance

You cannot set a PHP var on Twig side. Every time your view is reloaded, changes you made to your variable will be lost. You can try something like this:
public function userCaptcha(){
$_SESSION['isFacebookRegistration'] = 0;
}
public function index(){
if (isset($_SESSION['flag'])) {
$_SESSION['isFacebookRegistration'] = 3;
}
$_SESSION['flag'] = true;
$this->session = $_SESSION;
return $this->render('template/index.twig');
}
This way, executing index() for first time won't change isFacebookRegistration value, but will set a flag. Next time, the conditial will be true an isFacebookRegistration will change.

Pass query string to same method in controller in codeigniter

I am Trying To Reload Contents Of Page. Through link button Filter In PHP
By Passing Some Value Through Query String To Controller Method.
The Controller Method Loads The Same Page From Where I am Passing Query String.
But The View Is Not Reloading.
But If I Call The Controller Method Some Other View It Works Fine.
here is my code
mainview.php
English
maincontroller.php
Here Is The Index Method Of Controller.
$movielanguage=$this->input->get('language');
if(!empty($movielanguage))
{
$moviedata['popularmovies']=$this->main_model-
>getmoviebylanguage($movielanguage);
}
$moviedata['allmovies']=$this->main_model->getAllMovies();
$this->load->view('home/mainview.php',$moviedata);
}
Here View Does Not Refresh Its Contents
How Can I Solve This
Hope this will help you :
First if you want a single view ,should put you code it in if else condition and second assign your data in same variable
Your code should be like this :
public function index()
{
$movielanguage=$this->input->get('language');
if(! empty($movielanguage))
{
$moviedata['movies']=$this->main_model->getmoviebylanguage($movielanguage);
}
else
{
$moviedata['movies']=$this->main_model->getAllMovies();
}
$this->load->view('home/mainview.php',$moviedata);
}
Second : and if you want to add different view for different category of movies
You can do like this :
public function index()
{
$movielanguage=$this->input->get('language');
if(! empty($movielanguage))
{
$moviedata['popularmovies']=$this->main_model->getmoviebylanguage($movielanguage);
/*popularview is just an example*/
$this->load->view('home/popularview.php',$moviedata);
}
else
{
$moviedata['allmovies']=$this->main_model->getAllMovies();
/*allview is just an example*/
$this->load->view('home/allview.php',$moviedata);
}
}

Codeigniter : Logout issue

I am not actually login in to the page.But when i click on the services on index page for more services , show logout button instead of login.Please provide solution for this issue.
Controller:
public function more_services($serviceid)
{
$data = $this->data;
$this->load->helper(array('form','url'));
$id=$this->session->userdata('id');
$this->load->model('realpropertiesmodel');
$data['service']=$this->realpropertiesmodel->getServicesbyID($serviceid);
$this->smarty->view('service/service_viewdetails.tpl',$data);
}
public function logout()
{
$this->session->sess_destroy();
$data = $this->data;
redirect("realestate/index" ,'refresh');
}
In the view i add the following code:
[~if $id==''~]
[~include file="common/realestate_header.tpl"~]
[~else~]
[~include file="home/realestate_header.tpl"~]
[~/if~]
But i got the same error when add this much f code.Please provide solution for this issue
your id variable might be false so your check with "" might fail.
First solution:
Change the id variable as -1 if no login information is present:
$this->load->helper(array('form','url'));
$id= $this->session->userdata('id');
$id = ($id) ? $id : -1;
$this->load->model('realpropertiesmodel');
And then check for:
[~if $id!=-1~]
Second solution
Directly check for false:
[~if $id==false~]

cant get passed parameter by url in php

please help me, this is simple thing but I don't know why this still keep error for an hour,
on my view I've got :
<a href="admin/editProduct?idd=$id">
on my controller that directed from above :
public function editProduct(){
$data["id"] = $_GET['idd'];
$data["produk"] = $this->model_get->get_data_list(2);
//this below doesn't work either, i just want to past the parameter to my model
//$data["produk"] = $this->model_get->get_data_list($_GET['idd']);
$this->adminHeader();
$this->load->view("adminPages/editProduct", $data);
$this->adminFooter();
}
I can not use the array id. It keeps telling me undefined variable idd.
I don't know what to do anymore, please anyone help!
I am using Codeigniter framework
Change your view as:
<a href="admin/editProduct/<?php echo $id;?>">
And in the controller, either get the id as parameter,
public function editProduct($id) {
}
or as uri segment
public function editProduct() {
$id = $this->uri->segment(3);
}
Change your link (in view) with this
<a href="admin/editProduct/$id">
And change your controller as
public function editProduct($id) {
}
Then user $id inside your controller
Make the href link as follows:
...
And edit the controller like this:
public function editProduct($id){
...
$this->model_get->get_data_list($id);
}
Where $id will be the passed $id.
make
try this this works fine
public function editProduct()
{
$id=$this->uri->segment(3);
$data["produk"] = $this->model_get->get_data_list($id);
$this->adminHeader();
$this->load->view("adminPages/editProduct", $data);
$this->adminFooter();
}

Dynamic global array in codeigniter

I want a global array that I can access through controller functions, they can either add or delete any item with particular key. How do I do this? I have made my custom controller 'globals.php' and added it on autoload library.
<?php if ( ! defined('BASEPATH')) exit('No direct script access allowed');
$notification_array = array();
$config['notification'] = $notification_array;
?>
following function on controller should add new item to my array
function add_data(){
array_unshift($this->config->item('notification'), "sample-data");
}
after add_data adds to the global array, whenever following function is called from client, it should give the updated array to the client.
function send_json()
{
header('content-type: application/json');
$target = $this->config->item('notification');
echo json_encode($target);
}
But my client always gets empty array. How can I make this happen? Please help.
Hi take advantage of OOP, like this
// put MY_Controller.php under core directory
class MY_Controller extends CI_Controller{
public $global_array = array('key1'=>'Value one','key2'=>'Value2'):
public function __construct() {
parent::__construct();
}
}
//page controller
class Page extends MY_Controller{
public function __construct() {
parent::__construct();
}
function send_json()
{
header('content-type: application/json');
$target = $this->global_array['key1'];
echo json_encode($target);
}
}
One solution I came up is to use session, its easy to use and its "fast" you need to do some benchmarking.
As I commented on both answers above/below there is no way you get same data in different controllers just because with each request everything is "reset", and to get to different controller you need to at least reload tha page. (note, even AJAX call makes new request)
Note that sessions are limited by size, you have a limit of 4kb (CodeIgniter stores session as Cookie) but wait, there is way around, store them in DB (to allow this go to config file and turn it on $config['sess_use_database'] = TRUE; + create table you will find more here)
Well lets get to the answer itself, as I understand you tried extending all your controllers if no do it and place some code in that core/MY_Controller.php file
as follows:
private function _initJSONSession() { //this function should be run in MY_Controller construct() after succesful login, $this->_initJSONSession(); //ignore return values
$json_session_data = $this->session->userdata('json');
if (empty($json_session_data )) {
$json_session_data['json'] = array(); //your default array if no session json exists,
//you can also have an array inside if you like
$this->session->set_userdata($ses_data);
return TRUE; //returns TRUE so you know session is created
}
return FALSE; //returns FALSE so you know session is already created
}
you also need these few functions they are self explainatory, all of them are public so you are free to use them in any controller that is extended by MY_Controller.php, like this
$this->_existsSession('json');
public function _existsSession( $session_name ) {
$ses_data = $this->session->userdata( $session_name );
if (empty( $ses_data )) return FALSE;
return TRUE;
}
public function _clearSession($session_name) {
$this->session->unset_userdata($session_name);
}
public function _loadSession($session_name) {
return (($this->_existsSession( $session_name )) ? $this->session->userdata($session_name) : FALSE );
}
the most interesting function is _loadSession(), its kind of self explainatory it took me a while to fully understand session itself, well in a few words you need to get (load) data that are in session already, do something with it ([CRUD] like add new data, or delete some) and than put back (REWRITE) all data in the same session.
Lets go to the example:
keep in mind that session is like 2d array (I work with 4+5d arrays myself)
$session['session_name'] = 'value';
$session['json'] = array('id' => '1', 'name' => 'asok', 'some_array' => array('array_in_array' => array()), 'etcetera' => '...');
so to write new (rewrite) thing in session you use
{
$session_name = 'json';
$session_data[$session_name] = $this->_loadSession($session_name);
//manipulate with array as you wish here, keep in mind that your variable is
$session_data[$session_name]['id'] = '2'; // also keep in mind all session variables are (string) type even (boolean) TRUE translates to '1'
//or create new index
$session_data[$session_name]['new_index'] = FALSE; // this retypes to (string) '0'
//now put session in place
$this->session->set_userdata($session_data);
}
if you like to use your own function add_data() you need to do this
well you need to pass some data to it first add_data($arr = array(), $data = ''){}
eg: array_unshift( $arr, $data );
{
//your default array that is set to _initJSONSession() is just pure empty array();
$session_name = 'json';
$session_data[$session_name] = $this->_loadSession( $session_name );
// to demonstrate I use native PHP function instead of yours add_data()
array_unshift( $session_data[$session_name], 'sample-data' );
$this->session->set_userdata( $session_data );
unset( $session_data );
}
That is it.
You can add a "global" array per controller.
At the top of your controller:
public $notification_array = array();
Then to access it inside of different functions you would use:
$this->notification_array;
So if you want to add items to it, you could do:
$this->notification_array['notification'] = "Something";
$this->notification_array['another'] = "Something Else";

Codeigniter user profile URL

I have a controller called user which just loads the user profile page for now
class user extends CI_Controller {
public function __construct(){
parent::__construct();
}
public function index($username = null){
//load index page
$this->load->view('profile/index');
}
}
i have also routed it so i can load it from user/$username in routes
//user profiles pretty url
$route['user/(:any)'] = "user/index/$1";
the thing is i would like to change it and allow directly the users to go to their profiles without typing user/$username and instead $usernamd like mysite.com/$username...
I tried it but it messes up everything.how can i achieve this?
Thanks.
I guess the only way to achieve something like this is to add all other controllers to your routes file.
You could try something like this
$route['controller'] = "controller";
$route['controller/(:any)'] = "controller/$1";
$route['(:any)'] = "user/$1";
Combined with the _remap function as stated here. In your users controller.
Have you heard of the _remap function?
If you replace the index() function with this:
public function _remap($username = null) {
$this->load->view('profile/index');
}
It will probably work. You don't have to use the routes.php.
I used something like this for my users ; this "p" function in my users controller, mysite.com/users/p/$user_id , routes are good but I solved it like this, you could also do it do index function if you don't want something like "p"
function p()
{
$total_slashes = count ( $this->uri->segment_array () );
$last = end ( $this->uri->segments );
if ($total_slashes == 3) {
$data ['userdetails'] = $this->users_model->userDetails ( $last );
// $last is our user_id
$this->load->view('profile/index');
}
}
