I tried to enable PDO_OCI in whm cPanel through software -> Module insataller -> PHP Pecl but it shows error like
WARNING: "pear/PDO_OCI" is deprecated in favor of "channel://http://www.php.net/pdo_oci/ext/pdo_oci" pear/PDO_OCI requires PHP extension "pdo" (version >= 1.0) No valid packages found install failed The PDO_OCI.so object is not in /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525 Tidying /usr/local/lib/php.ini... No changes Tidying /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/php/54/etc/php.ini... No changes
Then i tried to install PDO and shows
WARNING: "pecl/PDO" is deprecated in favor of "channel://http://svn.php.net/viewvc/php/php-src/trunk/ext/pdo//ext/PDO" downloading PDO-1.0.3.tgz ... Starting to download PDO-1.0.3.tgz (52,613 bytes) .............done:
So please help me how can i enable PDO_OCI in my WHM cPanel.
When trying to print phpinfo() from my server it shows PDO is enabled.
If you got that far, you may just need to load the pdo_oci extension in cPanel's PHP configuration:
WHM -> Service Configuration -> PHP Configuration Editor
Advanced Mode
Find the "extension" section and add pdo_oci.so to the comma
separated list Save the PHP configuration
Check phpinfo() again - you should see pdo_oci available
If that does not work and you still have issues, you can always build the new (non-pecl) pdo_oci into cPanel's PHP manually as follows:
Ensure you have the Basic and Devel Instant Client installed (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/linuxx86-64soft-092277.html)
Create (or update) the rawopts file (example: /var/cpanel/easy/apache/rawopts/all_php5) for your PHP version to include this line: ---with-pdo-oci=shared,instantclient,/usr,12.1 (assuming you installed version 12.1 of the Oracle Instant Client using RPM)
In our case, the PHP LDAP module was checked in EasyApache, so I had to remove the LDAP module from the instant client install to prevent a conflict during compilation: rm /usr/include/oracle/12.1/client64/ldap.h
Rebuild your profile in EasyApache
If successful, add pdo_oci.so to the PHP configuration as outlined above
As noted, these steps are only applicable to cPanel.

I have verified the Microsoft drivers are in the PHP extension directory and attempted to include the following extensions (one at a time) in PHP.ini:
extension=php_sqlsrv_7_nts_x64.dll
extension=php_pdo_sqlsrv_7_nts_x64.dll
I have also tried other various SQL related extensions and restarted IIS and/or Windows with no success.
It appears that the SQLSRV dll files must match the version of your PHP. I installed PHP 7.1 and attempted to use Microsoft's 7.0 driver.
After locating the proper driver from GitHub.com/Microsoft/... it placed the "OK" next to the MS SQLSRV and enabled the "Next" button to continue the RoundCube WebMail install.

I'm trying to run a Symfony 3 app with php 7 installed from source and I'm getting a Missing PDO driver exception. According to http://pecl.php.net/package/PDO_MYSQL the PDO_MYSQL extension is now part of PHP core.
Q1.a) If I have the PDO_MYSQL extension (which I must, since its core) does that mean that I also have the mysql pdo driver?
Q2.b) Is there further runtime configuration I have to do to make sure that the driver gets used?
I've tried adding
extension=php_pdo.so
extension=php_pdo_mysql.so
to my loaded php.ini file.
Q2.a) Are these the correct extension names? How could I find out?
Q2.b)Do I even have to provide extension references for core php elements?
Finally:
Q3. How can I check whether my PHP install included the mysql pdo driver and how do I make sure that it is being loaded at runtime?
Thanks for your input.
Edit 1: I'm running on Linux Mint.
Edit 2: Here are a couple more details on what I'm seeing on my end:
"On starting up the built in php server I get the following message:
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20151012/php_pdo.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20151012/php_pdo.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20151012/php_pdo_mysql.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20151012/php_pdo_mysql.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0"
This message suggests to me that either the extension references are incorrect or the extension does not exist. I used "dpkg -L php-mysql" and found that the package was installed in "/usr/share/doc/php-mysql" however, when I check in the php-mysql directory, all I see is a changelog and a copyright file (with hiddens shown). Is this the true install location of the package and, if so, should there be more in this directory?
.so implies you are on Linux - did you install PHP as a package. You probably need to install the pdo/mysql package - PHP libraries may be "core", but not necessarily in the main package (confusing, but it just means it's not PEAR delivered, really).
sudo apt-get install php5-mysql
Or, if you're running PHP7:
sudo apt-get install php-mysql
This should restart the apache automatically, but to be sure you could do:
sudo service apache2 restart
The package installer for php-mysql should have put the .so libraries in /usr/lib/php/yyyymmdd/ - if you had installed PHP as a package, it would be looking here.
However, since you installed from source, it seems that PHP is looking elsewhere for the libraries. You can create symlinks from /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20151012/ to the package installed libraries.
I have RabbitMQ running on one of our servers and am trying to connect to it via PHP. I am developing on a Windows7 machine and my first line of code reads:
$cnn = new AMQPConnection();
It gives me the error:
Fatal error: Class 'AMQPConnection' not found in
I know that it is something that I need to install but what is it ? I am new to PHP so a little help would be nice.
Ps: I can connect to the RMQ server via the RabbitMQ admin web interface.
Thank you
Jack
Installation guide for php_amqp 1.4.0 (Stable version):
Download proper package for your php version from https://pecl.php.net/package/amqp/1.4.0/windows
Unpack php_amqp.dll to X:/php/ext/ directory
Unpack rabbitmq.1.dll to X:/Windows/system (not system32) directory
Modify php.ini file and add "extension=php_amqp.dll" line at the end of extensions list
Verify module installation by executing command "X:/php/php.exe -m" in command line
Restart webserver
I am developing on a Windows7 machine
You may be out of luck using that specific code. That class is from the PECL aqmp extension. Inside the installation instructions, it states:
Note to Windows users: This extension does not currently support Windows since the librabbitmq library does not yet support Windows.
You will want to use another library to speak to your message queue instead.
The rabbitmq-c library supports windows now, and the php_amqp pecl extension builds on windows as well. The documentation just hasn't been updated, nor are there any official binary builds in the wild. However, I managed to get them to build and have some 32 bit dll's available for download here:
http://www.nathanjohnson.info/?p=77
# AMQP installation php.net:
Note to Windows users: This extension does not currently support Windows since the librabbitmq library does not yet support Windows.
But here at RabbitMQ website is a windows installer...
Apparently this php.net page is outdated
To install do like this:
Download the correct package for your php from this official PECL amqp 1.4.0 page
unzip
add amqp.dll to your php ext folder
add rabbitmq.1.dll to your windows system 32 folder.
This according to the post on the blog I found here i think it is from the same #NathanJohnson who posted also here.
How I got it working:
My System Config: Win 7 Pro, (x64) XAMPP running PHP 5.6(x86)
Follow instruction from here to install RabbitMQ:
https://www.rabbitmq.com/install-windows.html
Now download compatible extension from here
https://pecl.php.net/package/amqp/1.4.0/windows
in my case it is "5.6 Thread Safe (TS) x86"
Now from zip file (php_amqp-1.4.0-5.6-ts-vc11-x86.zip) downloaded copy dll "php_amqp.dll" to your php extension folder in my case it is "xampp/php/ext" and copy dll "rabbitmq.1.dll" to "Windows\system" directory.
now register your php_amqp dll in php.ini file as
"extension=php_amqp.dll"
now restart apache.
Done. Now you should not get AMQPConnection not found exception.
I have installed Lampp on my linux system, and I am learning symfony2, while trying to create the schema with symfony2 command
php app/console doctrine:schema:create
I am getting the following error message:-

I also uncomment this line extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll in php.ini file
I tried to look and google my issue but couldn't resolve my problem. when i run php -m command i am getting the following result:-

Is there a way i can remove this issue ?
In Ubuntu, write in the console
sudo apt-get install php5-gd php5-mysql
and it will work
Hope you are running your project in localhost. In your project folder app/config a file named parameters.ini , Make sure that your Mysql database connection cofiguration is correct. If you are using mysql See database_driver=pdo_mysql is its driver.
Below is an example.
database_driver = pdo_mysql
database_host = localhost
database_port =
database_name = databasename
database_user = msqlusername
database_password = mysqlpassword//if not make blank
mailer_transport = smtp
mailer_host = localhost
mailer_user =
mailer_password =
locale = en
secret = ThisTokenIsNotSoSecretChangeIt
Hope it helps you.
You need to have a module called pdo_mysql.
Look for the following in phpinfo() output,
pdo_mysql => PDO Driver for MySQL, client library version => 5.1.44
to install pdo_mysql you need to do this:
pecl install pdo
pecl install pdo_mysql
and then add the following to your php.ini file:
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so
brew install php70-pdo-pgsql
in case you installed php7 on mac with brew and, change php version according to what you have installed.
if you are using XAMPP then in php.ini file line no 897(depends on version),
;extension=php_pdo_pgsql.dll
uncomment it , then it appears like below
extension=php_pdo_pgsql.dll
in php.ini file line no 897, then restart XAMPP.
There are two PHP versions installed in my server PHP 5.6 and PHP 7
When I run the command php app/console doctrine:schema:update I have the error : [PDOException] could not find driver
I resolve this error by specifying the PHP version:
php5.6 app/console doctrine:schema:update
Looks like your install is missing the .so files it needs to implement the mysql connection. If you're using a package management system to install PHP then make sure you've installed all the necessary submodules (in this case I think you'll need mysql-dev, and the various PHP PDO modules), though such dependencies should have been resolved for you by the package manager.
If you didn't go through a package manager, then you'll have to compile the required .so files from source.
I had the same problem and for me, it was having multiple PHP versions.
So specifying the full address of the PHP solved the problem.
Adding to Jaspreet Chahal's answer.
When installing PDO as a shared module, the php.ini file needs to be updated so that the PDO extension will be loaded automatically when PHP runs. You will also need to enable any database specific drivers there too; make sure that they are listed after the pdo.so line, as PDO must be initialized before the database-specific extensions can be loaded. If you built PDO and the database-specific extensions statically, you can skip this step(Source).
What I mean is, it should look something like this -
extension=pdo.so should be placed before the extensions of the different database drivers.
Maybe you forget to install doctrine/dbal
composer update
composer require doctrine/dbal
if it didn't work go to your php.ini (according to current version)
and remove ";"
;extension=pdo_mysql.so
after upgrading from PHP5.2.6 to php 5.3. it seams, I also have to reinstall the PHP memcache-module.
So I downloaded the newest version of memcache (3.0.6) and followed this documentation:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.pecl.pear.php
pecl install memcache
Which results in the following error-message:
No releases available for package "pecl.php.net/memcache"
install failed
what's going on here? By the way: the server is not connected to the Internet, but that shouldn't be a problem, right?!
To answer my own question an for rising the intellectual horizon of #OZ_ and #martswite
an offline-installation of an pecl extension works like the following way:
1.) download the extension from http://pecl.php.net/packages.php
2.) there you get an .tgz file
3.) install the file:
pear install memcache-3.0.6.tgz
PECL modules are (by default, and most of the time) downloaded from a non-local repository.
Therefore you will need some form of internet connection to download it.
Alternatively you can upload the pecl package from your machine to a location on the servers local file system and install it from there, or compile from source.
To me this error was caused due to php without support for ssl.
Enable openssl or recompile with openssl built int.
Check php support in a Linux host run
php -i | grep openssl
Should print a line with openssl if support enabled.
