I'm trying to add Dropzone Extension to my application in Yii, which allows asynchronous file uploading. http://www.yiiframework.com/extension/yii-dropzone/
The first thing i did was putting the downloaded folder called "dropzone" into my extensions folder "C:\xampp\htdocs\site\protected\extensions".
And here is my code for the action in the controller (MainController.php)
public function actionUpload()
{
$test = rand(100000, 999999); //TEST
var_dump($test);
$model = new UploadFile;
if(isset($_FILES['images'])){
$model->images = CUploadedFile::getInstancesByName('images');
$path = Yii::getPathOfAlias('webroot').'/uploads/';
//Save the images
foreach($model->images as $image)
{
$image->saveAs($path);
}
}
$this->render('upload', array('model' => $model));
}
the view (upload.php)
<?php
$this->widget('ext.dropzone.EDropzone', array(
'model' => $model,
'attribute' => 'images',
'url' => $this->createUrl('file/upload'),
'mimeTypes' => array('image/jpeg', 'image/png'),
'options' => array(),
));
?>
and the model (UploadFile.php)
<?php
class UploadFile extends CFormModel
{
public $images;
public function rules(){
return array
(
array(
"images",
'file',
'types' => 'jpg,gif,png',
),
);
}
}
When I run it I can see the Dropzone interface and I can add images dragging them or selection them from the file explorer.
It appears their respective progress bar and a success mark, but nothing appear in the directory of uploads, and any error is shown neither in the IDE (Netbeans) nor in the Chrome console.
I did some print tests and I realize that the code inside the 'actionUpload' is being executed only the first time (when it draws the view), but when its called from the dropzone widget it do nothing.
I'd really appreciate if you have a solution for this. I'd love if someone could give me a simple working example of this extension. Thanks.
As I understand, dropzone uploads files one by one, not all together. So $model->images holds only one image object. And foreach cycle fails.

I am making like a dropbox clone for a school project, i made an upload fuction that uploads to the local disk so it cant be accessed by everyone.
Upload Function
public function updatedUpload($upload){
$object = $this->currentTeam->objects()->make(['parent_id' => $this->object->id]);
$object->objectable()->associate(
$this->currentTeam->files()->create([
'name' => $upload->getClientOriginalName(),
'size' => $upload->getSize(),
'path' => $upload->storePublicly('files', ['disk' => 'local'])
])
);
$object->save();
$this->object = $this->object->fresh();
}
But I want to put it in an in the home.blade.
How do I make this and only the person who uploaded it can access it?
You can create a specific link for the user that can see this resource.
For example in your routes/web.php
Route::get('/private_resource',[\App\Http\Controllers\PrivateResource::class, 'getLocalResource'])
->name('get_private_resource')->middleware('auth');
Define PrivateResource controller
class PrivateResource
{
public function getLocalResource($filename){
// Get your resource, for example
$file = File::where('name', $filename)->first();
// Check whether user can access this resource
// For example
if(\Auth::id() != $file->user_id) abort(403);
return \Storage::disk('local')->download($filename);
}
}
Extra: If you want extra privacy, you can use signed route using below function.
\URL::signedRoute('get_private_resource');
And add signed middleware to your route
Route::get('/private_resource',[\App\Http\Controllers\PrivateResource::class, 'getLocalResource'])
->name('get_private_resource')->middleware('auth','signed');
I use this yii2 module for an image uploading purposes.
My upload folder is:
C:\XAMPP\HTDOCS\MYAPPNAME\WEB\UPLOAD
├───cache
├───global
└───store
└───Products
└───Product15
Where store is the folder for original pictures and the cache is for the resized ones. yii2-images is configured like this:
'yii2images' => [
'class' => 'rico\yii2images\Module',
//be sure, that permissions ok
//if you cant avoid permission errors you have to create "images" folder in web root manually and set 777 permissions
'imagesStorePath' => 'upload/store', //path to origin images
'imagesCachePath' => 'upload/cache', //path to resized copies
'graphicsLibrary' => 'GD', //but really its better to use 'Imagick'
'placeHolderPath' => '#webroot/upload/store/no-image.png', // if you want to get placeholder when image not exists, string will be processed by Yii::getAlias
],
and my Product model upload method is:
public function upload()
{
if ($this->validate()) {
$path = 'upload/store/' . $this->image->baseName . '.' . $this->image->extension;
$this->image->saveAs($path);
$this->attachImage($path);
#unlink($path);
return true;
} else {
return false;
}
}
Uploading images work. I mean, they fisically appear where they should. I load image
<?php $img = $model->getImage(); ?>
and in my DetailView widget instead of 'img':
[
'attribute' => 'image',
'value' => "<img src='{$img->getUrl()}'>",
'format' => 'html',
],
And what I get instead of a rendered image is:
image-by-item-and-alias?item=Product15&dirtyAlias=71273544a6-1.jpg
I have no idea where this "image-by-item-and-aliasitem=Product15&dirtyAlias?" part even comes from when it actually must be something like:
Products\Product15\71273544a6-1.jpg
and given format html parameter it must therefore render an image.
Can you please pinpoint me to the source of this error?
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my validation, but I'm not sure.
I have created a file upload that uploads the file to S3. Works fine except when I need to validate python files.
In my FileUploadController.php I have a store(FileStoreRequest $request) method that handles the upload. I added the $validatedData = $request->validate(); in it and it works.
I have also added the mimes.php in config folder with the following:
<?php
return [
'zip' => array('application/x-zip', 'application/zip', 'application/x-zip-compressed'),
'py' => array('text/plain', 'application/x-python' , 'application/octet-stream, application/x-python-code, text/x-python-script', 'text/x-python'),
];
And the rules() method inside my FileStoreRequest class is
public function rules()
{
return [
'preprocessor' => 'mimes:py',
];
}
Any time I try to upload the python file I get the error
The preprocessor must be a file of type: py.
When I remove the mimes check from the rules() it passes.
The rules work, because I tested it on another view for zip file upload.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
You can create custom validation like:
$input = $request->all();
if (isset($input["preprocessor"]) && !empty($input["preprocessor"])) {
$filesource = $input["preprocessor"];
$fileExtension = $filesource->getClientOriginalExtension();
$input["ext"] = $fileExtension;
}
$rules = array(
'ext' => 'nullable|in:py',
);
I created new resources with this code:
class WebserviceRequest extends WebserviceRequestCore {
public static function getResources(){
$resources = parent::getResources();
// if you do not have class for your table
$resources['test'] = array('description' => 'Manage My API', 'specific_management' => true);
$resources['categoryecommerce'] = array('description' => 'o jacie marcin', 'class' => 'CategoryEcommerce');
$mp_resource = Hook::exec('addMobikulResources', array('resources' => $resources), null, true, false);
if (is_array($mp_resource) && count($mp_resource)) {
foreach ($mp_resource as $new_resources) {
if (is_array($new_resources) && count($new_resources)) {
$resources = array_merge($resources, $new_resources);
}
}
}
ksort($resources);
return $resources;
}
}
And new class:
class CategoryEcommerceCore extends ObjectModelCore {
public $category_id;
public $category_core_id;
public static $definition = array(
'table' => "category_ecommerce",
'primary' => 'category_id',
'fields' => array(
'category_core_id' => array('type' => self::TYPE_INT),
)
);
protected $webserviceParameters = array();
}
Webservice is override properly. My class WebserviceRequest is copying to
/override/classes/webservice/WebserviceRequest
but class isn't copying to /override/classes/ when i installing my module.
How to add new resourcess with own logic ? I want to add categories within relation to my table.
Regards
Martin
As soon as there is literally nothing regarding the API except Webkul tutorial... I tried to implement the "Webkul's" tutorial, but also failed. However seems that it's better to use hooks instead of overrides. I used my "reverse engineering skills" to determine the way to create that API, so-o-o-o, BEHOLD! :D
Let's assume you have a custom PrestaShop 1.7 module. Your file is mymodule.php and here are several steps.
This is an install method wich allows you to register the hook within database (you can uninstall and reinstall the module for this method to be executed):
public function install() {
parent::install();
$this->registerHook('addWebserviceResources');
return true;
}
Add the hook listener:
public function hookAddWebserviceResources($resources) {
$added_resources['test'] = [
'description' => 'Test',
'specific_management' => true,
];
return $added_resources;
}
That specific_management option shows you are going to use WebsiteSpecificManagement file instead of database model file.
Create WebsiteSpecificManagement file, called WebsiteSpecificManagementTest (Test - is CamelCased name of your endpoint). You can take the skeleton for this file from /classes/webservice/WebserviceSpecificManagementSearch.php. Remove everything except:
setObjectOutput
setWsObject
getWsObject
getObjectOutput
setUrlSegment
getUrlSegment
getContent (should return $this->output; and nothing more)
manage - you should rewrite it to return/process the data you want.
Add
include_once(_PS_MODULE_DIR_.'YOURMODULENAME/classes/WebserviceSpecificManagementTest.php');
to your module file (haven't figured out how to include automatically).
Go to /Backoffice/index.php?controller=AdminWebservice and setup the new "Auth" key for your application, selecting the test endpoint from the permissions list. Remember the key.
Visit /api/test?ws_key=YOUR_KEY_GENERATED_ON_STEP_4 and see the XML response.
Add &output_format=JSON to your URL to see the response in JSON.
You have to use something like $this->output = json_encode(['blah' => 'world']) within manage method at WebsiteSpecificManagementTest.
I'm using CakePHP 2.3.6 and just added Miles Johnson's image uploader.
Everything seems to work when I use my View to upload a photo I get a success return.
A file gets created with the right name, so formatName function seams to work.
But the size of the created file is always only 56bytes. No matter how big the originally uploaded file was.
I have the strong feeling that there is something wrong with user rights or with configuration of apache server that it maybe does't alow upload.
Does anybody know what could let me create a file but not put content into this file?
On the Uploader Howto there is nothing said about any changes I would have to do on apache or php configuration.
View:
<?php
echo $this->Form->create('Site');
echo $this->Form->input('startpageImage', array('type' => 'file'));
echo $this->Form->end('Submit');
?>
Model:
public $actsAs = array(
'Uploader.Attachment' => array(
'startpageImage' => array(
'tempDir' => TMP,
'finalPath' => '/img/uploads/',
'nameCallback' => 'formatName',
)
)
);
public function formatName($name, $file) {
return sprintf('%s-%s', $this->field('id'), $name);
}
I wrote a email to Miles Jones and he found the mistake immediately:
View:
<?php
echo $this->Form->create('Site', array('type' => 'file'));
echo $this->Form->input('startpageImage', array('type' => 'file'));
echo $this->Form->end('Submit');
?>
I forgot the
, array('type' => 'file')
in the first line of Form.
No black magic, no rocket science... :)
