I'm trying to parse json data which is sent from a php page using jquery but what I get in result is : {
I don't know how to fix it,
I'm creating json data in php like below code :
$load_op_cm = $DBM -> RunQuery("SELECT * FROM at_ops_cmnts WHERE op_id='$op_id'",true,false);
$row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($load_op_cm);
$j_result = json_encode($row);
echo $j_result;
And I'm trying to parse this data using jquery which I'm using Jquery post method to send data and get response , And I'm trying to get this part of data which is useful for me : cm_1_1 : 1
not just this one but all of cm_ variables with their values.
when I show the response in html format it's like :
this is my jquery code :
$(function(){
var vop_id = localStorage.getItem('op_id');
$.post("Requests/OPS.php", //Required URL of the page on server
{ // Data Sending With Request To Server
Load_OP_CM : true,
op_id : vop_id
},
function(response){ // Required Callback Function
var result = response;
$.each(result, function (i,elem) {
$("#Response").text(elem);
});
});
Any suggestion how to get that data ?
Firstly you would need to parse your JSON string var result = JSON.parse(response);.
Then when you iterate through you would need to filter the results to only include the keys that contain 'cm_'
var filter = "cm_";
$.each(result, function (i,elem) {
if(i.indexOf(filter) !== -1) {
console.log(i, elem);
// Or whatever you need to do…
}
});

I would like to use an autocompletion in my application. I'm trying to use the jquery UI completion but nothing happens. I made an ajax to get all columns with a specific variable written by the user. The query is working, I have my array with all my columns back from the server. With this query reponse, I tried to do the jquery autocompletion in the success ajax but as I said nothing is happening.
Do you have an idea?
function autoCompleteRegate(){
$("#code_regate").keyup(function() {
// AJAX de l'auto-complete
var source = '/gestion/gestDepot/ajaxautocompleteregate';
var codeRegate = $("#code_regate").val();
$.ajax({
type : "POST",
url : source,
async : false,
dataType : 'json',
data : {
'codeRegate' : codeRegate
},
success : function(response) {
var availableTags = response;
$("#code_regate").autocomplete({
source: availableTags
});
}
});
});
public function ajaxautocompleteregateAction()
{
$this->_helper->layout->disableLayout();
$this->_helper->viewRenderer->setNoRender();
$params = $this->_getAllParams();
$codeRegate = $params['codeRegate'];
$oDepotService = new Services_Depot();
$response = $oDepotService->searchCodeRegate($codeRegate);
echo json_encode($response);
}
Network query - form
Exemple of nothing happening
The answer from the server
You have to directly pass the cd_regate array instead of a multidimensional array. One workaround is you could process the json output on the backend side :
public function ajaxautocompleteregateAction()
{
$this->_helper->layout->disableLayout();
$this->_helper->viewRenderer->setNoRender();
$params = $this->_getAllParams();
$codeRegate = $params['codeRegate'];
$oDepotService = new Services_Depot();
$response = $oDepotService->searchCodeRegate($codeRegate);
$json = [];
foreach ($response as $key => $value) {
array_push($json, $value->cd_regate); // the output will be "[774970, 774690, 774700,... ]"
}
echo json_encode($json);
}
I would suggest the following for your JavaScript:
$("#code_regate").autocomplete({
source: function(request, response){
$.ajax({
type : "POST",
url : '/gestion/gestDepot/ajaxautocompleteregate',
async : false,
dataType : 'json',
data : {
'codeRegate' : request.term
},
success : function(data) {
response(data);
}
});
}
});
This uses a function as a Source. From the API:
Function: The third variation, a callback, provides the most flexibility and can be used to connect any data source to Autocomplete, including JSONP. The callback gets two arguments:
A request object, with a single term property, which refers to the value currently in the text input. For example, if the user enters "new yo" in a city field, the Autocomplete term will equal "new yo".
A response callback, which expects a single argument: the data to suggest to the user. This data should be filtered based on the provided term, and can be in any of the formats described above for simple local data. It's important when providing a custom source callback to handle errors during the request. You must always call the response callback even if you encounter an error. This ensures that the widget always has the correct state.
When filtering data locally, you can make use of the built-in $.ui.autocomplete.escapeRegex function. It'll take a single string argument and escape all regex characters, making the result safe to pass to new RegExp().
When 1 or more letters are entered into the text field, this will be passed to the function under request.term and you can POST that to your script via AJAX. When you get the result data, it must be in an Array or an Object with the right format.
I want to send an array to PHP (POST method) using jQuery.
This is my code to send a POST request:
$.post("insert.php", {
// Arrays
customerID: customer,
actionID: action
})
This is my PHP code to read the POST data:
$variable = $_POST['customerID']; // I know this is vulnerable to SQLi
If I try to read the array passed with $.post, I only get the first element.
If I inspect the POST data with Fiddler, I see that the web server answers with "500 status code".
How can I get the complete array in PHP?
Thanks for your help.
To send data from JS to PHP you can use $.ajax :
1/ Use "POST" as type, dataType is what kind of data you want to receive as php response, the url is your php file and in data just send what you want.
JS:
var array = {
'customerID': customer,
'actionID' : action
};
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
dataType: "json",
url: "insert.php",
data:
{
"data" : array
},
success: function (response) {
// Do something if it works
},
error: function(x,e,t){
// Do something if it doesn't works
}
});
PHP:
<?php
$result['message'] = "";
$result['type'] = "";
$array = $_POST['data']; // your array
// Now you can use your array in php, for example : $array['customerID'] is equal to 'customer';
// now do what you want with your array and send back some JSON data in your JS if all is ok, for example :
$result['message'] = "All is ok !";
$result['type'] = "success";
echo json_encode($result);
Is it what you are looking for?
I want to send a Hindi message from my custom php page. For this I have used a ajax request.
How to encode it in JavaScript before sending in ajax and decode it in php function?
EDIT
Here is my code :
...
var message = ''; // here I am getting content from form field dynamically
var ajaxBlockUrl = '/my.php?action=custom&mobile=999999999&message='+message;
Ajax.Request(ajaxBlockUrl,
{
parameters: {isAjax: 'true', form_key: FORM_KEY},
onSuccess: function(response)
{
//
}
});
...
I have this jquery function
function updateStatus(){
$.getJSON("<?php echo $_SESSION['filnavn']; ?>", function(data){
var items = [];
pbvalue = 0;
if(data){
var total = data['total'];
var current = data['current'];
var pbvalue = Math.floor((current / total) * 100);
if(pbvalue>0){
$("#progressbar").progressbar({
value:pbvalue
});
}
}
if(pbvalue < 100){
t = setTimeout("updateStatus()", 500);
}
});
}
Is it possible to get the JSON from a PHP session variable instead of a json file?
As I have understood I can get the session data from the session like this:
//json test
var jsonstr = $_SESSION['json_status'];
//parse json
var data = JSON.parse(jsonstr);
But I do not know how I can do that with out the getJSON function?
You're reading too much into it. .getjson is just a $.ajax() call that EXPECTS to get a json reponse from the server. That's all.
It doesn't matter WHERE PHP gets data from, as long as it spits out json text.
Whether that json text was just retrieved from a file/db, or dynamically generated with json_encode(), as long as the browser receives json text, things will "work".
Your best bet here is to create a php file that can act as the target of getJSON that returns the json from your session.
<?php
session_start();
if (isset($_SESSION["filnavn"])){
echo $_SESSION["filnavn"];
// Or, if the key contains an object instead of a json string, use
// echo json_encode($_SESSION["filavn"]);
} else {
// echo the json you want here if the session variable is not set
echo "{}";
}
?>
Then in your jquery code change the getJSON to this
$.getJSON("/path/to/php/file.php", function(data){...});
I have a table that has sortable rows. The table is generated from a mysql database that has a field called "displayorder" that oders the table. When the user drags and drops rows, I want to use AJAX to submit those changes to the database whenever a user drops a row.
Currently, I can see the console.log() output from the success part of the AJAX call, and when i output the data there (order) it looks great, like this:
["order_1=1", "order_2=2", "order_4=3", "order_3=4"]
But according to Firebug, all that's getting passed in the $_POST is "undeclared".
How do I access that order variable from my indexpage_order.php file?
I have this jquery code:
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
var fixHelper = function(e, tr) {
var $originals = tr.children();
var $helper = tr.clone();
$helper.children().each(function(index)
{
$(this).width($originals.eq(index).width())
});
return $helper;
};
var sortable = $("#sort tbody").sortable({
helper: fixHelper,
stop: function(event, ui) {
//create an array with the new order
order = $(this).find('input').map(function(index, obj) {
var input = $(obj);
input.val(index + 1);
return input.attr('id') + '=' + (index + 1);
});
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'indexpage_order.php',
data: order,
error: function() {
console.log("Theres an error with AJAX");
},
success: function(order) {
console.log("Saved.");
console.log(order);
}
});
return false;
}
});
});
</script>
indexpage_order.php contains:
if(isset($_POST) ) {
while ( list($key, $value) = each($_POST) ) {
$id = trim($key,'order_'); //trim off order_
$sqlCommand =
"UPDATE indexpage
SET displayorder = '".$value."'
WHERE id = '".$id."'";
$query = mysqli_query($myConnection,$sqlCommand) or die (mysqli_error($myConnection));
$row = mysqli_fetch_array($query);
}
}
You can simply rewrite the js code that are generating the data for POST.
order = {}
$(this).find('input').map(function(index, obj)
{
return order[this.id] = index;
}
)
Rest should work in PHP.
Try $_REQUEST instead of $_POST on the PHP file for POST method with ajax.
convert the js array order to json object as ajax data needs to be in json using JSON.stringify. hence, it needs to be data:JSON.stringify(order), in the ajax function.
Or, use json_encode like this data: <?php echo json_encode(order); ?>, in the ajax function
order is an array. Convert the order to query string like this in your ajax script,
data: order.join('&'),
It looks like your sending your order in a JavaScript array
And when it arrives at your PHP, its unreadable.
If its an object look into the json_decode function.
If its an array, serialize the data before it goes, then unserialize on the php side.
PHP is unable to understand JavaScript array or objects unless they are encoded/serialized correctly.
