Fatal Error On Zend Project Live On Server Random - php

I have a Zend2 project running on my localhost with no problems. The app runs perfect. I Uploaded it to my server and now it gets a fatal error but not every time.
Sometimes it says this,
Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /home/public_html/vendor/zendframework/zend-stdlib/src/ArrayObject.php on line 230
public function getIterator()
{
$class = $this->iteratorClass;
return new $class($this->storage); // line 230
}
And sometimes it says this,
File
/vendor/zendframework/zend-stdlib/src/ArrayObject.php:184
Message:
Passed variable is not an array or object, using empty array instead
Never both and sometimes it loads perfectly with no problems. The file it references is in the vendor path this is the link,
public function exchangeArray($data)
{
if (!is_array($data) && !is_object($data)) {
throw new Exception\InvalidArgumentException('Passed variable is not an array or object, using empty array instead');
} // Line 184
if (is_object($data) && ($data instanceof self || $data instanceof \ArrayObject)) {
$data = $data->getArrayCopy();
}
if (!is_array($data)) {
$data = (array) $data;
}
$storage = $this->storage;
$this->storage = $data;
return $storage;
}
Any ideas why this would happen on a live server with a zend site but not on a localhost?
I found this post on github which I think it related to ZFCUser
Git Hub Post
Someone in the comments says this,
This issue is caused by the layout.phtml when there is an error. The layout needs to render but it doesn't have $this->url
I have no clue what he is talking about. Is anyone able to shoot me in the right direction?

This happens only on live server: Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function signin() on boolean in

Confession:
I read many similar questions on this platform, but nothing seems closely aligned to my situation. Most of the questions seem to originate from binding params in prepared statements or execute statement.
In my case, the website runs smooth on a local server(Apache2). However, it throws the error below when published on live server.
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function signin() on boolean in /storage/ssd5/815/17670815/app/controllers/signin.php:16 Stack trace: #0 /storage/ssd5/815/17670815/app/core/app.php(33): Signin->index() #1 /storage/ssd5/815/17670815/public_html/index.php(4): App->__construct() #2 {main} thrown in /storage/ssd5/815/17670815/app/controllers/signin.php on line 16
Context
I'm using MVC (OOP) in PHP and here the relevant parts mentioned in the error. I hope this is not too much.
In the main index page, the line referred in the error is a core class(App) instantiation
<?php
session_start();
require_once '../app/initializer.php';
$app = new App(); //this is the line 4 mentioned in the error
In Signin controller class the line referred in the error is indicated below
<?php
class Signin extends Controller{
function index(){
//you can do this if passing data to view
$data["Page_title"] = "Signin";
if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == "POST"){
// this is a debuggin code
//echo "I am signin controller <br />";
// show($_POST);
$user = $this->loadModel("User");
$user->signin($_POST); //this the line referred in the error
}
$this->view("zac/signin",$data);
}
}
In class APP the line is a callback - check below
<?php
class App {
private $controller = "home";
private $method = "index";
private $params = [];
public function __construct()
{
$url = $this->splitURL();
if(file_exists("../app/controllers/".strtolower($url[0]).".php")){
$this->controller = strtolower($url[0]);
//unset the array position
unset($url[0]);
}
require "../app/controllers/".$this->controller.".php";
// echo file_get_contents('http://smart-ecom.000webhostapp.com/app/controllers/'.$this->controller.".php");
//Create instance of whatever controller class is passed(if it exists, otherwise the home controller)
$this->controller = new $this->controller;
if(isset($url[1])){
if(method_exists($this->controller, $url[1])){
$this->method =$url[1];
unset($url[1]);
}
}
$this->params = array_values($url);
call_user_func_array([$this->controller, $this->method],$this->params); //this is line 33
}
/**
* splitURL gets url from browser and processes against the conroller classes and their methods
* #return array
*/
private function splitURL(){
//check if the the GET is set otherwise set the url to defualt class home
$url = isset($_GET['url']) ? $_GET['url'] :"home";
// return explode("/",filter_var(trim($_GET['url'],"/"), FILTER_SANITIZE_URL));
return explode("/",filter_var(trim($url,"/"), FILTER_SANITIZE_URL));
}
}
?>
The Database class's read function is as follows. This method isn't directly referred in the error message
public function read($query, $data = []){
$stmt = self::$conn->prepare($query);
$result = $stmt->execute($data);
if($result){
$data = $stmt->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);
if(is_array($data) && count($data) > 0){
return $data;
}
}
return false;
}
As I mentioned earlier, this error fires on a live server but the website runs smooth in dev environment with PHP 7.4, Apache2, MySQL 8 Windows 10.
Your help is match appreciated in advance.
I learned this the hard way and I hope this can help someone with similar issues. The cause of the error because of how windows and Linux deals with case sensitivity in file names. In Windows, file names aren't case sensitive while in Linux - they are. So, that was the reason why the website was running smooth in the local dev environment(Windows machine) but throwing an error on a live server(which is Linux). To see the difference, refer to my earlier comment in this thread.
protected function loadModel($model){
if(file_exists("../app/models/". strtolower($model) . ".class.php")){
include "../app/models/".strtolower($model).".class.php";
return $model = new $model();
}else{
return false;
}
}
}
In the "include" line, you can see that I added the strtolower function to include the proper model and that solved the issue.

Elasticsearch doesn't index something in a php application

I've a problem using elasticsearch in a php application. The application is built with zend and uses a .env to hold the following configuration:
ELASTICSEARCH_MAX_DOCUMENTS=250
ELASTICSEARCH_MAX_BULK_SIZE=3M
ELASTICSEARCH_HOST=my-elasticsearch.intern.rz
ELASTICSEARCH_PORT=80
ELASTICSEARCH_USER=user
ELASTICSEARCH_PASSWORD=pw
The call to index the new files is part of a import service class and looks like this:
public function flush(FlushInterface $flushInterface = null) {
$bulk = $this->getSearchDocumentBulk();
if (!empty($bulk->getActions())) {
$response = $bulk->send();
$this->resetSearchDocumentBulk();
if (0 === $response->count()) {
$data = $response->getData();
throw new BulkException(isset($data['message']) ? strip_tags($data['message']) : '');
}
}
$this->documentCache = [];
if ($flushInterface instanceof FlushInterface) {
$flushInterface->flush();
}
return $this;
}
protected function getSearchDocumentBulk() {
if (!($this->searchDocumentBulk instanceof Bulk)) {
$this->searchDocumentBulk = new Bulk($this->getSearchClient()->getClient());
$this->searchDocumentBulk->setIndex(self::INDEX);
}
return $this->searchDocumentBulk;
}
I know it's only a short snippet but it's quite difficult to pull out the relevant code. So please let me know if I have to post some more methods.
The application is started by a symfony command and I'm able to curl to elasticsearch (version 5.1) without any errors.
My problem is that no document is indexed. If I check elasticsearch-head I see that there was no data transfer anymore.
But there's also no error, no exception or something like that. The process is completed with 100% (100,000 of 100,000 files imported). So I've no idea what happens or how to find out the bug.

Fatal error: Class 'Zend_Log' not found

I'm getting the following error in magento administration
Fatal error: Class 'Zend_Log' not found in /home/website/public_html/app/code/community/Uni/Fileuploader/Block/Adminhtml/Fileuploader/Edit/Tab/Products.php on line 241
This is a community extension, which has been working fine on my website. The error makes no sense to me, because the line 241 contains just a closing "}" character.
class Uni_Fileuploader_Block_Adminhtml_Fileuploader_Edit_Tab_Products extends Mage_Adminhtml_Block_Widget_Grid {
...
...
...
public function getRowUrl() {
return '#';
}
public function getGridUrl() {
return $this->getUrl('*/*/productgrid', array('_current' => true));
}
protected function getFileuploaderData() {
return Mage::registry('fileuploader_data');
}
protected function _getSelectedProducts() {
$products = $this->getRequest()->getPost('selected_products');
if (is_null($products)) {
$products = explode(',', $this->getFileuploaderData()->getProductIds());
return (sizeof($products) > 0 ? $products : 0);
}
return $products;
}
} // line 241, where error occurs
I can post the rest of the code, if you need it.
I noticed that if I upgrade to PHP 5.4 version the error disappears, but since 5.4 version causes other errors on my website, I have to continue using 5.3.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
The problem could be the name of one of the methods in your custom class.
Take for example the method name is getData() ,
Try searching for generic method names in your script, such as getData, which might be reserved by some of Magento’s core classes. I figure that these methods have predefined functionality, which your module is missing support for, and Zend then tries to write an exception to Zend log.

Solved rewriting exactly the same main method:

Call a member function on a non object

i want to display informations about object Activity that the function getCurrent() from the ListActivity should returns.
When i try it, it works perfectly, i have the information needed from the class, but, i have this error message on the top of the page :
Fatal error: Call to a member function getIdentifiant() on a
non-object in
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/site/prototype/administration.php
on line 34
Line 34 is here :
while($listActivities->next())
{
$current = new Activity();
$current = $listActivities->getCurrent();
echo $current->getId(); // line 34
}
And this is the getCurrent() function which return an Activity object.
public function getCurrent()
{
if(isset($this->activities[$this->current]))
return $this->activities[$this->current];
}
I don't understand why i have this problem since it returns me the object that i want.
Please help me figuring it out. Thanks.
echo $current->getId(); // line 34
Fatal error: Call to a member function getIdentifiant() on a non-object in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/site/prototype/administration.php on line 34
WhatEVER you think happens, or whatEVER you see in your page, if the error says $current is not an object, it is not. It might not be null, but it could also be an array or anything that is not an object.
Also :
$current = new Activity();
$current = $listActivities->getCurrent();
Doesn't really makes sense to me.
Use
var_dump($listActivities->getCurrent());
To see what it exactly returns, and trust what errors say.
EDIT : And you may not even be looking at the right php script acually : The error says "getIdentifiant" while the code says "getId". Make sure you're looking at the right piece of code and refreshing the right page.
first set $this->current after $current = new Activity(); (maybe in constercture)
and you should return false if !isset($this->activities[$this->current])
also if you use $current = $listActivities->getCurrent() you lost your Activity object , it should save into another variable
here new code :
while($listActivities->next())
{
$current = new Activity();
if( $listActivities->getCurrent() )
echo $current->getId(); // line 34
}
public function getCurrent()
{
if(isset($this->activities[$this->current]))
return $this->activities[$this->current];
return false;
}

access to extended class in symfony 1.4

so... I basically follow the practical symfony book, and encountered following problem.
I have properly (i guess) installed sfGuardPlugin, built the models, sqls etc, created user and tried to log in with the username and password entered.
i got the following error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method sfGuardUserPeer::retrieveByUsername() in /***/plugins/sfGuardPlugin/lib/validator/sfGuardValidatorUser.class.php on line 53
it looks quite weird to me, because the problematic part of sfGuardValidatorUser class looks like this:
// user exists?
if ($user = sfGuardUserPeer::retrieveByUsername($username))
{
// password is ok?
if ($user->getIsActive() && $user->checkPassword($password))
{
return array_merge($values, array('user' => $user));
}
}
while sfGuardUserPeer has just the empty class:
class sfGuardUserPeer extends PluginsfGuardUserPeer
{
}
that extends PluginsfGuardUserPeer, so i checked it out too:
class PluginsfGuardUserPeer extends BasesfGuardUserPeer
{
public static function retrieveByUsername($username, $isActive = true)
{
$c = new Criteria();
$c->add(self::USERNAME, $username);
$c->add(self::IS_ACTIVE, $isActive);
return self::doSelectOne($c);
}
}
that's the missing function!
so - what is wrong? why doesn't it work?
i have already tried all the solutions found with google, but none of them work :/
finally found it!
the
symfony propel:build-model
task unnecessarily generated the sfGuard classes in the model directory from the schema file located in the plugin directory, while all the classes were already present in the sfGuard folder.
geez, that shouldn't happen in such a well-developed framework and plugin...
Simply put that
public static function retrieveByUsername($username, $isActive = true)
{
$c = new Criteria();
$c->add(self::USERNAME, $username);
$c->add(self::IS_ACTIVE, $isActive);
return self::doSelectOne($c);
}
Code into your sfGuardUserPeer class, this will sort out the issue, I did the same when I got this error, it worked for me..
