I just used composer to install Highcharts. after installing the package i have this path in my project, to lead to the file where the class Highcharts defined:
$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."/myapp/vendor/ghunti/highcharts-php/src/Highchart.php
so as i;m doing with other classes in my project i added this line in the beginning of my file:
require_once($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."/myapp/vendor/ghunti/highcharts-php/src/Highchart.php");
but when i try to create instance of this class, like:
$chart = new Highchart();
in my file i get this error:
Fatal error: Class 'Highchart' not found in ...
any idea what am i doing wrong? thx
Add
use Ghunti\HighchartsPHP\Highchart;
before new Highchart();
It may be usefull to take a look at official demos from the GitHub repository of the Highchart library.

all. I've installed HybridAuth 3.0 and went step-by-step through the Install instructions using composer. I've used the example code and am able to get an initial HybridAuth class instantiated. However, when I continue on to the example with using the Facebook provider class, I'm getting the error, "Class 'Hybridauth\Hybridauth\Provider\Facebook' not found". I'm also using this in a Drupal 7 environment but have other classes like this that autoload just fine so I'm hopeful that little extra detail has no bearing on the problem.
I tried this both with the composer autoloader and the basic autoloader included with the library (as described in the Installation instructions). They both have the same error when attempting to find the Facebook class which is down in the /src/Provider directory. It does this for other classes as well.
That said, using the Hybridauth\Hybridauth "unified interface" works fine and is my current workaround as it allows one to work with multiple providers at one time. But I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong to not be able to load a specific provider as shown in their Introduction documentation.
This works:
// Include Composer's autoloader
include 'vendor/autoload.php';
// Import Hybridauth's namespace
use Hybridauth\Hybridauth;
// Now we may proceed and instantiate Hybridauth's classes
$instance = new Hybridauth([ /* ... */ ]);
This gives an error:
// Include Composer's autoloader
include 'vendor/autoload.php';
// Import Hybridauth's namespace
use Hybridauth\Hybridauth;
$adapter = new Hybridauth\Provider\Facebook([ /* ... */ ]);
I am new to php and have just installed my first package via composer. I'm now trying to call a function from the package I installed as follows:
<?php
require_once 'vendor/autoload.php';
$value = 1;
$aws = AmazonGiftCode::make()->buyGiftCard($value);
echo $aws;
?>
But I get the following error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'AmazonGiftCode' not found in
/public_html/php/test.php:4 Stack trace:
#0 {main} thrown in /public_html/php/test.php on line 4
Based on my (albeit limited) experience with other languages, I'm guessing I have to load the package that contains the class first. The package folder is in the same directory as the test.php file, in the subfolder vendor/kamerk22/AmazonGiftCode/. But I think this is where I don't know enough to troubleshoot it based on the information I could find.
Your directory structure should look like this.
test.php
composer.json
vendor
└───autoload.php
└───kamerk22
└───AmazonGiftCode
Make sure you installed the package using composer, and not by downloading it.
I'm guessing I have to load the package that contains the class first.
Unlike what you would normally expect when importing stuff, when using composer you only have to import the autoload.php file, and composer will take care of loading other packages as needed. By as needed what I mean is that as soon as composer sees you use the AmazonGiftCode class it will import the AmazonGiftCode package, but if one of your REST endpoints doesn't use anything from the AmazonGiftCode package it won't ever load it. This allows you to not have to worry about slowing down the entire application when you want to use a composer package for only a few endpoints. At least that's the way I understand how composer works.
Just run composer dump-autoload once and the class should known then.
You could also get verbose and use kamerk22\AmazonGiftCode\AmazonGiftCode;
But that AmazonGiftCode looks quite Laravel specific... that's why it may still fail, even if it may be found by auto-load. One needs to setup Laravel framework in the first place; just see this query (just in case if you may wonder where all these missing classes may come from).
I'm using the console component without Symfony standard edition and I'm working on my application.php file. When I run it it says:
Fatal error: Class 'GenerateTableCommand' not found in D:\ConnectCommand\vendor\application.php on line 10
My code:
<?php
require __DIR__.'\autoload.php';
use Symfony\Component\Console\Application;
$application = new Application();
$application->add(new GenerateTableCommand());
$application->run();
?>
My repository can be found here if needed: https://github.com/guuse/ConnectCommand
Any help is greatly appreciated.
First of all there's no \GenerateTableCommand, as stated in the error message.
This class is under AppBundle\Command namespace, so it's full name is AppBundle\Command\GenerateTableCommand.
You should add use statement at the beggining:
use AppBundle\Command\GenerateTableCommand;
Anyway, you'll probably encounter further issues with loading this class, since you do not really have any autoloaders for your custom code, so PHP won't be able to load this class.
Also mixing 3rd party code with your own (in vendor directory) is not a good idea.
I want to write tests for MySQL Database. When I try to extend the database extension, it gives me the above error in title:
class FixtureTestCase extends PHPUnit_Extensions_Database_TestCase
Note: I have installed PHPUnit globally and I can access it through phpunit in cmd. I have latest PHPUnit 4.5.1.
I also installed Dbunit globally through composer:
composer global require phpunit/dbunit
Any help will be much appreciated. I've used PHP 5.4.
For referring to classes that are located within the global namespace, you can simply prefix them with a backward ( \ ) slash.
Try with this:
class FixtureTestCase extends \PHPUnit_Extensions_Database_TestCase
With the leading backward ( \ ) slash, PHP knows that we are referring to the PHPUnit_Extensions_Database_TestCase class in the global namespace, and located that one.
More info here
Hope this help.
It just might be the version of DBUnit. For example I'm using PHPUnit 4.8 and it works with DBUnit 1.4.
I had the above error when I was using composer with "phpunit/dbunit": ">=1.2" and I ended up with DBUnit 2.0.
Test your DB how? Through an API you created or direct accesses to DB? i would recommend you to write an API to access your DB and then write the tests to the API.
for exemple if you want to insert a user you call your web-server address (localhost:3000) or something you have and then call /users through POST to insert and make the routes to that.
I would suggest using LARAVEL for that.
I'm trying to use unirest, a new php lib for making rest calls.
I'd like to place it in a system-wide directory above my project. I then include it:
require_once ('../unirest-php-master/lib/Unirest/Unirest.php');
loads fine. Then I use it per the readme:
$response = Unirest::post(CSWA_URL ....
I get Fatal error: Class 'Unirest' not found in ...hello_world/sign_start.php on line 23
I then try to use the namespace (see the library's code. They use a Namespace Unirest statement before declaring the Unirest class.)
$response = Unirest\Unirest::post(CSWA_URL ....
I got further. Now: Fatal error: Class 'Unirest\HttpMethod' not found in ....unirest-php-master/lib/Unirest/Unirest.php on line 26 -- This is an error in the library code!
Q: Did I do something wrong? Did the authors of Unirest make a mistake? Do I have to place the library in ./lib? What's the best fix?
It looks like the Unirest code in Unirest.php relies on autoloading code from the two other files in the unirest lib directory (HttpMethod.php and HttpResponse.php).
The author suggests installing the package using composer, if you were to do that composer would add the Unirest namespace to the autoloader.php script it generates. From there you need to require the autoload.php file at the top of your script and it will handle loading classes that aren't defined.
Alternatively, if you don't want to use composer, I would just require the other two files in the unirest lib directory at the top of your script as well.
