videos.php (pagination with get name > videos.php?name=drama-name&page=2)
example.com/page/videos/drama-name
example.com/page/videos/drama-name?page=2
Here is my full htaccess codes (example.com/.htaccess)
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,NE,L]
RewriteRule ^page/playlist$ /playlist.php [L]
RewriteRule ^page/submit$ /submit.php [L]
RewriteRule ^page/contact$ /contact.php [L]
RewriteRule ^page/search$ /search.php [L]
RewriteRule ^page/recent$ /recent.php [L]
RewriteRule ^page/watch/([^/]+)? /watch.php?title=$1
RewriteRule ^page/videos/([^/]+)? /videos.php?name=$1
But not work in /page/videos/drama-name?page=2 how to fix it? it has another problem?
You can combine regex and shorten your rules in your .htaccess with QSA flag:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
# add www in host name
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*?)/?$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,NE,L]
# Unless directory, remove trailing slash
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)/$ /$1 [NE,R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^page/(submit|contact|search|recent|playlist)/?$ $1.php [L,NC]
RewriteRule ^page/(videos|watch)/([^/]+)/?$ $1.php?title=$2 [L,QSA,NC]

i made a website by expressionengine, in the htaccess i need to remove the index.php and also add www to none www url's.
here is my current .htaccess:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
# Add www to url
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
# Directs all EE web requests through the site index file
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L,QSA]
# Removes index.php from ExpressionEngine URLs
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^GET.*index\.php [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/system/.* [NC]
RewriteRule (.*?)/index\.php/*(.*) /$1$2 [R=301,NE,L]
</IfModule>
but the above code has some problems, it works when the url has the www itself and there is no index.php anywhere and everything is fine, but when i remove the www from the url to test the "add www" part it does not work any more and the url damages lik this:
http://www.example.com/index.php?/segment1/segment2/
an index.php comes up. i don know what to do, any help will be appriciated
Try this..
RewriteEngine On
#Redirect non-www to www
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
it will remove index.php from the URL and add www as a prefix.
The www redirect probably doesn't work because there's no wildcard, keep it simple and specify your domain:
# Redirect to www
# -------------------
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
I expect you have the removal and addition of index.php the wrong way around, I redirect it first if specified in the URL, then add it in hidden:
# Redirect specific index.php requests in URL
# ------------------------------
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^GET.*index\.php [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/system/.* [NC]
RewriteRule (.*?)index\.php/*(.*) /$1$2 [R=301,L]
# Directs all EE web requests through the site index file
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L,QSA]
Also try with and without the ? on this line, depending on the server setup, this might not be needed:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L,QSA]
or
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L,QSA]
I have the following existing .htaccess in place
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example\.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteRule home index.php [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/$ /index.php?TopicID=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)/$ /index.php?RollID=$1&FrameID=$2 [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
RewriteRule (.*) $1.php [L]
RedirectMatch 301 /cache(.*) //$1
ErrorDocument 404 http://www.example.com/error.php
I have many dynamically generated URLs which are being rewritten to this
www.example.com/abc_def_ghi/ OR
www.example.com/abc_def_ghi/abc_def_ghi/
and i'd like to end up with this
www.example.com/abc-def-ghi/ OR
www.example.com/abc-def-ghi/abc-def-ghi/
I've tried adding this to the end of my .htaccess
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.(html|php)($|?) [NC]
RewriteRule ^([^_]*)_+(.*)$ $1-$2 [E=underscores:Yes,N]
RewriteCond %{ENV:underscores} ^Yes$
RewriteRule (.*) http://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
but i'm getting a 500 error.
Can anyone help?
Rearrange your rules like this:
ErrorDocument 404 http://www.example.com/error.php
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^cache(.*) /$1 [L,R=301]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example\.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
# if there is only one underscore then repalce it by - and redirect
RewriteRule ^([^_]*)_([^_]*)$ /$1-$2 [L,R=302]
# if there are more than one underscores then "repeatedly" repalce it by - and set env var
RewriteRule ^([^_]*)_([^_]*)_(.*) $1-$2-$3 [E=USCORE:1]
# if USCORE env var is set and there is no underscore left then redirect
RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_USCORE} =1
RewriteRule ^([^_]+)$ /$1 [L,R=302]
RewriteRule home index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/?$ /index.php?TopicID=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/([^/]+)/?$ /index.php?RollID=$1&FrameID=$2 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
RewriteRule (.*) $1.php [L]
I have tried everything from forums but no result.
How can I hide directory "example" from all url's in website.
For example when user enters:
www.domain.com/example/en/file.php or
www.domain.com/example/ru/file.php or
www.domain.com/example/de/file.php
I want him to see in the url only:
www.domain.com/en/file.php or
www.domain.com/ru/file.php or
www.domain.com/de/file.php
but conent have to be taken from
www.domain.com/example/en/file.php or
www.domain.com/example/ru/file.php or
www.domain.com/example/de/file.php
My current htaccess:
Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^([^\.]+)$ $1.php [NC,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
#RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /example/ [NC]
#RewriteRule ^example/(.*)$ /$1 [L,R=301,NC,NE]
#RewriteRule ^((?!example/).*)$ /example/$1 [L,NC]
NOTE:
it can be more directories in "example" than en, ru or de.
put this code in your DOCUMENT_ROOT/.htaccess file:
RewriteEngine On
# remove /example/ from URLs
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /example/ [NC]
RewriteRule ^example/(.*)$ /$1 [L,R=301,NC,NE]
# add www to host name
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
# other than /js/ internally prefix /example/ before all URIs
RewriteCond $1 !js [NC]
RewriteRule ^((?!example/)[a-z]{2}/.*)$ /example/$1 [L,NC]
# if a matching .php file is found add .php internally
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/$1.php -f
RewriteRule ^([^.]+)/?$ $1.php [L]
you can just put this line
Options -Indexes
i attached my current htaccess file below, it currently makes all my urls www with trailing slash at the end and if it is on and only on /prepaid/ it will be https.
i am tring to extend this functionality, where i can also accept requests from /prepaid/refill/a 10 digit phone number and have it be https as well
i started by adding this line at the bottom, but how would i extend the https part to allow from this path as well?
RewriteRule ^prepaid/refill/([0-9]+)/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&phone=$1 [L]
the current code
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(.*)/$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1/ [L,R=301]
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !. [NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/?$ https://www.domain.com/prepaid/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on
RewriteRule ^prepaid/(.+) http://www.domain.com/prepaid/$1 [R=301,L,QSA]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/?$ index.php?p=prepaid [L]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/h2o-wireless/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=h2o [L]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/net10-wireless/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=net10 [L]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/page-plus-cellular/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=pageplus [L]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/red-pocket-mobile/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=redpocket [L]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/simple-mobile/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=simplemobile [L]
Have your full .htaccess like this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
# force www
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
# force trailing slash
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule [^/]$ %{REQUEST_URI}/ [L,R=301]
# force HTTPS for /prepaid/ OR /prepaid/refill/([0-9]+)/
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !.
RewriteRule ^prepaid(/refill/[0-9]+)?/?$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L,NC]
# force HTTP for everything else
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on
RewriteRule ^prepaid/(?!refill/[0-9]+).+$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L,NC]
# internal rewrites
RewriteRule ^prepaid/?$ index.php?p=prepaid [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/h2o-wireless/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=h2o [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/net10-wireless/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=net10 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/page-plus-cellular/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=pageplus [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/red-pocket-mobile/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=redpocket [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/simple-mobile/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&s=simplemobile [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^prepaid/refill/([0-9]+)/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&phone=$1 [L,QSA,NC]
to use https need write some ike this
with regular expressions, you must be caution and be:
\d+ - its only numberic characters
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on
RewriteRule ^prepaid/refill/(\d+)/?$ index.php?p=prepaid&phone=$1 [L]
My .htaccess file code is
DirectoryIndex router.php
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond $1 ^(.*)$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ router.php?_doroute=$1 [L,QSA]
I want to let my site work with "www" only
i couldn't integrate this code with it
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
Can anyone help me please ?
What is the full output of your .htaccess file? You are showing a rule of RewriteRule ^(.*)$ router.php?_doroute=$1 [L,QSA] which indicates stop processing at the end of that rule, [L].
If you are just adding:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
then that would be your issue.
An alternative method is:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example.com$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301]
Just add the folowing to your .htaccess
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
