convert binary and save this to video format on php language - php

I try an API to get video content. The problem is, the return of the api is binary. How can I get a video file?
When I want to get an image, I just run this code:
$response = curl_exec($ch);
$aa = base64_encode($response);
$data = 'data:image/jpeg;base64,'.$aa;
list($type, $data) = explode(';', $data);
list(, $data) = explode(',', $data);
$data = base64_decode($data);
file_put_contents('image2.jpg', $data);
but I think it doesn't work when I want to convert into video.

JSON to PHP Array using file_get_contents not working

I'm trying to get video urls from dailymotion.
i got JSON results and its valid tested with online tools but when I use js_decode & print_r it shows warning like
<?php
$content = file_get_contents("http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x49oyt5");
$content = explode(',"qualities":', $content);
$json = explode(',"reporting":', $content[1]);
$json = $json[0];
$mycontent = file_get_contents($json);
$response = json_decode($mycontent, true);
print_r($response);
?>
I want to get video quality and video url from JSON.
You're using file_get_contents on what is actually already a JSON.
updated code, tested ;)
<?php
$content = file_get_contents("http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x49oyt5");
$content = explode(',"qualities":', $content);
$json = explode(',"reporting":', $content[1]);
$json = $json[0];
$videos = json_decode($json,true);
//Cycle through the 1080 videos and print the video urls
foreach($videos[1080] as $video){
printf("Video type:%s URL:%s\n", $video['type'], $video['url']);
}
//Cycle through the 720 videos and print the video urls
foreach($videos[720] as $video){
printf("Video type:%s URL:%s\n", $video['type'], $video['url']);
}
?>
With array_keys($array) you can get all the keys from array, it will return an array with the keys.
<?php
$content = file_get_contents("http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x49oyt5");
$content = explode(',"qualities":', $content);
$json = explode(',"reporting":', $content[1]);
$json = $json[0];
$mycontent = file_get_contents($json);
$response = json_decode($mycontent, true);
$qualities = array_keys($response)
print_r($qualities);
?>

How to save base64 string as image server-side

I want to save a base64 string as an image (.png or .jpg) on my server.
The string I get looks like this:
"data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQA[...]"
I tried this:
$data = $_POST['form_new_data'];
list($type, $data) = explode(';', $data);
list(, $data) = explode(',', $data);
$data = base64_decode($data);
file_put_contents("/userImgs/pic.jpg",$data);
but it is not working (maybe because the base64 string is a jpeg?).. Please help..
try this
$data = $_POST['form_new_data'];
file_put_contents('img.jpg', base64_decode(preg_replace('#^data:image/\w+;base64,#i', '', $data)));

I want to decode base64 encoded data which is image/gif? How can I do that in php?

I am using the below code from the library
https://github.com/antimatter15/jsgif.
I tried to convert the code given below to a gif image file but could not achieve it.
var encoder = new GIFEncoder();
encoder.setRepeat(0);
encoder.start();
var st = '|100:167.1,D,Pencil,3,#000|100:167.1,U|100:167.1,D|102:163.1,M|135:125.1|206:97.1|289:99.1|323:134.1|3\

var frames_array = st.split('|');
$.each(frames_array,function(index,value) {
encoder.addFrame(value);
});
encoder.finish();
var binary_gif = encoder.stream().getData();
var data_url = 'data:image/gif;base64,'+encode64(binary_gif);

I need to convert this encoded code to an gif image file. How can I achieve it further
try this , may this will help you
<?php
function base64url_decode($data) {
return base64_decode(str_pad(strtr($data, '-_', '+/'), strlen($data) % 4, '=', STR_PAD_RIGHT));
}
?>
Use this (PHP pseudo-code): http://php.net/manual/en/function.imagecreatefromstring.php
function imagegif_from_base64($base64)
{
return imagecreatefromstring(base64_decode(substr($base64, 22) /* remove the "data:image/gif;base64," string */));
}
related get image from base64 string
AS you are using jsgif library you You can do like this to decode image
$imgstr = 'data:image/gif;base64,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‏';
$new_data=explode(";",$imgstr);
$type=$new_data[0];
$imgdata=explode(",",$new_data[1]);
$imgstr = base64_decode($imgdata[1]);
// or choose any name instead sample.gif
file_put_contents("sample.gif", base64_decode($imgstr));
If you just wanna use PHP try this:
$str = 'data:image/gif;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAA...';
$data = str_replace('data:image/gif;base64,', '', $str);
$data = str_replace(' ', '+', $data);
$data = base64_decode($data); // base64 decoded image data
$source_img = imagecreatefromstring($data);
$file = uniqid() .'.gif';
$success = file_put_contents($file, $data);
This will save the .gif image in the same folder the php file is located.

Retrieving App Store application icon URL with PHP

I found that App Store API support additional information about application.
$keyword = $this->input->post('keyword');
$appstore_api = 'http://itunes.apple.com/search?country=US&entity=software&term='.$keyword;
$data = file_get_contents($appstore_api);
echo $data;
here is the PHP code that I wrote.
I get this result.
{ "resultCount":50, "results": [ {"kind":"software", "features":[], "supportedDevices":["all"], "isGameCenterEnabled":false, "artistViewUrl":"http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/burbn-inc./id389801255?uo=4", "artworkUrl60":"http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/105/Purple/v4/f3/0e/e2/f30ee271-c564-ec21-02d6-d020bd2ff38b/Icon.png", "screenshotUrls":["http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/102/Purple/v4/2d/25/d3/2d25d348-74e9-8365-208c-45e64af73ed6/mzl.xnvocmpt.png", "http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/077/Purple/v4/04/18/b3/0418b375-c0c1-18c1-1aef-07555c99af46/mzl.pkthtqtv.png", "http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/069/Purple/v4/31/08/65/31086528-2f37-bca0-71f3-c3095e698f35/mza_8774562250786021670.png", "http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/091/Purple/v4/95/a2/65/95a265bb-b9f0-8732-9fe4-823ffbc9aba0/mza_5807950548098772841.png"], "ipadScreenshotUrls":[], "artworkUrl512":"http://a4.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/089/Purple/v4/44/76/7f/44767fb5-4cb2-25bf-5361-25138b8c2aeb/mzl.ntalagmr.png",
The question is that how can I extract the variable named "artworkUrl512" ?
I tried like this but failed.
$image_url = $data->results->artworkUrl512;
$image_url2 = $data['results']['artworkUrl512'];
Can you help me how to extract icon image url?
$data is json encoded. Use json_decode():
http://php.net/manual/en/function.json-decode.php
$data = json_decode($json, true);
echo $data['results'][0]['artworkUrl512'];
