Folder mismatch after removing file extension .htaccess - php

I have .htaccess file helping me to remove file extension from my pages, which i should say its working perfectly, but am having problems accessing site folders(domain.com/folder_name/) as am getting a 404 error with name of folder(domain.com/folder_name.php) having an extension in the error message. Below is my .htaccess code

I finally figured it out; all i had to do was to create another .htaccess in the folder affected then add the following line of code:
RewriteEngine Off
All is solved

You almost had it right, you just needed to exclude the slash as well:
Options -MultiViews

Removing file extensions & redirecting to index page

So I am trying to get my site to remove all file extensions so instead of https://multimap.xyz/error/id.php?=... it will just be https://multimap.xyz/error/id?=... . Simarly I should be able to do https://multimap.xyz/mail/index.php and it removes the trailing index.php to result in just https://multimap.xyz/mail/.
I'm trying to achieve this with both .php and .html file extensions and indexes and using .htaccess and this is what I have so far

This works well for removing file extensions. So the .../error/id?=... works perfectly. However when trying to access https://multimap.xyz/mail/ it shows me an error page saying
The requested URL /email/.php was not found on this server.

You should check presence of .html and .php file before their rewrites.

Weird .htaccess behaviour

this is my .htaccess-content:

If I am browsing to my-domain/player/XY it redirects me to player.php?name=XY (and prints an internal server error because player.php doesn't exist) instead of showing the profile.
But if I change it to
RewriteRule ^player/([^/]*)$ /profile.php?name=$1 [L] and open my-domain/playera/XY it works fine.
Can you help me, please?

Not sure why you're getting that error since the first rule should match /player/XY. But you can probably add a few conditions to your php rule to ensure that it is rewriting correctly:
#Remove .php file ending
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/$1.php -f
RewriteRule (.*) $1.php [L]

Forcibly Remove .php On Request

I know with .htaccess, you can request a file without the extension, like (page.php) can be requested as (page).
The following is the code in my .htaccess file to enable this:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^([^\.]+)$ $1.php [NC,L]
This code is only able to work when just (page) is requested. How do I make it so that by request, (page.php) is forcibly rewritten to just (page)? Is there anyway of doing this?

Note: i wrote this code to make it work with /some_page.php but also with /folder/subfolder/.../some_page.php
