How to get the street value using 'php'?
{
_id : "001",
name : "fakename",
address : {
street : "12 Street",
city : "Cosmos",
}
}
Query :
$collection = database_name->collection_name;
$cursor = $collection->find ( array('name' => 'fakename' ), array( 'address.street' ) );
foreach ( $cursor as $doc ) {
echo $doc[ 'address.street' ];
}
Result :
$doc[ 'address.street' ]
value does not get printed.
$db = (new \MongoDB\Client("mongodb://localhost:27017"))->database_name;
$collection = $db->collection_name;
$cursor = $collection->find ( array('name' => 'fakename' ), array( 'address.street' ) );
foreach ($cursor as $doc) {
echo $doc['address']['street'];
}
PHP uses multidimensional arrays:
$doc['address']['street']

I'm running into some issues getting the correct JSON output from my SQL query. Essentially what I'm struggling with is getting an array of options objects as opposed to singular option objects.
$query = 'SELECT matchup.matchupID, matchup_option.player_name, matchup_option.player_id FROM matchup
INNER JOIN matchup_option
ON matchup_option.matchupID= matchup.matchupID;';
$attachments = $db->query($query);
$data = array();
while ($attachment = $db->fetch_array($attachments)){
$data[] = array (
'id' => $attachment['matchupID'],
'options' => array(
array (
"name" => $attachment['player_name'],
"playerid" => $attachment['player_id']
)
)
);
//VAR_DUMP($attachment);
}
$data = array("matchup"=>$data);
print json_encode($data);
Gives me this output:
{
"matchup":[
{
"id":"111222",
"options":[
{
"name":"111",
"playerid":"111"
}
]
},
{
"id":"111222",
"options":[
{
"name":"222",
"playerid":"222"
}
]
}
]
}
And here's what I'm trying to get to:
{
"matchup":[
{
"id":"111222",
"options":[
{
"name":"111",
"playerid":"111"
},
{
"name":"222",
"playerid":"222"
}
]
}
]
}
I'd like to follow best practices as well as structure this appropriately, if there's a better way to go about this, please let me know!
You need to store $attachment['matchupID'] as an array key of $data:
$data = array();
while ($attachment = $db->fetch_array($attachments)){
if (!isset($data[$attachment['matchupID']])) {
$data[$attachment['matchupID']] = array (
'id' => $attachment['matchupID'],
'options' => array()
);
}
$data[$attachment['matchupID']]['options'][] = array (
"name" => $attachment['player_name'],
"playerid" => $attachment['player_id']
);
}
// use `array_values` to reindex `$data`
$data = array("matchup" => array_values($data));
print json_encode($data);
I am trying to merge two arrays, but getting NULL. Below is my code
$a = 1;
foreach($codes as $values) {
$id = $values['id'];
$post_data = array (
"id" => $id,
"name" => $this->input->post('Name'),
"from_date" => $this->input->post('FromDate'),
"to_date" => $this->input->post('ToDate')
);
$this->data['output' . $a++] = $this->my_modal->simple_post($post_data);
}
$this->data['output'] = array_merge($this->data['output1'], $this->data['output2']);
var_dump($this->data['output']);
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks..
You have to delete the first parameter (NULL) of array_merge();
And what is $this->input->$id? Don't you mean $id?
And in this environment, it's better to use array_push();:
$a = 1;
$this->data['output'] = array();
foreach($codes as $values)
{
$id = $values['id'];
$post_data = array (
"id" => $id,
"name" => $this->input->post('Name'),
"from_date" => $this->input->post('FromDate'),
"to_date" => $this->input->post('ToDate')
);
$new_data = $this->my_modal->simple_post($post_data);
array_push($this->data['output'], $new_data);
}
var_dump($this->data['output']);
$a = 1;
$this->data['output'] = array();
foreach($codes as $values){
$id = $values['id'];
$post_data = array (
"id" => $id,
"name" => $this->input->post('Name'),
"from_date" => $this->input->post('FromDate'),
"to_date" => $this->input->post('ToDate')
);
$data['output2']= $this->my_modal->simple_post($post_data);
if(count($this->data['output1']) > 1) {
$this->data['all'] = array_merge($this->data['output1'],$data['output2']);
}else {
$this->data['all'] = $data['output1'];
}
}
print_r($this->data['all']);
Your code is perfectly right, the only problem is that you start the counter with $a = 1, and do $a++ which will result in 2. So the output1 does not exist. However if you write (notice the subtle change):
$a = 1;
foreach($codes as $values) {
$id = $values['id'];
$post_data = array (
"id" => $id,
"name" => $this->input->post('Name'),
"from_date" => $this->input->post('FromDate'),
"to_date" => $this->input->post('ToDate')
);
$this->data['output' . $a] = $this->my_modal->simple_post($post_data); // $a = 1 now
$a++; // $a becomes 2 here
}
$this->data['output'] = array_merge($this->data['output1'], $this->data['output2']);
var_dump($this->data['output']);
This is a newbie question... I have a form in Joomla 3.3 and chronoforms v5 latest... When the form loads the database populates my first select input with "interview dates" from my DB.... works great, once you select the date, the second select input populates with available time slots.... the problem here is the way the DB is output in the array is
Data->
time->7:00am,7:15am,9:30am
Right now when the 2nd select loads it's showing up like this 7:00am,7:15am,9:30am....
I want to be able to make them individual values not all one value...
This is the code I am currently using for the "time" options for the second select input...
<?php
$options = array();
if ( !$form->data['Data'] || count($form->data['Data']) < 1 ) {
// no result was found
$options[] = 'Please select a category';
} else {
foreach ( $form->data['Data'] as $d ) {
$options[$d['interviewdate']] = ($d['time']);
}
}
echo json_encode ($options);
?>
is this possible?
The structure that is needed to create an options list is like this:
[0] => array ('text' => 'aaa', 'value' => 'xxx'),
[1] => array ( . . .
And your data appears to be be in a nested array like $form->data['Data']['time'] ?
In this case the text and value can probably be the same so the code would be something like this:
<?php
$options = array();
if ( !$form->data['Data']['time'] ) {
// no result was found
$options[] = array('text' => 'Please select a category', 'value' => '');
} else {
$data = explode(',', $form->data['Data']['time']);
foreach ( $data as $d ) {
$options[] = array('text' => $d['time'], 'value' => $d['time']);
}
}
echo json_encode($options);
?>
If i am not mistaken your $d['time'] holds values like '7:00am,7:15am,9:30am'. And if this is the case then you can just use explode(',', $d['time']) which will give you array of times instead of string.
$options = array();
$form = new stdClass();
$form->data['Data'] = array(
array(
'interviewdate' => 'date', 'time' => '7:02am,7:25am,9:40am'
),
array(
'interviewdate' => 'date2', 'time' => '7:05am,7:35am,19:40am'
)
);
if ( !$form->data['Data'] || count($form->data['Data']) < 1 ) {
// no result was found
$options[] = 'Please select a category';
} else {
foreach ( $form->data['Data'] as $d ) {
foreach(explode(',', $d['time']) as $time){
$options[] = array($d['interviewdate'] => $time);
}
}
}
echo json_encode ($options);
I searched in Google and consulted the PHP documentation, but couldn't figure out how the following code works:
$some='name=Licensing Module;nextduedate=2013-04-10;status=Active|name=Test Addon;nextduedate=2013-04-11;status=Active';
function getActiveAddons($somet) {
$addons = array( );
foreach ($somet as $addon) {
if ($addon['status'] == 'Active') {
$addons[] = $addon['name'];
continue;
}
}
return $addons;
}
echo (count( getActiveAddons( $some ) ) ? implode( '<br />', getActiveAddons( $some ) ) : 'None');
The code always echo's None.
Please help me in this.
I don't know where you got this code from but you've initialized $some the wrong way. It is expected as an array like this:
$some = array(
array(
'name' => 'Licensing Module',
'nextduedate' => '2013-04-10',
'status' => 'Active'
),
array(
'name' => 'Test Addon'
'nextduedate' => '2013-04-11',
'status' => 'Active'
)
);
I guess the article you've read is expecting you to parse the original string into this format.
You can achieve this like this:
$string = 'name=Licensing Module;nextduedate=2013-04-10;status=Active|name=Test Addon;nextduedate=2013-04-11;status=Active';
$result = array();
foreach(explode('|', $string) as $record) {
$item = array();
foreach(explode(';', $record) as $column) {
$keyval = explode('=', $column);
$item[$keyval[0]] = $keyval[1];
}
$result[]= $item;
}
// now call your function
getActiveAddons($result);
$some is not an array so foreach will not operate on it. You need to do something like
$some = array(
array(
'name' => 'Licensing Module',
'nextduedate' => '2013-04-10',
'status' => 'Active'
),
array(
'name' => 'Test Addon',
'nextduedate' => '2013-04-11',
'status'=> 'Active'
)
);
This will create a multidimensional array that you can loop through.
function getActiveAddons($somet) {
$addons = array( );
foreach ($somet as $addon) {
foreach($addon as $key => $value) {
if ($key == 'status' && $value == 'Active') {
$addons[] = $addon['name'];
continue;
}
}
}
return $addons;
}
First, your $some variable is just a string. You could parse the string into an array using explode(), but it's easier to just start as an array:
$some = array(
array(
"name" => "Licensing Module",
"nextduedate" => "2013-04-10",
"status" => "Active",
),
array(
"name" => "Test Addon",
"nextduedate" => "2013-04-11",
"status" => "Active",
)
);
Now, for your function, you are on the right track, but I'll just clean it up:
function getActiveAddons($somet) {
if (!is_array($somet)) {
return false;
}
$addons = array();
foreach ($somet as $addon) {
if ($addon['status'] == 'Active') {
$addons[] = $addon['name'];
}
}
if (count($addons) > 0) {
return $addons;
}
return false;
}
And finally your output (you were calling the function twice):
$result = getActiveAddons($some);
if ($result === false) {
echo "No active addons!";
}
else {
echo implode("<br />", $result);
}
I'm trying to get this working:
I have an array that gets "deeper" every loop. I need to add a new array to the deepest "children" key there is.
while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res)) {
array_push($json["children"],
array(
"id" => "$x",
"name" => "Start",
"children" => array()
)
);
}
So, in a loop it would be:
array_push($json["children"] ...
array_push($json["children"][0]["children"] ...
array_push($json["children"][0]["children"][0]["children"] ...
... and so on. Any idea on how to get the key-selector dynamic like this?
$selector = "[children][0][children][0][children]";
array_push($json$selector);
$json = array();
$x = $json['children'];
while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res)) {
array_push($x,
array(
"id" => "$x",
"name" => "Start",
"children" => array()
)
);
$x = $x[0]['children'];
}
print_r( $json );
Hmmm - maybe better to assign by reference:
$children =& $json["children"];
while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res)) {
array_push($children,
array(
"id" => "$x",
"name" => "Start",
"children" => array()
)
);
$children =& $children[0]['children'];
}
$json = array();
$rows = range('a', 'c');
foreach (array_reverse($rows) as $x) {
$json = array('id' => $x, 'name' => 'start', 'children' => array($json));
}
print_r($json);
If you want to read an array via a string path, split the string in indices, and then you can do something like this to get the value
function f($arr, $indices) {
foreach ($indices as $key) {
if (!isset($arr[$key])) {
return null;
}
$arr = $arr[$key];
}
return $arr;
}
