How do I include this regular expression when creating an object? - php

After my $plates = explode(';', $plates); i'd like to include another regular expression when creating a new $dossier (in my foreach):
$minus = preg_replace('~[-]~', '', $license_plates);
How would I do that?
This is my code:
public function addLicensePlates(Request $request)
{
$product_id = $request->input('product_id');
$license_plates = $request->input('license_plates');
$plates = preg_replace('~\s+|[.,:;*/_]~', ';', $license_plates); // \s+|[.,:;*/_]
$plates = explode(';', $plates);
foreach($plates as &$plate) {
$dossier = new Dossier;
$dossier->license_plate = trim($plate);
$dossier->product_id = $product_id;
$dossier->save();
}
}
PS: I don't want to add the - to the $plates expression, but after the explode.

I suggest editing the existing function as follows:
Use trim() on the input string when preg_replaceing to get rid of empty values later
Use str_replace to replace the hyphens later in the foreach block.
See the PHP demo:
$license_plates = " WORD-HERE 36-LXD-5";
$plates = preg_replace('~\s+|[.,:;*/_]~', ';', trim($license_plates)); // trim the incoming value
$plates = explode(';', $plates);
foreach($plates as &$plate) {
$license_plate = str_replace('-', '', $plate); // Remove hyphens
echo $license_plate. "\n";
}
Output: WORDHERE and 36LXD5.

Insert some text after the second forward slash in a php string?

I've been working with this code
<?php
class PerchTemplateFilter_sol_en_cat_path extends PerchTemplateFilter {
public function filterAfterProcessing($value, $valueIsMarkup = false) {
// ORIGINAL STRING: solutions-en/rail-technologies/track-components/name-of-product
$mystring = $value;
$replace = ['solutions-en', '%2F'];
$str = '';
$oldstr = str_replace($replace, $str, $mystring);
$str_to_insert = 'XXX';
$findme = '/';
$pos = strpos($mystring, $findme); // I NEED THIS TO INSERT $str_to_insert AFTER THE SECOND FORWARD SLASH FOUND IN THE ORIGINAL STRING?
$value = substr_replace($oldstr, $str_to_insert, $pos, 0);
return $value;
// $value: /rail-technologies/track-components/XXX/name-of-product
// Insert string at specified position
// https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8251426/insert-string-at-specified-position
}
}
PerchSystem::register_template_filter('sol_en_cat_path', 'PerchTemplateFilter_sol_en_cat_path');
?>
My string is: solutions-en/rail-technologies/track-components/name-of-product
I want to end up with: /rail-technologies/XXX/track-components/name-of-product
XXX is only a placeholder value
I guess I need to do something with $pos to set where I want XXX to be added to the string.
I need to insert after the second forward slash, as the string may contain different text
The code above outputs this string: /rail-technoXXXlogies/track-components/ewosr-switch-lock
I can't seem to figure out how to insert XXX after the second forward slash.
Hope someone can provide some help.
How about explode to array, then implode the first two items.
Join with xxx and implode the rest?
function AddInTheMiddle($start, $where, $what){
$arr = explode("/", $what);
$str = implode("/", array_splice($arr,$start,$where)) . '/xxx/' . implode("/", $arr);;
return $str;
}
$str = 'solutions-en/rail-technologies/track-components/name-of-product';
$str = AddInTheMiddle(1, 2, $str);

Thank you Andreas, your post gave me the nudge I needed. I did this in the end.
// ORIGINAL $value: solutions-en/rail-technologies/track-components/name-of-product
$str = explode("/", $value);
$value = $str[1] . '/' . 'solutions' . '/' . $str[2] . '/';
return $value;
// Removed: solutions-en
// Added: solutions
// $value: rail-technologies/solutions/track-components/name-of-product
I was able to add the name-of-product to the end of the new string elsewhere in my template.

Alter Form Label using Regex in Drupal 8

I have some form fields that look like this: "Yes (if "Yes", skip the next question)" and I'd like to have any labels with text inside parenthesis be wrapped in a span so they can be styled. I tried writing a preprocess but it's not doing anything.
function THEME_preprocess_form_element_label(&$variables){
$element = $variables['element'];
$title = $element['#title'];
$pat = "/\((.*?)\)/";
if (isset($title) && preg_match($pat, $title)) {
$titleSplit = preg_split($pat, $title);
$newTitle = $titleSplit[0]+"<span>"+$titleSplit[1]+"</span>";
$title = $newTitle;
}
}
$title = $newTitle; is setting the $title variable in the function, but not on the &$variables that is passed by reference.
try:
function THEME_preprocess_form_element_label(&$variables){
$pat = "/\((.*?)\)/";
if (isset($variables['element']['#title']) && preg_match($pat, $variables['element']['#title'])) {
$titleSplit = preg_split($pat, $variables['element']['#title']);
$newTitle = $titleSplit[0]+"<span>"+$titleSplit[1]+"</span>";
$variables['element']['#title'] = $newTitle;
}
}

How to remove string with comma in a big string?

I'm a newbie in PHP ,andnow I'm struck on this problem . I have a string like this :
$string = "qwe,asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn";
Now I want when user click to "qwe" it will remove "qwe," in $string
Ex:$string = "asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn";
Or remove "fhg,"
Ex:$string = "asd,zxc,rty,vbn";
I try to user str_replace but it just remove the string and still have a comma before the string like this:
$string = ",asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn";
Anyone can help? Thanks for reading
Try this out:
$break=explode(",",$string);
$new_array=array();
foreach($break as $newData)
{
if($newData!='qwe')
{
$new_array[]=$newData;
}
}
$newWord=implode(",",$new_array);
echo $newWord;
In order to achieve your objective, array is your best friend.
$string = "qwe,asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn";
$ExplodedString = explode( "," , $string ); //Explode them separated by comma
$itemToRemove = "asd";
foreach($ExplodedString as $key => $value){ //loop along the array
if( $itemToRemove == $value ){ //check if item to be removed exists in the array
unset($ExplodedString[$key]); //unset or remove is found
}
}
$NewLook = array_values($ExplodedString); //Re-index the array key
print_r($NewLook); //print the array content
$NewLookCombined = implode( "," , $NewLook);
print_r($NewLookCombined); //print the array content after combined back
here the solution
$string = "qwe,asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn";
$clickword = "vbn";
$exp = explode(",", $string);
$imp = implode(" ", $exp);
if(stripos($imp, $clickword) !== false) {
$var = str_replace($clickword," ", $imp);
}
$str = preg_replace('/\s\s+/',' ', $var);
$newexp = explode(" ", trim($str));
$newimp = implode(",", $newexp);
echo $newimp;
You could try preg_replace http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/function.preg-replace.php if you have the module set up. It will allow you to optionally replace trailing or leading commas easily:
preg_replace("/,*$providedString,*/i", '', "qwe,asd,zxc,rty,fgh,vbn");

str ireplace PHP parts of url

I have a html doc that has links in it.
Example :
http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis
http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis
http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant3/Idontwantthiseither
I want to replace these with:
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant2
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant3
How can I do this? I feel like the only way is to use str_ireplace to get the value that I want and append it to the other link, I just can't seem to remove the part after the value that I want.
I use:
$var= str_ireplace("http://mysite1.com/test/", "http://myothersite.com/", $var);
But then I get the after value still on the link:
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant/Idontwantthis
I tried and now am turning to the community for help.
Thanks
Oh and they are enclosed in the tag with class and other attributes, all I need to change is the URL as explained above.
The links are not in an array they are being edited from a javascript file so they will be in a large variable as text.
$examples =
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis
http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant3/Idontwantthiseither'
;
Edit: using your updated example, you can split those URLs up by the whitespace between them:
$examples = 'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant3/Idontwantthiseither';
$examples = explode(' ', $examples);
Alternative example array:
$examples = array(
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis',
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis',
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant3/Idontwantthiseither'
);
Regex solution:
$pattern = '/^(?:http|https):\/\/.+\/.*\/(.+)\/.*$/Um';
$replace = 'http://myothersite.com/$1';
foreach($examples as $example) {
echo preg_replace($pattern, $replace, $example);
}
Non-regex solution:
foreach($examples as $example) {
// remove the original domain name
$first = str_ireplace('http://mysite1.com/test/', '', $example);
// prepend the new domain name with the first part of the remaining URL
// e.g. strip everything after the first slash
echo 'http://myothersite.com/' . explode('/', $first)[0];
}
Note: using explode(...)[0] is array dereferencing, and is supported in PHP >= 5.4.0. For previous versions of PHP, use a variable to store the array before referencing it:
$bits = explode('/', $first);
echo 'http://myothersite.com/' . $bits[0];
From the manual:
As of PHP 5.4 it is possible to array dereference the result of a function or method call directly. Before it was only possible using a temporary variable.
Example output:
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant2
http://myothersite.com/whatIwant3
This function should do the job.
<?php
function EditLink($link)
{
$link = explode("/",$link);
return $link[4];
}
$new_link = "http://myothersite.com/".EditLink("http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis")."";
echo $new_link;
?>
Try this no regex:
$urls = array(
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant3/Idontwantthiseither',
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis',
'http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant2/Istilldontwantthis'
);
$new_site = "http://myothersite.com/";
foreach ($urls as $url) {
$pathinfo = pathinfo($url);
$base = basename($pathinfo['dirname']);
$var = str_ireplace($url, $new_site . $base, $url);
echo $var . '<br>';
}
As of PHP 5.3:
$new_urls = array_map(function($url) { // anonymous function
global $new_site;
$pathinfo = pathinfo($url);
$base = basename($pathinfo['dirname']);
$var = str_ireplace($url, $new_site . $base, $url);
return $var;
}, $urls);
echo implode('<br>', $new_urls);
Sorry by my last answer, you was right, the order was correct.
Try this one with pre_replace, I beleave could solve the problem:
$var = "http://mysite1.com/test/whatIwant/Idontwantthis";
$var = preg_replace("/http\:\/\/mysite1.com\/([^\/]+)\/?.*/", "http://myothersite.com/$1", $var);
echo $var;

php regular expression to match string if NOT in an HTML tag

I'm trying to solve this bug in Drupal's Hashtags module: http://drupal.org/node/1718154
I've got this function that matches every word in my text that is prefixed by "#", like #tag:
function hashtags_get_tags($text) {
$tags_list = array();
$pattern = "/#[0-9A-Za-z_]+/";
preg_match_all($pattern, $text, $tags_list);
$result = implode(',', $tags_list[0]);
return $result;
}
I need to ignore internal links in pages, such as link, or, more in general, any word prefixed by # that appears inside an HTML tag (so preceeded by < and followed by >).
Any idea how can I achieve this?
Can you strip the tags first because matching (using the strip_tags function)?
function hashtags_get_tags($text) {
$text = strip_tags($text);
$tags_list = array();
$pattern = "/#[0-9A-Za-z_]+/";
preg_match_all($pattern, $text, $tags_list);
$result = implode(',', $tags_list[0]);
return $result;
}
A regular expression is going to be tricky if you want to only match hashtags that are not inside an HTML tag.
You could throw out the tags before hand using preg_replace
function hashtags_get_tags($text) {
$tags_list = array();
$pattern = "/#[0-9A-Za-z_]+/";
$text=preg_replace("/<[^>]*>/","",$text);
preg_match_all($pattern, $text, $tags_list);
$result = implode(',', $tags_list[0]);
return $result;
}
I made this function using PHP DOM.
It returns all links that have # in the href.
If you want it to only remove internal hash tags, replace this line:
if(strpos($link->getAttribute('href'), '#') === false) {
with this:
if(strpos($link->getAttribute('href'), '#') !== 0) {
This is the function:
function no_hashtags($text) {
$doc = new DOMDocument();
$doc->loadHTML($text);
$links = $doc->getElementsByTagName('a');
$nohashes = array();
foreach($links as $link) {
if(strpos($link->getAttribute('href'), '#') === false) {
$temp = new DOMDocument();
$elem = $temp->importNode($link->cloneNode(true), true);
$temp->appendChild($elem);
$nohashes[] = $temp->saveHTML();
}
}
// return $nohashes;
return implode('', $nohashes);
// return implode(',', $nohashes);
}
