I'm coding a Symfony project and I should host it on a server that make me install Symfony by Softacolous (I can't use a shell). So, I can't understand how make an edit on the online DB.
Can you help me?
Use cPanel's Remote MySQL to enable access from your local PC and run:
php bin/console doctrine:schema:update --force --env=prod
To update your database from your code.
Also you dont need to install symfony via Softacolous, just upload your local files via ftp

I'm installing Magento 2 for the first time following this tutorial https://www.javatpoint.com/how-to-install-magento-2-using-composer. XAMPP is installed (with Apache and MySQL running), the database is setup on PHPMyAdmin, but when I try to run php bin/magento setup:install (step 23 in the tutorial) I get the error: Could not validate a connection to Elasticsearch. No alive nodes found in your cluster
How can I fix this?
Download Elastic Search first on your system -
https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/elasticsearch-7-6-0
After Downloading follow this step -
Extract the .zip file
Open Terminal or command prompt and go to the extracted path
run command .\bin\elasticsearch.bat
if this does not work just go to the extracted folder and opened the elasticsearch.bat file inside the bin folder.
and the install Magento with setup: install command.

Please run this Command in Terminal
sudo service elasticsearch start
And after run that command again run php bin/magento setup:install

I am making my first app with Symfony and when i setup my database (doesn't matter if it's postgresql or mysql).
I have an error "could not find driver" three time.
One in PDOConnection.php line 38.
Other in Exception.php line 18.
And last one in AbstractMySQLDriver.php line 128.
What i made : i check the php path i also check all the extensions. I check if i fill correctly .env and i check those folders.
PHP version : 7.4
And mysql in docker containers: mysql:5.7.
I really have no idea what to do now

The problem (for me) was the command php bin/console doctrine:database:create
if you have the same problem try symfony doctrine:database:create
do you use .env file? I have same problem and after a day of disable/enable pdo without any effect, i found that symfony auto add a line to my .env file:
DATABASE_URL=postgresql://db_user:db_password#127.0.0.1:5432/db_name?serverVersion=11&charset=utf8
That make my database url wrong and error not found pdo fire because of postgresql not mysql
Apparently you use Docker, but in your question you mentioned Windows cmd. I suppose, you check PDO extension in your host system, not in container. You need to log into your Docker PHP container and check it there. In Windows Desktop version of Docker there is a button near each container to open command-line interface. You also can use command:
docker exec -it <here goes your container name>
To find out what your container name is, you can use command
docker ps
UPDATE:
To start your project not in Docker, bun on Windows-host itself, you can use very helpful mini-server, provided by Symfony. Run this command inside your project directory:
symfony serve
It will start local server, available by default at address https://127.0.0.1:8000/.
However, keep in mind, that if your project requires database, you will need to have MySQL Server for Windows installed on your host system too.
I'm new to Laravel framework. I have installed and developed a small application. I've got source code from Github for an application which I want to integrate and run on my localhost. Please guide me any link or material where I get proper instructions to start working on this website. Give me details about which file to be edited so that atleast I can access on my localhost.

If you don't want to use homestead (which is somewhat complex for beginners to setup) follow this:
steps to setup laravel app from github repo
first of all you need to install git and composer.
open command prompt (terminal) in your document root folder.
clone the repository by executing git clone https://github.com/fakharkhan/laravel-school-erp.git
change directory in terminal to newly cloned project by using cd laravel-school-erp in your case.
run composer install to install project dependencies.
rename .env.example to .env file.
open .env file and enter the database connection information.
run laravel migrations (import database) by executing php artisan migrate from terminal.
visit the url by adding /public to it.
Optional
Setup virtual host by editing httpd-vhosts.conf file (so you can avoid typing /public in the url) and adding following to it
<VirtualHost example.dev:80>
DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs/laravel/public"
ServerName example.dev
</VirtualHost>
then edit your host file and add following to it:
127.0.0.1 example.dev
You can replace example.dev with whatever URL you like.

You should give a look on Laravel's documentation.
This the best way to understand Laravel.
If you just get the source code you'll need to do some things :
Copy .env.example and rename it .env
Edit .env file to fit on your needs like database informations
Run composer install to install dependencies
Run php artisan key:generate
Assuming you are using xampp on Windows as localhost. Now go to path/to/xampp/htdocs then open git terminal by right click on Git Bash Here
Now run following commands:
1. git clone https://github.com/fakharkhan/laravel-school-erp
2. cd laravel-school-erp
3. composer install
4. cp .env.example .env
5. php artisan key:generate
For database connection: make a database and set (DB_DATABASE, DB_USERNAME, DB_PASSWORD) values to .env file (which is in your project root).
And finally browse: localhost/laravel-school-erp/public
I know this might sound really silly, but I'm kinda stuck and need help. I'm trying to use Laravel 5.3 and use Homestead as my IDE. I have previously worked on PHP using NetBeans and XAMPP, but the installation has always been a pain. I have no formal training and have learnt and used basic PHP on my own for my webpages.
I'm running a Windows 8-32Bit OS & here's what I've done so far:
I have downloaded Laravel using Composer.
I have installed Virtual Box & Vagrant.
I have installed Git Bash and ran vagrant box add laravel/homestead (Homestead.yaml was not found in my Homestead folder after running bash init.sh command. I downloaded it from Github and added there).
Set SSH Key.
Ran vagrant up in Homestead folder (the installation was complete).
Issues:
If I just type http://localhost:8000 in my browser, nothing happens. I have to run php artisan serve in the command prompt inside laravel directory and keep the prompt window open for the default Laravel 5 page to open.
If I type http://127.0.0.1:8000 in my browser, nothing happens at all.
So how do I use Homestead then for my development everyday ?

if you dont want to run php artisan serve
I am trying to install Laravel for first time. I installed it on my desktop with the following composer command
composer create-project laravel/laravel laravel-app
The command completed successfully without any error but with some messages like
symfony/var-dumper suggests installing ext-symfony_debug ()
symfony/translation suggests installing symfony/config ()
I now did chmod -R 777 larvel-app to make whole folder writable by everyone. I now started php server with following command
cd laravel-app
php artisan serve
and it gave following message
Laravel development server started on http://localhost:8000
When viewed from web browser in address http://localhost:8000, there is nothing, only blank page. When I browse this address, the server seems to quit.
I have following environment:
OSX Mavericks;
MAMP with php 5.4.10 and apache2;
following extensions in php.ini file

When I run which php from command line, I get following.
/Applications/MAMP/bin/php/php5.4.10/bin/php
When I tried to run this in mamp ie localhost:8888, it gave 500 internal server error.
Please suggest me, where I might have made mistake.
As a OSX user i strongly recommend you to use Laravel Homestead to develop your applications.

You only need to install:
Virtualbox

I have my projects in ~/code folder, so everytime i create a new project, i just:
Add project test domain to my local host file (my-project.app pointing to localhost 127.0.0.1)
ssh into the homestead virtualmachine (homestead ssh)
run built in serve command (serve my-project.app /path/to/project/public)
Voilà
The most common reason for this is that the web server process does not have write access to the storage folder and its subfolders.
Set the permissions on the storage folder so that the web server can create files.
You don't have to use php serve, mamp does that for you. Make sure you point your directory to public folder. You can also use custom domain for each of your projects.
Also for Mac there is laravel valet. Easy to get started with many php projects.
I think you should move your Laravel Application to
/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/
and then you can access it on
http://localhost:8888/laravel-app
