Parse piped email with PHP - php

I have been trying to setup up a system with this functionality:
Send email to my server
Server pipes email to php script
Php script parses email getting subject and body
Get phone number from subject of email and send text with email body
I have found an email parser here: https://github.com/daniele-occhipinti/php-email-parser
I think I have setup it up correctly but I do not know how to test it besides just sending an email. But I cannot see what my script echos at that point. Also when I do send the email I know something is not working because the text does not send via twilio. What am I doing wrong?
Here is the code:
#!/usr/bin/php -q
<?php
require_once '../resources/Twilio/autoload.php';
use Twilio\Rest\Client;
require('config.php');
// Retrieve Email
require_once("../resources/PlancakeEmailParser.php");
$email = "php://stdin";
$emailParser = new PlancakeEmailParser(file_get_contents($email));
$subject = $emailParser->getSubject();
$text = $emailParser->getPlainBody();
$number = preg_replace('/[^0-9]/', '', $subject);
$phone = "+".$number;
// After this I send the message via Twilio

You are piping the input so you probably need to buffer the stream to ensure you have received all the data before you try and process it.
Something like this:
$dataIn = fopen('php://stdin', 'r');
if ($dataIn) {
$email = '';
while($line = fgets($dataIn)) {
$email .= $line;
}
fclose($dataIn);
}

How to change a pipe-forwarded email's "From" and "To" section in PHP

I am trying to mask emails. Basically give an email to a client like "RandomName#MyDomain.com" and have it forward "MyRealEmail#MyDomain.com".
I am pipe forwarding the emails to a php script on my server, where I want to use the "To" and "From" to find the real recipient of the message and forward the message to them removing any identifiable information from the Sender (From) section.
I can parse almost all the data right now from the header, but my problem is with the body. The html body portion can vary so much from different origins. Outlook have a <html> and <body> section, while Gmail just has <div>s. Regardless, I get these strange "=" signs in my raw email too, in both text and html sections, like <=div>!
I just want to change the "From" and "To" and keep the rest of the email pretty much exactly as it is so it doesn't have anomalies in its text or html section.
How can I do this? Should I just parse the raw email and change the occurrences of the emails? how can I send it then? or should I remake the email using phpmailer or some other class? how can i get the body correct then?
My hosting provider doesn't have MailParse extension installed, since I have seen some solutions on the site using that extension, so I am having to do this using available extensions in PHP 5.5
UPDATE
I managed to figure out the = issue, it was quoted-printable, so now I am calling quoted_printable_decode() to resolve that issue. Still trying to figure the best way to forward the email after altering the header though.
After a lot of failed attempts, finally have a solution I can live with. The host server didn't want to allow MailParse because it was an issue on their shared hosting environment, so I went with Mail_mimeDecode and Mail_MIME PEAR extensions.
// Read the message from STDIN
$fd = fopen("php://stdin", "r");
$input = "";
while (!feof($fd)) {
$input .= fread($fd, 1024);
}
fclose($fd);
$params['include_bodies'] = true;
$params['decode_bodies'] = true;
$params['decode_headers'] = true;
$decoder = new Mail_mimeDecode($input);
$structure = $decoder->decode($params);
// get the header From and To email
$From = ExtractEmailAddress($structure->headers['from'])[0];
$To = ExtractEmailAddress($structure->headers['to'])[0];
$Subject = $structure->headers['subject'];
ExtractEmailAddress uses a solution from "In PHP, how do I extract multiple e-mail addresses from a block of text and put them into an array?"
For the Body I used the following to find the text and html portions:
$HTML = "";
$TEXT = "";
// extract email body details
foreach($structure as $K => $V){
if(is_array($V)){
foreach($V as $KK => $VV){
if(is_object($VV)){
$bodyHTML = false;
$bodyPLAIN = false;
foreach($VV as $KKK => $VVV){
if(!is_array($VVV)){
if($KKK === 'ctype_secondary'){
if($VVV === 'html') { $bodyHTML = true; }
if($VVV === 'plain') { $bodyPLAIN = true; }
}
if($KKK === 'body'){
if($bodyHTML){
$bodyHTML = false;
$HTML .= quoted_printable_decode($VVV);
}
if($bodyPLAIN){
$bodyPLAIN = false;
$TEXT .= quoted_printable_decode($VVV);
}
}
}
}
}
}
}
}
Finally, I had the parts I needed so I used Mail_MIME to get the message out. I do my database lookup logic here and find the real destination and masked From email address using the From and To I extracted from the header.
$mime = new Mail_mime(array('eol' => "\r\n"));
$mime->setTXTBody($TEXT);
$mime->setHTMLBody($HTML);
$mail = &Mail::factory('mail');
$hdrs = array(
'From' => $From,
'Subject' => $Subject
);
$mail->send($To, $mime->headers($hdrs), $mime->get());
I don't know if this will cover all cases of email bodies, but since my system is not using attachments I am ok for now.
Take not of quoted_printable_decode(), that how I fixed the issue with the = in the body.
The only issue is the delay in mail I am having now, but I'll deal with that

Why is this script sending blank emails without using template in SugarCRM?

This is my code to send emails in SugarCRM CE 6.5.x version,
<?php
if (!defined('sugarEntry') || !sugarEntry) die('Not A Valid EntryPoint');
require_once('include/SugarPHPMailer.php');
$msg = new SugarPHPMailer();
$emailObj = new Email();
$defaults = $emailObj->getSystemDefaultEmail();
//Setup template
require_once('XTemplate/xtpl.php');
$xtpl = new XTemplate('custom/modules/Users/ChangePassword.html');
//assign recipients email and name
$rcpt_email = 'sohan.tirpude#mphasis.com';
$rcpt_name = 'Sohan';
//Set RECIPIENT's address
$email = $msg->AddAddress($rcpt_email, $rcpt_name);
//Send msg to users
$template_name = 'User';
//Assign values to variables in template
$xtpl->assign('EMAIL_NAME', $rcpt_name);
$xtpl->parse();
//$body = "Hello Sohan, It's been 80 days that you haven't changed your password. Please take some time out to change password first before it expires.";
$msg->From = $defaults['email'];
$msg->FromName = $defaults['name'];
$msg->Body = from_html(trim($xtpl->text($template_name)));
//$msg->Body = $body;
$msg->Subject = 'Change Password Request';
$msg->prepForOutbound();
$msg->AddAddress($email);
$msg->setMailerForSystem();
//Send the message, log if error occurs
if (!$msg->Send()){
$GLOBALS['log']->fatal('Error sending e-mail: ' . $msg->ErrorInfo);
}
?>
Now this script send blanks emails, and when I hardcoded body part then it is takes those message written in body, and sends an email. So, please help me here.

bcc multiple addresses with swiftmailer

Im using the below php code to send an email to one address and bcc 2 other addresses. It sends to the recipient fine but I can only get it to send to one of the 2 bcc addresses. (see comments in code for what ive tried)
Oddly enough though, $result comes back as 3 so it seems that its trying to send the second bcc email but it never comes through.
<?php
$tracker='tracking#pnrbuilder.com';
$subject = $_POST['subject'];
$sender = $_POST['sender'];
$toEmail=$_POST['toEmail'];
$passedInEmail=stripslashes($_POST['message']);
$passedInEmail=preg_replace('/ /',' ',$passedInEmail);
require_once('swiftLib/simple_html_dom.php');
require_once('swiftLib/swift_required.php');
$transport = Swift_MailTransport::newInstance();
$mailer = Swift_Mailer::newInstance($transport);
// Create the message
$message = Swift_Message::newInstance();
//turn the meesage into an object using simple_html_dom
//so we can iterate through and embed each image
$content = str_get_html($passedInEmail);
// Retrieve all img src tags and replace them with embedded images
foreach($content->find('img') as $e)
{
if($e->src != "")
{
$value = $e->src;
$newValue = $message->embed(Swift_Image::fromPath($value));
$e->src = $newValue;
}
}
$message->setSubject($subject);
$message->setFrom($sender);
$message->setTo($toEmail);
//this is my problem
$message->setBcc(array('tracking#pnrbuilder.com',$sender));
//as it is above only "sender" gets the email
//if I change it like this:
//$message->setBcc($tracker,$sender);
//only "tracker" gets the email
//same if I change it like this:
//$message->setBcc($sender);
//$message->addBcc($tracker);
$message->setReplyTo(array('flights#pnrbuilder.com'));
$message->setBody($content,'text/html');
$result = $mailer->send($message);
if ($result=3) {
echo 'Email Sent!';
}
else {
echo 'Error!';
}
?>
What is the proper way to do this?
You can find the swiftmailer tutorial here
example:
$message->setBcc(array(array('some#address.tld' => 'The Name'),array('another#address.tld' => 'Another Name')));
Try setting the names for the email addresses and see if it makes any difference.
This ended up being an issue on the server side, I contacted my hosting provider (GoDaddy) who were able to make some changes on their end fixing the problem. Thank you to all those who tried to help!

php Mail sending double content

I am working on a massmail script which sends an e-mail to every e-mail id present in a particular database.
But there is some issue.
Like I have following database:
id email link
1 a#bc.com bc.com
2 b#cd.com cd.com
And suppose the mail content is : 'Testing this script'
The scripts sends email to a#bc.com perfectly but second time it sends the email, i.e to b#cd.com the content gets doubled.
I mean the second recipient receives an e-mail like this :
Testing this script
Testing this script
The third recipient receives an e-mail with the content repeat three times and the fourth one receives it with four times and so on.
The script grabs e-mail addresses from the email field in the database and sends e-mail to them.
My Code:
<?
include "header.php";
include "config2.php";
$subject="Massmail";
$headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=iso-8859-1" . "\r\n";
mysql_connect($server, $db_user, $db_pass)
or die ("Database CONNECT Error");
$resultquery = mysql_db_query($database, "select * from $table");
while ($query = mysql_fetch_array($resultquery))
{
$mailto=$query[$table_email];
$domain=$query[$table_link];
$domain2 = str_replace(array('http://','HTTP://','Http://'), '',$domain);
$handle = fopen("http://$domain2","r") or die("Unable to open link ( $domain ). <a href='javascript:history.go(-1);'>Go back</a> and please try again ");
$contents = '';
while (!feof($handle)) {
$contents .= fread($handle, 8192);
$contents = str_replace('window.location = "/abc.html"','window.location = ""',$contents);
$contents = mb_convert_encoding($contents, "HTML-ENTITIES", "auto");
}
$i = md5(uniqid(rand(), true)) . '.' . html;
$fh = fopen("/home/host/public_html/content/$i", "w");
fwrite($fh, $contents);
fclose($fh);
$filename = '/files/$i';
$message1 .= "Testing Mail Script Version 2";
mail($mailto, $subject, $message1, $headers, "-f" . 'noreply#domain.com');
echo 'Mail sent to '.$mailto.'<br>';
sleep($seconds);
}
include "footer.php";
?>
I have tried to echo the mail that has to be sent and I get this:
To: a#bc.com
Subject: Massmail
Message:
Testing mail script
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
to: b#cd.com
Subject: Massmail
Message:
Testing mail scriptTesting mail script
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
In the code line: $message1 .= "Testing Mail Script Version 2"; the period is a concatenate, so each time you loop it, you duplicate the message another time.
Agreed. Sounds like your loop is not functioning correctly? If you can't post the full code, try to post an abstraction for us to diagnose your issue.
If you cant, I would look into looping based on the number of email address you have, not some arbitrary counter. That might help you out.
Suppose this is your table. With id, email, link, message structured as:
id email message
1 a#test.com hello, how are you doing..
2 b#test.com hey, dude this is me..
3 c#test.com we are sending you this...
Now, let's assume you have 100 records. What I would do is (assuming $result is a mysql array returning all the results from mysql ex SELECT * FROM mail...)
I would try:
for($i=0; $i <= count($result); $i++){
$send = mail($result['to'], $result['subject'],
$result['message'], $result['headers']);
if(!$send){
echo 'e-mail, sending has stopped';
break;
}
else{
echo 'all e-mails are sent successfully'; }
}
Never mind, I fixed it. #Pirion's post helped me. I changed
$message1 .= "Testing Mail Script Version 2";
to
$message = "Testing Mail Script Version 2";
And everything worked perfectly. Thank You So Much Guys For Helping Me Out.

PHP email Piping get 'to' field

I am trying to use email piping with PHP.
I have it working except I can't get the 'To' field.
I am using the following PHP code:
#!/usr/bin/php -q
<?php
// read from stdin
$fd = fopen("php://stdin", "r");
$email = "";
while (!feof($fd))
{
$email .= fread($fd, 1024);
$to1 = explode ("\nTo: ", $email);
$to2 = explode ("\n", $to1[1]);
$to = str_replace ('>', '', str_replace('<', '', $to2[0]));
}
fclose($fd);
mail('email#example.com','From my email pipe!','"' . $to . '"');
?>
If I use a email address (for example: john#smith.com) and send a email to my email address that is forwarded to my PHP piping script (pipe.php) I want it to be able to get who the email was sent to.
For Example:
john#smith.com emails my forwarding email that goes to my PHP piping script (bob#example.com) I want it to return just the bob part only without the #example.com
What happens now is that it returns the whole email address such as "bob#example.com" and I want it to only return bob (without any talking marks).
I have tried using this:
$to = $to.split("#");
but I seem to get an error that says: split() expects at least 2 parameters.
That gets sent to the person who sent the email.
Does anyone know how to do this or know what I might be doing wrong?
This is my first time using Piping in PHP, so if I am doing something wrong please let me know.
Ended up using:
$to1 = explode ("\nTo: ", $email);
$to2 = explode ("\n", $to1[1]);
$to = str_replace ('>', '', str_replace('<', '', $to2[0]));
list($toa, $tob) = explode('#', $to);
then changed the mail to:
mail('email#example.com','From my email pipe!','"' . $toa . '"');
