I am trying to send all of my users an email for a custom event. For this, I have written the following code but it is not working. What am I doing wrong?
//send mail to all users
$result= $wpdb->get_var( $wpdb->prepare("SELECT user_email FROM $table_users"));
foreach($result as $email) {
$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0" . "\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=UTF-8" . "\r\n";
$headers.= "From:mysite<info#mysite.com>\r\n";
$message = "<b>Dear! user</b>,<br/><br/> A new share is available to purchase
for amount $".$sellamt."<br>this is an automated mail.pls don't reply to this mail. ";
$send=mail($email,"mysite:New share Available to Purchase!",$message,$headers);
}
header('Location: /offer_csuccess');
exit();
Use get_users function to get all users depending on roles or any parameter you pass.
$users = get_users();
foreach( $users as $user ) {
wp_mail( $user->user_email, "New Share Available to Purchase!", $message );
}
Also using WordPress you have advantage not to mention the headers every time. You just need to use wp_mail. It really does sending email simpler.
Hope it help :)
get all user function get_users();
$all_users = get_users();
foreach ($all_users as $user) {
$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0" . "\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=UTF-8" . "\r\n";
$headers.= "From:mysite<info#mysite.com>\r\n";
$message = "<b>Dear! user</b>,<br/><br/> A new share is available to purchase
for amount $".$sellamt."<br>this is an automated mail.pls don't reply to this mail. ";
$send=mail($user->user_email,"mysite:New share Available to Purchase!",$message,$headers);
}
exit();

I want that email reply in php should be received at multiple email address. But it is not working for me. I have tried different ways but none of these working for me.
I am trying this header but it is only replying to the last email address.
$to = "recipientemail#address.com";
$subject = "my email subject";
$message = "my email message";
$headers = array();
$headers []= "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
$headers []= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8\r\n";
$headers []= "Reply-To: <" . $EmailAddress1 . "> <" . $EmailAddressss2 . ">" . "\r\n" ;
wp_mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
I have tried without braces as well but this one is also not working
$headers []= "Reply-To: 1st#address.com,2nd#address.com\r\n";
I do not have much idea about this so little guidance about this will be much appreciated. Thank you!
I'm creating a simple mail form with checkboxes, a couple of input tabs, and a text input section. It uses PHP to retrieve the information then email it to a specific email. Right now I have it emailing to my own yahoo email just for testing. When I test the site on my hosting account jacobbuller.com/testsites/peacock/contact.php the form works perfectly and forwards the email from my generic "theski" server email. But when I upload the site to the actually live hosting account for peacockautoservice.com the contact form works - it executes and sends a ?msg=1 variable in the url - but I never receive the email in my Yahoo account...
Here's the PHP I am using to send the email.
<?php ob_start();
<?php
$required_field = array('name', 'email', 'message');
foreach($required_field as $fieldname) {
if (!isset($_POST[$fieldname])) {
$errors[] = $fieldname;
}}
if (empty($errors)) {
$name = $_POST['name'];
$email = $_POST['email'];
$message = $_POST['message'];
$contact = $_POST['contact'];
$phone = $_POST['phone'];
$services = IsChecked('checkboxes', 'factory');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'timing belt');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'brakes');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'computerized');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'steering and suspension');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'heating and air');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'electrical');
$services .= IsChecked('checkboxes', 'other');
$body = "Customer:" . $name;
$body.= "Phone Number:" . $phone;
$body.= "Contact:" . $contact;
$body.= "Services:" . $services;
$body.= "Message:" . $message;
$to = "jcbbuller#yahoo.com";
$subject = "Peacock Auto Services Inquirey";
$from = $email;
$mailed = mail($to, $subject, $body, $from) or die("Error!");
}
if($mailed) {
redirect_to("../contact.php?msg=1");
}
?>
<?php
// IsChecked FUNCTION - Detemines what checkbox are/aren't checked on form.
function IsChecked($postname, $value){
if(!empty($_POST[$postname])) {
foreach($_POST[$postname] as $job) {
if ($job == $value) {
$project = " ". $value . " ";
return $project;
}
}
}
} //END IsChecked FUNCTION
function redirect_to( $location = NULL ) {
if ($location != NULL) {
header("Location: {$location}");
exit;
}
}
?>
<?php ob_end_flush(); ?>
Please let me know if you see something wrong with the PHP above or if you know why their GoDaddy hosting account is not executing the email. I tried using their customer service network but they said that they can't help me with my code...
Your issue is mainly at server end. Mail function is working because of your check on it, if it had failed, it would have given you notification. So, mails are going definitely. If mail server is working properly at your production server, then check for SPAM folder at yahoo mail server. I would suggest you to ask your hosting provider to enable SPF and DKIM records because most of email providers requires sender authentication (if it is not a spam) and these records are helpful in it.
I can also see that your not using any headers, so I would suggest you to use extended headers to avoid providers identifying you as a spammer. I use below mentioned headers and my emails never go in spam on anyprovider, but again it depends on IP reputation of the server as well.
$headers .= "Reply-To: Awaraleo <email#domain.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "Return-Path: Awaraleo <email#domain.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "From: Awaraleo <email#domain.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "Organization: Awaraleo\r\n";
$headers .= "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
$headers .= "X-Priority: 3\r\n";
$headers .= "X-Mailer: PHP". phpversion() ."\r\n";
and then use it like
mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);
Here email#domain.org should be a valid email address created on the domain where this form is implemented.
Another authentic way is to use SMTP Authentication in coding.
I am quite new to PHP and am experimenting with an online ordering website in php. I have come across a problem when trying to send a confirmation email using a 'cc'.
Every time an order is processed, the order always sends to the 'CC' address specified as the '$from' and the sender (the from) is what is specified in the '$to' section. In the email confirmation received, it only displays the from section and the 'to' and 'cc' are empty as demonstrated below:
From: **$_SESSION['od_email']**
To: *This space is empty*
CC: orders#business.co.uk
Can anyone help to point out where I am going wrong? I have attached the code below.
//THIS IS CODE FOR THE EMAIL WHICH IS AUTOMATICALLY SENT TO THE CUSTOMER AND THE BUSINESS WHEN AN ORDER IS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
//define the receiver of the email
$to = $_SESSION['od_email'];
//define the subject of the email
$subject = 'Order Confirmation | Ref No for Order: '. $_SESSION['orderId'];
//define the message to be sent. Each line should be separated with \n
$message = 'test';
//Who the message is from
$from = "orders#business.co.uk";
$cc = "orders#business.co.uk";
//define the headers we want passed. Note that they are separated with \r\n
$headers = "From:" . $from;
//bcc header going to the to go to the business as confirmation
$headers = "cc:" . $cc;
//send the email
$mail_sent = #mail( $to, $subject, $message, $headers );
What I need for it to show is:
From: **orders#business.co.uk**
To: **$_SESSION['od_email'];**
CC: **orders#business.co.uk**
Thanks in advance for any help given
When you're going to set the CC, you're overwriting what was in $headers. Try:
$headers = "From:" . $from . "\r\n";
$headers.= "Cc:" . $cc;
And if that doesn't help, there's always PHP's documentation on mail.
I would go all out with your headers and make sure you set everything you need to,
// To send HTML mail, the Content-type header must be set
$headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
// Additional headers
$headers .= 'To: ' .$to. "\r\n";
$headers .= 'From: ' .$from. "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Cc: '.$cc. "\r\n";
also, I believe mail() needs a valid email address, I do not know how you have the email set before $_SESSION['od_email'] but if you are running a test and literally expecting $_SESSION['od_email'] to come with it that wont work, it will see it as a not valid email and return false, thus returning nothing. To further diagnose that problem tho we would need to know how $_SESSION['od_email'] is setup
EDIT
Okay I am pretty sure the issue is caused how you are setting up $_SESSION['od_email]' based on your comment below.
Note: I am assuming your database is $db, but if not you need to change $db to the prober name
Let's try this and see how it works
// Get Data from the Database
$query = "SELECT `od_email` FROM `tbl_order`";
$result = $db->query($query);
while ($data = $db->fetch_array($result)) {
// Set Up the SESSION email
$_SESSION['od_email'] = $data['od_email'];
// Prepare the Email
$to = $_SESSION['od_email'];
$subject = 'Order Confirmation | Ref No for Order: '. $_SESSION['orderId'];
$message = 'test';
$from = "orders#business.co.uk";
$cc = "orders#business.co.uk";
// To send HTML mail, the Content-type header must be set
$headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
// Additional headers
$headers .= 'To: ' .$to. "\r\n";
$headers .= 'From: ' .$from. "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Cc: '.$cc. "\r\n";
// Send the email
mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);
}
Couldn't he just add an #mail ? such as...
$mail_sent = #mail( $od_email, $subject, $message, $headers );
or
mail( $od_email, $subject, $message, $headers );
Replacing any variables.
Always worked for me.
just done a little bit of code to send out a newsletter based on a sql table.
first one with 70/80 subscribers went off fine, now when i've moved to the second one that has around 250, the body_message of the email is repeated inside the email equally to the number of people on the mailing list, in this case I was sending emails with 250 duplicates of the content inside...
not sure whats wrong with the code, have stripped it down as much as i could and was wondering if someone could talk a look and hopefully point out the issue
<?php
$i=1;
if (isset($_POST['submit_btn'])) {
connect_newsletter();
$result = mysql_query("SELECT id, mail FROM test") or die('Could not connect. ' . mysql_error());
while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
$email = $row['mail'];
$nid = $row['id'];
$ip=$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
$ref="http://www.domain.co.uk";
$body_message ='newsletter html code';
$y_email="noreply#domain.co.uk";
$headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
$headers4=$y_email;
$headers .="Reply-to: $headers4\n";
$headers .= "From: $headers4\n";
$headers .= "Errors-to: $headers4\n";
$subject="subject";
mail($email,$subject,$body_message,$headers);
echo $i." sent to ".$email;
echo "<br>";
$i++;
}
}
?>
Watching your code that is not possibile because in the loop you safely reset the value of $body and $subject
The problem could be somewhere else. Check your sendmail log
hay
i used this code
$to = "mial#live.com,mail#yahoo.com";
$subject = "Mini-mass Emailer";
$message = "<a href='#'>Hello World</a>";
$headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'From: Your Name <me#mydomain.com>' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Bcc: {$to}' . "\r\n";
if(mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers)){
echo 'ok';
}
but see what is happend
every user see the full list of the users

Your call to mail is passing the $to as the to parameter meaning those emails will be be in the to header try passing an empty string instead. You are passing the info into the bcc header so the email should still get to them that way.
That is because you have put all the users in the "to" line. You are also passing them into the "bcc" line too so just doing this may help you but as far as I know you need at least one address in the to line (although this may not be the case). It'll look pretty strange for each person doing it that way though.
The best way to avoid these issues would be to send the email multiple times, once to each user. To modify your code example to do this, I'd do something like the following:
$toAddresses = array("mial#live.com", "mail#yahoo.com");
$subject = "Mini-mass Emailer";
$message = "<a href='#'>Hello World</a>";
$headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
$headers .= 'From: Your Name <me#mydomain.com>' . "\r\n";
foreach ($toAddresses as $to) {
if(mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers)){
echo "OK - sent message to {$to}";
}
}
The easiest way is to take this Mail-Class of phpguru.org:
http://www.phpguru.org/static/htmlMimeMail5
There you can specify with setBcc() the addresses which should be "blind", it's pretty easy and works well. I use this class in every project.
Best Regards.
